Wow too bad that it's been left to rot away like that :( such a beautiful place with all the big trees around ..nice and private and surrounded by nature ,it is a dream property and home back in its days :) Thanks bros :)
This is amazing! We just don't have this type of stuff here in the states. I love watching these and imagining what they would have been like in their hay day.
Viki Banaszak sure we do look up dundas castle Roscoe ny this is in my home town in the middle of the Catskills my grandfather helped build in in the early 1900’s
how how sad to see such a once beautiful building destroyed. As you went through I tried to imagine what all went on in that day, All the servents and balls etc. I wish instead of taking these buildings down I wish they would restore them for history, Thanks again for brave boys like you showing us your videos.
It's such a shame to see these really old castles and buildings fall into disrepair. However it would cost millions of £ or $ to renovate, so I can understand the owners walking away from their money pits. However here in the UK we have certain trusts that take over these types of buildings and renovate and open them up to the public who can visit for a few £'s. Certainly in Scotland where I live there are many Castles and exquisite gardens that our National Trust for Scotland takes care of, sometimes with the owners still in residence in small part of their castle, while the rest is accessible to the public usually from March until October. Lots have also tea/coffee shops, with gift shops also many offer simple lunches. Many here enjoy making it a day outing visiting their local or further away heritage. It also encourages tourists, which helps to boost the local community . I don't know if other places in Europe do similar things? apart from the obvious Versailles in Paris and others of this ilk. I admire these young guys for what they do, but as an adult I'd worry about their safety! there is a very real danger of floors/stairs collapsing. The injuries could be a lot more severe than a broken leg - like death! if some of these walls or floors gave way. At the very least they should wear a safety hat, they are made compulsory on building sites for a reason and it isn't a fashion statement.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful and historic places in your country. The architecture is amazing! I know places like this deteriorate when they are abandoned, but I don't understand how anyone can vandalize them. So sad. Just be careful when you are exploring.
Oh my God, that was beautiful! But it looks dangerous with the floors collapsing you kids need to be very careful. Once again a privilege to see something up close that I would never have a chance to see. It sets your imagination flying thinking of the everyday activities of the people who once lived there. Thank you so much.
I really enjoyed another perspective on Chateau Miranda, aka Miranda Castle, aka Chateau de Noisy. I really appreciate your respectful narration. You've got a new subscriber here.
The name of the castle was Chateau Miranda. It was later nicknamed Chateau de Noisy when it was used as an orphanage and sanatorium for children. You can Google either name and get a lot of history about the place.

My Brother started smoking when he was 12 years old. He died at 52 from cancer. Had part of his cancer ridden tongue and mouth cut out. Had a tracheotomy in his throat. Had to be fed through a tube in his stomach. Untold suffering that COULD HAVE been prevented had he never took up smoking. Please, please don't smoke.

Bros Of Decay love you guys have your brother read my comment on smoking remember the XRays of the guys lungs we saw in the abandoned family house so sad ! it's so hard to stop once you start !
I so enjoy watching your videos, but sometimes they make me sad such as this one does. This castle was once a structure of great strength and beauty, but man and nature has destroyed all of it original beauty, but it still shows there was strength. Wish I could have the money to replace some of its grandeur. Thanks again for the walk down memory lane!!!
The Castle was beautiful but the time take the magnificent. Now we are need use the imagination to see the splendor in the place. Thanks for sharing Lesley and Jordy 😍👍😘
Whatever happened to anybody in the Liederkerke-Beaufort bloodline & why wouldn't they have wanted this most gorgeous piece of family history? I have to Google that, it's bugging me now. Lol!
