You gotta love the 80s...beautiful, scantily clad women and macho men with guns on every network you turned. Now all you get is reality shows. I just depressed myself.
This is the best police series ever. People watching this dream of doing this with their lives: we lead such empty, boring lives but if we are just given the chance to do something good, it would give meaning to our lives by fighting crime and evil even if we have to die for that fight.
Aaahh, this makes me nostalgic for the early 1980's,when networks put crime dramas on to actually entertain and not club you over the head with senseless violence every 15 seconds.I mean, what's not to like?? Guys jumping out of helicopters into moving speedboats, fer cryin'out loud~! Name one tv show on the air today that does that~! And Heather Locklear in her police uniform...man,that's the greatest.Need I say more~???
William Shatner is one of the most blessed actors in TV history; he led THREE major franchises: Star Trek (the original!), TJ Hooker, and Boston Legal (2 Emmys for him!).
Eddie Pardovani and dont forget he did Rescue 911 in between , not to mention the Star Trek movies. One of the last of the old school multi circuit( both Movies and TV) actors.
He turns 92 today. I've never seen a man of that age looking like 20 years younger. The guy walks, speaks, appears like a 70 year old man. Unbelievable!!!
I hear that! I'm 32 and these shows were shown as Reruns back in the day. So I still grew up on them. Shows like the A-Team, TJ Hooker, Magnum PI. No shows today are as cool as these gems
Thats because they were written and produced by writers and creators. men and women that cared about delivering quality product as much as making profit. Though some of these producers like Leonard Goldberg continue producing . Most of these guys: Aaron Spelling, Steven J Cannell, Glenn Larson are no longer with us and their products are now parts of labyrinth conglomerates that are more concerned with meeting profit quotas by doing SJW friendly reboots more than entertaining the public. Its a different world today creator driven content takes a back seat to corporste boardroom driven content
@@Treblaine Right? People think they're being oppressed by contemporary TV shows. In truth all those edgy '80s and '90s shows had campaigns to shut them down back then. Anyone would think diversity and content protests were new! They also forget about much edgier content in the shows to today but choose to ignore it in the pursuit of making a point which doesn't really bear the weight of examination.
Yes, Shatner was sure great in this. There are a lot more, strings to his acting bow that people imagine. The episode he did with Leonard Nimoy was, simply unforgettable.
it was so refreshing to have a cop named TJ hooker spending all of his time investigating crimes instead of cruising the highways and pulling people over to write out a over priced ticket for a silly little traffic infraction. TJ hooker was a mans man.
Hunter, TJ Hooker, A-Team, Miami Vice, any action-packed justice show from the 1980s. If those doesn't get my blood pumping, and my adrenaline rush going, I don't know what does; especially the opening titles.
Back when they could make good cop shows now its all about undercover cops and CSI shit they really need to make a decent show thats just about everyday uniformed cops
Nice bright picture, you can actually see what's happening in the night scenes. I'll even forgive you for not including the police car jump off the freeway where they bust the rear shock (a favorite). Great job!
When I was a kid Police had Knight sticks and Yes they would throw them at your legs and make you flip over on the ground. Police was awesome at it. They would train to throw them to stop you from running. They are also gave you warning shot to stop running and you didn't run back then.
Omg this was telly at its best . not like the shit they put on now .bring back the A team, TJ hooker , hawaii five O charlie's angels, knight rider, I could go on and on .The 80s where the best .
Have you noticed that back in the 1980s when people were giving each other a crack round the earole, 1:20 they always fall through some glass etc but when they land it's always on a bed or something. Now if that was real life they would end up on a skewer or get a candelabra candle up their khyber
OK. VIVA T.J. Hooker Intro 1982.-1985. USA./United States of America./UNITED STATES OF AMERICA And CNN./Cable News Network And Fox News Channel And Euronews And The Los Angeles Times And The New York Times And New York Post And Breaking News.🙂🙂🙂😉😉😉😊😊😊
There is more than one TV scifi connection here (Shatner being the first): James Darren was in both The Time Tunnel and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (as Vic Fontaine). And there is a Captain Sheridan! (Though not quite the same as in Babylon 5.)
The bad guy who gets the baton in the leg has a choice. Let the baton knock him down or have her partner shoot him in the back (he's already drawing his gun). Which would YOU choose?
What I liked about these 80's cop shows is they didn't have to beat the crap out of people to do their jobs. Now days they do alot of vigilante justice in tv cop shows. Grab someone in the interrogation room punch them in the stomach and ask for answers horseshit, just to get the audience entertained.
I Know that Charlie's angels is about to begin ( on MEtv),but I just couldn't forget about when this show used to come on. I still don't know why they took T. J. Hooker off their schedule?
i love the music but i made up lyrics of my own it soundslike this, hooker saves the day put the krooks away, with his big gun and the young one,. hooker saves the day. i told my mother in law now she sings it every day.

80's will never die
Good

Adam12 and TJ were the last of the era of the Righteous Cop shows
Thank you, from a fan whose *only* TV fix in the mid '80s was TJ Hooker.
80's american woman where just so beautiful. love the look thay had back then. just gorgeous
steve green I love the swimsuit style nothing like it .
Totally agree ,it was when women looked like real women .
Heather Locklear was absolutely fabulous.

@@groundpenguinproductions5912 And played a murderer in two episodes in Columbo, once on the original NBC run and again on the ABC run.
He turns 92 today. I've never seen a man of that age looking like 20 years younger. The guy walks, speaks, appears like a 70 year old man. Unbelievable!!!
You can tell this is old because William Shatner is actually running.
Really well done. Seamless cut and perfect audio to video sync. Very professional
The 60's 70's 80's were the best shows every made and even today they are the best. There a few show today I watch that are good but not many.

I woulda thought this was a real opening to an ep of the show.

Very well done! Good Job!
Theme song awesomeness.
If they remade TJ Hooker today...it would be an all PC cast..
Rick Martinez -Plodding Zombie Productions truth
If it was made in the UK, it would definitely be PC's :)
They're there already, they've got a woman, they've got a guy who's surname begins with a Z and even a foreigner.

Not me, I’m working on an 80s style cop show
William Shatner was great in this show too!!!!!!!!!!!
hell yea
Anything he touches is magic
Also, he was certainly Capt./Admiral James T. Kirk 👍
True...but then he is great in everything he's ever been in.
Yes, Shatner was sure great in this. There are a lot more, strings to his acting bow that people imagine.

Uh, wrong Heather. Heather Locklear. Heather Thomas was on The Fall Guy.
This is very well made.

Estilo de unidad especial
i love the music but i made up lyrics of my own it soundslike this, hooker saves the day put the krooks away, with his big gun and the young one,. hooker saves the day. i told my mother in law now she sings it every day.
Tiberius James Hooker :)
LCPD ? GTA IV ? What city it is ?
when Heather throws he police stick, hits the criminals leg and he falls over, is that realistic?
+fahd s no, but it's a cop show - all the explosions aren't realistic either
+fahd s Back in the old days Yes Police would train to throw these sticks they called them Knight Stick. +manofsan who cares. when is TV ever "realistic". I still take these shows over those fake as hell reality crap that has puked all over TV.
The night stick is a PR 24. Obviously the police do not fire warning shots anymore. What goes up, must come down.
Any intro with Heather Locklear in a bikini is good
He shot a cruiser ???? LOL
The Cruiser blew up in another show
+c hris smith come on, one shot is nighttime, the other shot is daytime - it's sewn together as a montage
Heather Locklear was Hot!!!
😍👍
