So many nations' flags were being waved--not just the Union Jack--because of the title of this magnificent composition: LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY, which can be applied to all countries, all over the world. Elgar, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, and all of the other brilliant composers whose genius keeps us all alive with hope and glory.
I disagree. The Jack should be the ONLY flag flying during the playing of this piece. The other flags are people giving the finger to the great Gran Britannia.😢 And I’m an American.
I first heard this glorious march from Fantasia 2000, but I don't think the story in the film matches the tradition of the score itself, despite it being cute. Congratulations to all graduates of 2023!
We love the UK! We have a special relationship and, except for improper spellings, we get along famosly. There's more than unites us than divides us. Big/little brother roles tend to change for the better. The UK has kept us out of many disasters unless it suited our needs
