Even with this project slowing down video production, just want to say, videos like this are peak Kevin Talbot content, so much fun to watch this things trials and tribulations! Thank you.
When building the veyron, Buggatti discovered it took 700 hp to make 200 mph and another 300 hp to do the next 50 mph. It's because the faster you go, the more "physics" holds you back.
Just put some non plastic fishing line around your tires, you show me this in the past and since it work well for me, you should make a try! Always fun to watch, keep going!
Rovan make a kit that bolts on some 1/5th wheels and tyres to the X-MAXX and Kraton. Those do NOT blow out, belted and beadlocked for a quarter of the price
Kev loves showing us his sausage 🤣🤣🤣. Plumber's putty works as super amazing and super cheap diff locker. And the amount of "lock" depends on how much you stuff in there. It works great
I love how there's 8 days of footage just to get this one video done. Wow man. Also for the "off-road" challenge I think the length of the grass/field type should be similar so you don't have some guy winning on a golf course green or perfectly manicured ASTRO turf.
Hey KT! That Red sausage is Crazy fast can't wait to see you break the 100mph mark! I was thinking if you had some molds made for making some spray-foam with a mesh grounding strap soldered together for a belt on the outer diameter of the foam may work less flexing and ballooning of the foams and tires?🤔😉👍 Great content and videos you always have me in stitches! "My Sausage is broken" too Funny!🤣😂🤣
Great video Kev, have you thought about soaking the foams in rubber cement or silicone? this "should" help bond them to the tires and wheels, fit them and let them dry for a few days Good luck hitting the ton, all the best Eddie 🐦.
I've seen a lot of people put fishing wire around the external tread of the tyre to stop it from ballooning because the wire has such a good tensile strength. Have you given that a try on the normal tyres?
One of my favorite rc build!! And Yessssssssssss I know this feeling when your so tired you start to make more work than just taking a break. But when you love what your making or building you don't realize time. Time doesn't matter!!😎😎😎. Kevin your the 🐐 on fun!!! Would love to meet you some day!! I travel a lot to Germany and other countries around Europe. But not in your neck of the woods. Love the monster truck!!
Kevin, the rim is probably spinning inside the tire, hence the lack of power, I would suggest looking at just getting a solid aluminum tire/rim for the grass, just make it a 1 piece ordeal and forget about the rubber.
Hi Kev, just a suggestion, what about some 3 mm wire round the tire of the badlands that might work for that extra couple of miles an hour and stop them ballooning, good luck mate can’t wait for the next one and I love your Vids buddy.
Heck yeah, I'm going to buy a game-over hoodie since it's almost wintertime. I've been wanting game-over merch. The Monster truck looks soooooo sick Kev! We love the sausage! It's the craziest and silliest RC car on UA-cam IMO.
Leave the springs alone Kev, you need to swap to a heavier weight oil in your shocks possibly softer springs. Stiffer springs are just going to make it bounce more without damping them properly. I suspect the source of the bounce may be from the flex in the snowboard. You may want to consider some bracing for the chasis.
Hi Kev. I have an idea that may assist you in achieving your goal. I believe that you need to stiffen the board to reduce the bounce that is being produced. I would screw two pieces of angle down each side. By reducing the bounce, the tyres should stay grounded better preventing them from ballooning so much. I hope this helps you out. Cheers
Very very fantastic bro your anyone video very very nice 👍 I am from India and your all videos watching your anyone video osm bro I love only full max level rc cars🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏
If the wheels are in the air, they're not pushing the car forward! You're making the right changes Kev so keep up the good work! I'm sure you can crack 100 MPH it's just that field isn't ideal with all the bumps. Keep at it Kev, we love you for it!
I really like the video. It's very interesting to see this build progress. Isn't it interesting to see how challenging it can be to go just a bit faster. Especially when you have reached such high speeds.
Totally funny seeing that you attached all your RC car gear to a skateboard. I did something similar when I was in Middle School with a radio shack car that had two gears. I just added a second battery. It burnt out the reverse wiring but that thing would fly in forward. It was a little red blazer first car I ever seen with two gears.
So close love the content especially not giving up. Can you try the fishing string around the tires to keep them from ballooning so much I think that will help keep the tires on and hit that 💯 mph maybe a few more then a 100 I think you can hit 103mph you got this Kevin!!!!
Kev as an engineer i have a few ideas, I'm going to suggest you get some billet alloy wheels cnc machined up, they will be totally balanced and lighter than the rubber ones,, I think this will help you heaps.
Kev, have you locked up the center diff? It’s to loose originaly with that large of a motor :) that will help you to get the power to the wheels. Also the reason many people blow center diffs on the 8s :)
Loved the notebook maths, that's really helpful to show how these things are calculated. Nice vid, Kev. Love the tenacity! (Oh, and that you did it all in the one video, NICE)
Try using some nylon string and wrap it around the tires to help stop the ballooning. And also maybe vent the outside of the wheel and tape the inside?
The first thing you say starting this video: "This, is my sousage. The world longest, and fast" 😂. Amazing video, you and yours content, are amazing ❤️
Could you maybe wrap thin braided metal wire around those tires to stop any expansion when they spin freely? You want to keep your weight down and those mods you are making seem to be adding more weight, making it harder to reach 100mph.
Love your videos Sir. Thanks for the great content. You have some awesome things going on these days keep it up. I cant wait to see more of your Raminator series as well.
Hey Kev - Not sure how much this matters on RC scale, But heavier wheels are harder to spin. Rotational mass. it could be that if you went back to the original wheels/ran lighter wheels that you would be able to get the speed you're looking for.. or go faster WITHOUT having to gear up!
Another idea may be to trace out the snowboard and get yourself a custom carbon fiber "snowboard" to put in place of the one you have now. weight WILL cause you to break parts, like you did in this video! Ofcourse it also slows it down a considerable amount. considering how much weight you could potentially shed off - you've got a lot more in it!
I've been following you for about 2 years when I started in the RC hobby and I have to say that you are from far my favorite content creator in this category. Props to you for completing your dream by building your own Monster truck! You are the definition of dedication and a source of inspiration!✅️🔥
It's aluminum NOT aluminum. 😒
which one is it? you spelt them both the same 🤣🤣🤣
@@KevinTalbotTV Or was it Data or Data? Lol 😆
Yea it's aluminum, not aluminum, jeez!

