Who loves the sound of the air suspension? The hissing and squeaking! Best trains by far!! my heart really goes out to them, it’s a shame they’re not in service anymore:(
HST say's too Dawlish this is the song of my people "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEB"
There's a pastor, known for having visions that come true who said this is what the Angel's trumpet will sound like when "The Rapture," as they say, happens. Well, he said it was similar to what he heard. (Ken Peters)
It's to stop things like this from happening, you have to slow down to 20 if your horn gets stuck on anyhow (it is also a massive drain on the compressed air supply with the constant draw) (sources-Friend who is a driver + long discussion on ukrailforum XD)
I love HST trains. Here in Italy there are not diesel-trains that powerful and fast, because all the main lines are electrified. The most powerful diesel-electric locomotive is the old d445, built in 1974, with a displacement of 95 litres, 1.560 kw and a maximum speed of 130 kmh (80 mph).
LOL I am watching in quarantine and the only thing wrong is in the video and the description it says First Great Western but I am mentally screaming Great Western Railway..
my guy went like: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...................................
Legend has it the horn is still going as the train heads round the Great Western network.

Bloody hell that sound would be terrifying if you didn't know what it was
Yeah at first it sounded like an air raid siren

This sounds like something you would hear in your nightmare

A good example of the Doppler effect as the train passed and the tone dropped.
Also at 2:15 you can hear a drop in tone, possibly due to it bouncing back off the walls?
I love the sound of the air suspension as it squeaks!
If I heard that not knowing what it was at two in the morning, it would be like having a nightmare in reality.
2:04 is where the horn starts
After 2:47, watching at full volume not recommended
Cpr1234 I did sorry
Lol rip headphone users!
thats one angry driver
When Gordon's whistle got stuck, the fitter used a big hammer to silence it!
Rip my ears that happened at temple meads when I was next to it
Wonder how he got it off.
+DaROBLOXChannel Isolate the tone that was stuck (if both tones are stuck then both must be isolated then a max running speed of 20 MPH)
I didn't know you could isolate tones.sciisfun

sciisfun
Haha, thanks for telling me.
sciisfun why do u have to slow down?
sounds like an air raid siren lol
It certainly does
"It isn't wrong, but we just don't do it."
-Gordon 1986
That would get very annoying very quickly! Seems that blasting the other tone didn't seem to unstick it either
Best thing iv seen in a while that poor driver must have had enough of that by the end of the journey lol
This was at Dawlish - heaven help the poor driver's ears if this continued all the way to Paddington...
I was wondering if it is similar to a car horn where sometimes if you have a bad earth, it causes the horn to continually sound.
I can remember one of the Stagecoach Mercedes minibuses having a stuck horn...
Sounds like one of those Indian Trains that blow theur horn for ages!
tornado had this issue few weeks ago lol
Luckily he did not explode

Sounds like a tornado siren stuck in 1 direction
Tornado's whistle stuck as well🙂
THE TONEZZZ!!!
"it isn't wrong" said Gordon, "but we just don't do it"
(I didn't know air horns could stick as well)
"It happened to me once", Gordon told Pip & Emma.
The trains just got trapped wind
Well having a horn stuck on full is one way to get people out of the way
He was just showing off to the webcam
I DIDNT HEAR ANY HORN.
This maybe 4 years ago now but did you even watch the full video?
