      @jacobpaint 8 місяців тому +23

      @@JeffPenaify only if he believed his larger size was in itself enough to get an easy win. If the big guy was considered to be the favourite for an easy win but had said preflight that he expected it to be a tough match and he knew his size wouldn't be a decisive advantage, then you might say he was very humble. If he then lost it would be absurd to say that he was humbled because he had already shown that he was humble.
      I don't know what he said preflight or what spectators expected of the fight but his prematch comments were very humble and respectful of his opponents skill. I see no evidence that he was arrogant even in that showy way that fighters do to promote a fight.

    The big guy is actually pretty technically skilled. He was very aware of how dangerous and fast Might Mouse is and used his big frame and size to try to zone out. Any average big guy would close the distance and try to maul but he knew how dangerous it would be if they were in close range. When they finally got on the ground the big guy did a decent job at framing and stopping DJ's advances but he was just too freaking fast with the transitions and ultimately won the match.
    It may have looked easy but both gave it their all (technique-wise) Shout out to the big guy for trying against one of the greatest martial artists in the world.

    He's a big guy, but when did 6'3" become "giant?" And Mighty Mouse is mad good, any intermediate would struggle against a Pro like him, regardless of his size.

      Not the same skill level. It’s like comparing Novak Djokovic to #250 of the ATP-list. Even at the top (especially!) there’s a LOT of skill difference. DJ isn’t goat for nothing….

    Nothing to see here but a sportsmanly match between two brown belts. A great example of how you don't meet assholes in jiu-jitsu with macho attitude man, everyone on that mat has had their ass kicked by a little dude enough times to show some humility and not disrespect their opponent. Props to both competitiors here