The Sausage has reached legendary status ! The most interesting RC build on the internet. .
false there a 1/3 build rc car with a real v10 engine
I would also argue false. However this is probably more appealing to people than the water cooled slash I built with a bunch of custom cnc parts
@Hwy 49 RC that sounds really interesting . The Sausage is a novelty RC for fun .
Even with this project slowing down video production, just want to say, videos like this are peak Kevin Talbot content, so much fun to watch this things trials and tribulations! Thank you.
Come on kev keep going your nearly there. What an inspiration you really are for dedication to any project or life goals people have.
“This is my sausage” had me in tiers 😂😂😂
Must've been a well layered joke

Your comment had me in tears😂
For sure
wow what a battle for just a couple mph. love watching it unfold!
When building the veyron, Buggatti discovered it took 700 hp to make 200 mph and another 300 hp to do the next 50 mph. It's because the faster you go, the more "physics" holds you back.

@@Jay_570 Bro Come on we havin’ fun right here
@Jay_570bet your fun at party’s
4:38 in your own words. Those tires look seriously EPIC !!!!! I'm excited to see the rest of the vid LOL
Fantastic effort so far Kev. It's turned in to a real mission.
The effort you have put into the sausage is unbelievable, it is certainly keeping us entertained
The amount of money as well thank you Kevin
Just put some non plastic fishing line around your tires, you show me this in the past and since it work well for me, you should make a try! Always fun to watch, keep going!
Somebody needs to make little steel belted radial tires for rc cars 👍
Fishing line solves the problem. Large orings help.
I did this for years and never had a blowout.
Rovan make a kit that bolts on some 1/5th wheels and tyres to the X-MAXX and Kraton. Those do NOT blow out, belted and beadlocked for a quarter of the price
I love how the most random idea turned out so good
One of the craziest builds ever! The dedication to the idea is commendable
Can't wait to see that thing launch off the big ramp for the long distance competition !!!
Kev loves showing us his sausage 🤣🤣🤣.

