Thanks Mr Seymour for showing the great Joe "Merle" Edwards & for keeping the Merle style guitar music alive for all of us new players. In 1964 I met a 16 year old guitar player named Joe Edwards in Niagara Falls, NY. Any connection?

Is this the same Joe Edwards that did some travelling with Martha Carson back in the Mid 1950s? I drove all the way to Sunset Park in PA just to hear them. At that time Sunset Park was a great place to go but it was about 150 miles away. I went up there twice more, once again in 1956 to see Hank Thompson and again in l968 to see Merle Travis. Now you know what kind of guitar I like.
