I loved this show when I was a kid. It came out around the same time I first got interested in electronic music and bought my first synthesizer, a Korg Poly 800. Soundtracks like Airwolf, Street Hawk and anything by Tangerine Dream were a huge influence.
Recently watched all four seasons again and got inspired to try covering the entire extended theme, which I always wanted to do but could never do with a Poly 800 back then.
Plus I finally got around to learning Propellerhead Reason's sequencer, so I figured what better way to cover a helicopter tune than with something called "Propellerhead." :-P
The video clip is just something quick I hacked together... made up of action scenes from several episodes making it look like 4 or 5 bad guys ganging up on the Lady, only for her to mop the floor with them at the end.

well actually, she is not so beautiful anymore, as some time ago she was "de-milled" of her weapons systems and sold to a medevac company. on a mission in a stormy/foggy night...the pilots who apparently were no stringfellow hawk, crashed her into a mountain. all dead A/W destroyed. rescue mission ....failed.

Air wolf (1984), is still watched by the fans after about 36 years . Theme music is excellent and thrills action and momentum. Superb TV show.
In my opinion. One of the best shows from the 80's that could have lasted longer if Jan Michael Vincent did not have too many personal issues.

Man, all these themes from the 80s rock ( Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Airwolf, Top Gun ). Way better than this crap we have nowadays.

I always saw this show as the Knight Rider of the sky.
Just today I had the same thought while watching those high-caliber rounds bounce off without a scratch. You're right, Airwolf was pretty much the KITT of aircraft. Only difference being KITT had no "active" weapons, except for that laser, but that was rarely used.

john doe On the plus side- being in the future- you could fill your whole house with 80's goods from a thrift shop for a few thousand dollars, then spend all your time indoors watching VHS tapes of your favorite shows. In that sense, you can accurately recreate a genuine 1980's hermit experience.

Difficult to describe how excited I used to be As a little boy in the mid 80s watching this. Airwolf along with the A-Team and knight rider was the greatest shit I’ve ever seen back then.. it was a glorious time to be a little kid!

This is an amazing remake of the Airwolf theme. I love the key changes, the percussion, the inclusion of both bridge sections, and the inclusion of the taking off and speed boost sound effects. Just wonderful. Such amazing work.😁💖🤘🤘👍👍

Crying?! Why?! I grew up in the 80’s. We certainly didn’t cry about things we were passionate about. We just enjoyed them for what they were and let it (the series) come to its natural conclusion.

I watched Airwolf when I was younger. Now I fly around in a helicopter and blow a lot of things up. I probably wouldn't do this if it wasn't for the influence of this show. Or Grand Theft Auto. It enables me.
Not really. I vote democrat, and happen to love this show. In fact, life would be much easier for us (and hell for terrorists) if each city had an attack helicopter hidden 'in sheep's clothing' as a media helicopter.

Loved the show so much, even have an RC Helicopter of "The Lady"... hands down my fav. BTW, you're correct, it was a Bell 222B, and the closest thing Bell made after was the Bell 430. Would love to see a Movie come out with the 430, and perhaps an upgrade to the "Lady". Wonder where Jan Michael Vincent is now, too bad about what happened to him, and definately RIP Earnest. We will all miss you...

Oh my God I can’t believe I’m watching this right now. Are used to watch this when I was a kid and when the helicopter was flying around in the theme song was playing I would run around the couches with my arms apart.
I bought my son A toy helicopter and it brought memory so I looked up the air Wolf video. I was looking for one in particular where I remember them making a duplicate of air Wolf but in red.
But for some reason I remember the top of it being red in the bottom being white or black and when I search all I find is red on the bottom and black on the top.
But damn I miss the show.
It's a shame how the main character despite leading a great acting life was plagued by his addiction to hard drugs (cocaine) costing his beautiful life

Wait the helicopters on drugs? I always felt the helicopter was the main actor on this show. I never bothered learning any of the characters names or paid any attention to what they said.