Kevin spends almost as much time with his sausage as I do with mine. That’s impressive. I think it’s great, keep it up!
If you’re moving at 100mph I’d make sure you’re using some decent axle grease
Just don't wrench on it too hard or too often.
Those tires look seriously EPIC !!!
Great video Kev, have you thought about soaking the foams in rubber cement or silicone? this "should" help bond them to the tires and wheels, fit them and let them dry for a few days Good luck hitting the ton, all the best Eddie 🐦.
Every time I see this rc car, I'm reminded of when Jeremy clarkson made a stupidly long stretch limousine on top gear years back
YOU CAN DO IT KEV! Cheering for you from Norway! Let's goo! You're doing it!
Kev! you have GOT to get a sponsorship / partnership with a tyre manufacturer to chase that elusive 100mph record
I've seen a lot of people put fishing wire around the external tread of the tyre to stop it from ballooning because the wire has such a good tensile strength. Have you given that a try on the normal tyres?
He does on some cars, but those tires are so huge and heaby, the fishing rope probably must me made out of steel or so🙈😂
Can confirm!
I put braided fishing line on my tires after they started ungluing. No more ballooning.
One of my favorite rc build!! And Yessssssssssss I know this feeling when your so tired you start to make more work than just taking a break. Hey, @kevintalbot, why don’t you put fish line or wire around the tires like you did with the long jump car? 🤷🏼♂️
it never stayed on, felt like a waste of time forever re gluing it and these tires are way heavier
Ok, thanks. I was just wondering. I’m loving this set of videos!!!
@@KevinTalbotTV surely steel tie wire would hold up?
Great vid, I like the way 3+ weeks of work have been put into 1 vid instead of smaller segments, should of went with 2 x 45t
Kevin, the rim is probably spinning inside the tire, hence the lack of power, I would suggest looking at just getting a solid aluminum tire/rim for the grass, just make it a 1 piece ordeal and forget about the rubber.
I just saw this after saying pretty much the same thing.
I think it's the way to go.
I think you should try again with the same tires but next time screw them down to the wheels in multiple spots with plastic washers
That thing is hilarious 😂 I absolutely love Kevs sausage 😆🤣😂
It takes skill to start a video off with the line, "this is my sausage" and not get age restricted. 🤣
Can't fault your dedication to this one 👍👍👌 Bigger tyres...? You only need an extra 2mph 🤔🤔
Hi Kev, just a suggestion, what about some 3 mm wire round the tire of the badlands that might work for that extra couple of miles an hour and stop them ballooning, good luck mate can’t wait for the next one and I love your Vids buddy.
Goodluck on another run kev! 👍👏
That's the first time I've seen an taylor rc formless tire completely blow out.. awesome stuff

So much dedication to all your projects.
Have you thought about a lighter stiffer board? Maybe try a carbon fibre long board.
I just Wana say congrats on the years iv watched ur videos u went from dreaming for a monster truck to actually building one urself
As soon as you hit 100mph you ought to have a custom body made for it, limo c10? Yes!

insane power to blow apart those taylor RC tires.
Those wheels are bloody gorgeous. Right nasty Mate. Keep it up.
Man this was one of the most fun videos to watch on the sausage!
Just got into rc man this is crazy first UA-camr I saw . Really enjoy the content man
Very cool, your dedication is admirable 👌
You gain speed when the tires balloon, the diameter increases and moves it further in one rotation, increasing your top speed at the same hub rpm.
Keep it up m8 can't wait to see you do it you deserve it

Exciting to see. Seems like your proline tires need some belts to handle the speed.
I’d rather watch fewer videos if it meant more like this!! Thanks Kev you are the best!
Finally another longest rc car video
Yessss
Man. Your determination is amazing. You legend.
Throw a square stock alluminum spine down the length of the snow board to stiffen the frame. Keep the whole thing from flopping about as much.

Wow look at the amount of subscribers you have massive jump since I first followed you keep great work 👍🏻
Kev, belt the ProLine tires already. Some folks have used really strong fishing line or thin wire around the tires so they don't balloon and blow out.
I'm thinking a couple of castle 1100kvs on this and we would have been done a couple weeks ago. The sausage rips, that size is crazy for 100mph 🚀
OMFG It's MAD MAX on a snowboard 🏂
Loved the notebook maths, that's really helpful to show how these things are calculated. Nice vid, Kev. Love the tenacity! (Oh, and that you did it all in the one video, NICE)

Those wheeels and tires are badass!!!
I'm confident you will get it kev love these sausage videos 👍
whenever i see you have uploaded, it makes me so happy. thanks for ur commitment to making your vids better and better each day!
A loop of safety wire run between treads on the outside of the tires may be a DIY way to keep that ballooning tendency in check.
The first thing you say starting this video: "This, is my sousage. The world longest, and fast" 😂. Amazing video, you and yours content, are amazing ❤️
Old school racer antiballooning trick for RC dirt racers was to put rubber bands around the outside of the tires to help stop them from expanding.
Best opening to a youtube video EVER !!!!!!!.!!!!
Could you maybe wrap thin braided metal wire around those tires to stop any expansion when they spin freely? You want to keep your weight down and those mods you are making seem to be adding more weight, making it harder to reach 100mph.

make sure you tracking is aligned it can cause extra friction and slow you down... and make it trickier to handle at speed, which can slow you down...
Lovely entertaining video! Car looks a bit bouncy. Maybe due to compressed springs. Can you get stronger springs instead of compressing them?
