From 0:50 - 7:13 It had dark wheels with Blue rims. Then the video of bashing shows wheels with red rims. Did you switch wheels or trucks? Truck looks like fun and still a nice video.
Hello, I ordered this truck. I would like to know if a 3s 5200 mah battery would fit? I want to order one the battery is Zeee, size is 5.43 in long by 1.85 in wide by 1.46 in tall . Will it fit the battery tray? Or what is the size of the stock battery for comparison. It will help a lot if you could answer when you can.Thanks.
I think the truck needs some bigger towers to make it possible to fit shocks that would allow more travel. I fitted a set of old Schumacher Racing shocks and the issue was still seen. When the shock is removed the arm has loads of clearance so it is possible to fix this issue.
Great review 👍 but when you spend £169? Then have to buy 100mm oil filled shocks for the back and probably not far off 100mm for the front hopefully 🙏 it will cost you £20? And then save your towers and wheels it’s probably a good basher? If just upgrading the shocks works? 🤷♂️👍
I have 2 xlf f22a’s and agree with the tower/shock issue. I’ll try changing the shock oil to a thicker weight to compensate for the limited travel. Will try 40 front/50 rear and 50 front/50 rear combination.
@@chriscampilan2548 yeah I’m thinking it would be better, would longer shocks fit?? You can put spacers in the shocks themselves but that only reduces travel!! Good luck 😉 hope it makes you car smoother and more durable 👍😎
Basically you have to push every vehicle to its breaking point to find and it's weakness and then work backwards from there identifying identifying high stress points. Is other than a basic chassi aluminum parts cause nothing but trouble. Especially cast cheap aluminum. Once you get into the 7000 series aluminum you might be looking at something that resembles an upgrade but only if it is placed strategically
If you turn the fire maker symbol upside down it looks like magnus Walker lol give me strength to go on that's wer Kevin Talbot and the crew bashes wowza
Sorry I disagree it’s not always the case. The tower is held from the bottom, an upward angled force from the shocks being completely compressed can push the top of a tower backwards 1-1.5mm enough to misalign the body posts to show some bending. I was only talking a small amount of bending, not the level you are talking about when smashing a tower directly into the ground.
I bought the previous XLF. Fun or the kids, nothing spectacular. Wheels are wobbly no matter how hard you tighten the wheel-nuts. Doesn't break because kids drive 'em easy. You bashed this one, came out strong, so looks good. But the wheel breaking off completely?
I'm not sure if the wheels would hold up better if the shocks had been changed out for a longer travel set. I might test it again if I fit replacement shocks.
Not my cup of tea but looks alright for a basher. No doubt the modding community will come out with a mod on the shocks or the manufacturer themselves in the next model.
Yep this chassis can be improved with not that much effort really. Shocks first, thicker towers and possibly some stronger rims would make a good start. Thicker turnbuckles would be after that and then finally a better servo will finish it off.
id rather the metal. Its nicer to work on and feels more substantial. I like my toys having consequences and less childs toy like. Im lookin at you traxxas :P
This Chinese crap hurts the hobby. If this was someone's first car they will never buy another r/c car again. It will take two months to get parts if they can at all. Some crap company will make a quick buck and totally turn someone off to a great hobby.
Sorry I’ll have to disagree with you on that one Brian. I’ve got some stunning RC cars for the money. Granted some of them are total junk but saying that for everything is just not the case.
Some kid buys one because he wants an RC car and saw this "amazing" ad online for one. It takes a month to arrive then it breaks in 20 minutes. Goes to the hobby shop. They inform him they can't get parts and probably laugh a bit. They then try and sell him what he should have bought in the first place. 90% of the time the parents will be like hell no you've wasted enough money already. For the most part cheap Chinese cars are bad for the hobby.
@@briana2137 Why wouldn’t the “kid” purchase a replacement broken part from the same site he or she purchased the car? I have broken some rims today and placed an order for replacements 20 mins ago.

Ordering stuff from China to the United States takes one to two months from places like Ali express. Drive the car 20 minutes and break it because it's your first car and have little experience. I put some slightly used red wheels on it that I had. I didn’t like the blue with the body. Same design and manufacturer.
were do i get front lower control arms ibroke one
Banggood
Hi, What do you think this is a copy of? Cheers
The worst RC car possible.
@@RCKickschannel So its not a copy of a name brand model?
Great video! Cool!
Can you tell me what would be the ideal suspension size for him? Is it a 10mm?
It's the towers that are the problem.

Great review as always. Can’t await to see which shocks you use for the upgrade.
Excellent review, very thorough. You explained the weaknesses and strengths extremely well. I enjoyed the review.
You've gone full Talbot...to the moon!!!! 😂
Even using the same skatepark, nice 🙂

First time watching your channel, immediately recognise that skate park from a certain crazy lambo owning rc freak :P
Hmm for a similar budget the 80amp Maverick quantum flux looks to be a better truck?
Maverick is most definitely far superior imo
Can’t say, I’ve not had that one yet.
One of Kevin's stomping grounds if I'm not mistaken Gav?
Yep it’s the place my daughter goes to dance. Small world
Is this the same park that another RC tuber Kevin uses?
Was you hoping to bump into mr Talbot ?
He’s far too busy building 1/1 scale Monster Trucks.
@@RCKickschannel That will really be something to see when he brings it to the skate park..."to the moon!"
Omg I just saw how much room there is to put even a bigger motor or esc. I'll get one. Put a 150a/esc, shocks and 6s!
Hi any recommendations for shock upgrades for this just got the truck it's the first thing I want to change
I’m not sure yet, I need to look and see what could work better.
Gavin at the same place as Mr Talbot!, building a full size monster truck next?
I’ll pass on that one lol.
And I thought the review was about the car people? Not the skate park n Mr. Tumble!! 🙈
What's the length of the stock shock absorbers?
9cm total length, 2cm travel
@@chriscampilan2548 thanks.
That skate park looks familiar lol .car looks good for price and with battery included.
It is a good base basher buggy for the money. servo, shock change and it will be a great little basher.
Thought I was watching a Talbot video 😕
Let's hope I get the same views lol.

Current stock shocks are 73mm

Probably building a 1/1 scale Monster Truck this week.
Towers only bend from inverted impact. Cmon dude

It can run 3 s as well looks crazzy fast other people had same trouble with suppention travel
Take a look at RCKiwis for another review of the XLF F22.
Cool
Rock music 🤙👍✌
That suspension is engineering genius..............lol
So it looks like you use the same skate park as kevin Talbot
Small world. It’s just down the road from me, my daughter goes to dance class in the eco building.
After watching the whole video I believe you need more time in the flight simulator Gavin ;-)

A tank equals breakage. Aluminum doesn't flex it cracks and breaks. If you want flex stick with AA nice high carbon steel or go straight to titanium
Not on that budget you don’t
id rather the metal. Its nicer to work on and feels more substantial. I like my toys having consequences and less childs toy like. Im lookin at you traxxas :P
Maybe its just the video but those arms and hubs look like shiny plastic to me, not metal. You can see the mold lines on them.
100% metal. These have been cast so that’s why you see lines.
@@RCKickschannel Thanks for clarifying that. I hope you have a fantastic week!
I think for the price it’s good value just replace the shocks and don’t drive it like a total loon
Yep I agree. Swapping out the shocks would make a massive difference and like you say, don't skatepark the life out of it and it will do its job.
