great video
Thanks Chris, much appreciated 👍
Nooice!
Thanks for the feedback 🙂
Is this better than a standard extractor. Are these really loud??
Yes an inline is much better than a wall or ceiling mounted unit because they are generally much more powerful. Noise will depend on many things; A solid wall mounted fan will be very quite, but a ceiling / stud wall mounted will be loud because of the vibrations. One of the benefits of an inline fan includes the ability to hang them (although you may need to create your own fixings to enable this, see episode 2). This stops the vibration throughout the property. The trade off how ever is the noise of the air being sucked into the ducting. The vent I used is adjustable, and as such changes the noise level as well as the exhaust level. Noise can be further reduced by using solid ducting.
Thanks for the video. I noticed that you drilled through popcorn, i have a popcorn ceiling as well. Is this a concern for asbestos?
With my property it wasn't, asbestos was banned in the mid 70s and my property is early 80's. If you have concerns, you can purchase testing kits online that will confirm either way for you. Hope that helps?
@@ChampionsOfTheTrade thanks!
@@TheWorldIsPeopleingAsbestos was used in Artex until 1984. You can get it checked ,there are companies online you can send a sample to if you want to be sure before tampering with 👍👍
