RIP Bobbie, You were a Good Ol Boy, ....><>
Beautiful. I just added this piece to my Pedal Steel playlist.
Great song and beautiful melody. I've heard it hundreds of times by various steel players and play it myself. But it's not the only great steel song. I love so many from jazz to clean country. Pedal steel is just beautiful and I love playing it.
Bobbe was a real fine person and my friend, a he was one the Best Steel Player l ever met, and we all Steel Drivers Miss Him.
I met his sister today
Thank you, 👍
Thank you Mr. Hempker, this is such valuable information on playing PSG.
Pearls before swine! What a master... RIP.
There are 4 caps in the Fender tone stack alone???? OMG 12SL7s, 12SN7s and 1625s are kick-@$$ for my steel. Country - Tele work the Peavey Classic 50 4x10 or Vox AC-15/30 does quite well. For hard rock/metal, nothing but Marshall for me! Mustard or SoZo caps anywhere a cap is in the signal path..... AND NO SAND!.

R.I.P. Bobby, you gave us so much.
The good stuff
Just found this one, what a great sound and so clean.
This is really sweet. Love the tone. What is the name of the first number?
if anyone has his “instant c6” videotape upload it plz… i miss it a lot
Man, I feel privileged just to have met these two. Rest in Peace Bobbe Seymour and Thom Bresh.
This tune is "Sentimental Journey". An American Jazz Standard.
Such an absolute TREASURE! The first song is entitled "Once in a While". There is a nice version on UA-cam of Nat King Cole singing it. It's an American Jazz Standard written in 1937 by Michael Edwards and lyricist Bud Green. The second song is entitled Harbor Lights, and they mention it in the video. It's a popular Hawaiian tune, also written in 1937 by non-Hawaiians Hugh Williams and lyricist Jimmy Kennedy.
Song title is "Take These Chains from my Heart", Hank Williams.
oh my gosh. that sound they get together...
This song is called "Cold, Cold Heart" for anybody who may stumble upon this video in the future.
Oh my gosh. This tugs at the soul.
This is a treasure. Thank you for keeping this video up for posterity despite the low visibility.
These are the best lessons for me.Straight to the point. Thank you Mr.Seymour.
Beautiful harmonic chimes ringing out of that GFI. Thank you for sharing this video, Bob !!
Who else was smiling the whole time he played the chimes :)
I hope these guys are still alive
Bobby Seymour had always been a premier steel player Its 2022 and people are still learning how to play like him

Awesome guys! Very tasteful and smooth. I love my frying pan; it's become a mainstay in my shows. Here is a video with my old Rick; the frying pan comes out around 2:36 if you want to skip ahead... ua-cam.com/video/Ix_y4_3anBY/v-deo.html
Beautiful .like magic!

Out Standing.
Hey what’s on your middle finger?
It's just really long :)
That's a really good lesson. It gave me new ideas.
They still make these new versions over in Burbank ?
Thanks for sharing this song. I often wondered how to play the steel.
nice.
👍👌 R I P BOBBE
He was a superb player and musician who knew the instrument back to front.
We corresponded for a while, because he was an accessible genius on the PSG. He could pick on it finger style and he could produce the most delicious unexpected sounds on it Mr Seymour knew his instrument, amplifiers and accessories upside down and back to front; and he could explain everything he knew, something he loved doing.
What a gorgeous sounding amp. Nice playing too.
Wow it sounds like a Pedal Steel Jazz Guitar cause it's Jazzy.
Miss you bobbe
Cool licks. Bobby was a great player.