I read an article that gave the history of the family. They were forced to flee France during the revolution. They owned an ancient castle and estate there. It also said that they own the château on the other side of the valley. It's visible in many of the videos of this château. Just look in the distance when explorers are filming from the clock tower. It's a smaller castle (comparatively). It really is sad that they lacked the desire or funds (or both) to save Château Miranda. Even though she was very young by comparison to many other great houses and castles, there was still a lot of history that took place during her short life - history that is now lost forever. :-(
Count Liederkerke-Beaufort, raised the rent on the building after his father passed away causing the school / camp whatever that was inhibiting it to move out because of the cost to maintain the place. After that there was some talk about turning it into a hotel but that didn't happen, not sure why but it may have had something to do with the count not wanting to sell but instead lease for a very long time. Anyway not too long after the place was abandon their was a fire, It was said that some hunters tried to turn on the heat. But Really in an empty building why would the heat be operational? ( I think insurance) However, their was a large section of roof damaged at least and the count not caring about the place didn't even buy a tarp. Later He took out the fire place's among other things and used them to restore the much smaller and older Veves, which had been his family's ancestors home, as well as some other castle he owns, and sold some of the flooring to a company that makes drums. After that he had guards to keep uben xer's out but he wasn't very bright just an ass hole. Anyway the count sold everything he could, and even though he was told to stop demolishing but he ignored it, and tore it down anyway. Now I'm not sure what his issue was if it was because the place was occupied by German solders for a short time during WWII, or if He was trying to hide something or what. There were several offers made by diffrent people and by the city of Celles (Not sure of spelling) The city it's closest to, but he didn't want to sell. Now I've never been to Belgium or out of the USA. for that matter but their used to be several sights about Save Miranda on the internet where I got my information.
The other castle is called Veves and the count took some of the interior from Miranda to restore it. He liked the Mid evil fortress castle better, and it was the oldest of the two, so it's now a venue I think not sure if it's a hotel but I don't think so. it has it's own Face Book page.
I really enjoy looking at the places you guys go. Thanks for sharing your adventures with those of us who live where things like this don't exist. Take very good care when exploring them, as they look very fragile in places.
Those Pillars and ornate carvings ... I wish you went slower over them the architecture is outstanding. Ya stop smoking cuz the black mold is killin' ya!
Yea most of the time i don't realy now the history of the places but i looked it up for you my friend :) : During the French revolution the Count Liedekerke-Beaufort and his family, who we very much involved in Belgian politics, fled their home, Château de Vêves, to a secluded farm in the forest on the outskirts of the village in 1792. Upon the ending of the revolution, the English architect Edward Milner, was commissioned in 1866 by the Liedekerke-Beaufort family to design and build a castle on the land. Château de Noisy was to be built with many towers, conical roofs, and other Neo-Gothic details, with approximately 500 windows. Milner did not get to finish the castle as he died before the building was completed. The building was continued by the French architect Pelchner, extending the Château largely. The clocktower was finished in 1903 and is 183 feet tall, and 1907 saw the completion of building activity. Initially Chateau Miranda, boasting beautifully landscaped gardens, served the family Liedekerke de Beaufort as a summer residence. During the Ardennen offensive in World War II, the château was briefly occupied by German troops. During the Battle of the Bulge, there was also fighting on the property. source : www.davidbakerphotography.com/projects/residential/the-history-of-chateau-de-noisy-chateau-miranda-belgium Thank you for watching you are awesome ruudy :D
A beautiful and well persevered building does not evoke the intense sadness that the poetry of entropy inflicts upon the soul. Even a well acted and directed movie can not convey the futility of life like the ruination of grandeur.
I can determine that it's a Belgian castle thanks to the Flemish stepped gable. This feature is exclusively used in Flemish Belgian and Dutch architecture, it's a good indicator... 4:02 for a good view. The rest is typical of the french Renaissance style. 8:03 If I had to demolish, I would have kept at least these three elements standing, to indicate that a castle once stand here. I hate developers who give no shit about integrating with flair a new estate, amidst beautiful sceneries...
Very nice Video, Keep up the good work. And the small room at 6:20 was a storage room of the kitchen, I think. And we didn't found the bathroom with double bath in our visit :-(
You are truly the King's of abandoned places. I would love to go there and see some of these places in real time. Send me a ticket. Love you much!!! Keep 'em coming. Thank you for the adventures!
Life is short. The people who built this probably thought they had a long time to enjoy it, but look at it now. QUIT SMOKING... life is too short, I don't want you decaying before your time! I quit, over 25 years ago, so you can too! It really only takes a few weeks to get over the cravings while your brain adjusts.
I'm like binge watching your videos now.. you're the best mannered, polite & respectable young men. Thank you for that. I would be embarrassed to watch these with my son or granddaughters if the F-word was said all time. I'd turn it off & find something else. that was very beautiful thank u for exploring that one in particular my favorite by far. I always wondered what an old castle would look like from the inside. you guys are great!
Amazing, thanks for these beautiful and interesting videos! Love them! Make more! Will ensure I share them around so you get more viewers! Come to Ireland and explore old buildings here too!
No i drove there and checked it but they are still in use :( Thanks for watching :) And my brother is quiting at the moment :) Ps i am the one who doesn't smoke :D (lesley)
That's why you have the very large over sized ,side by side bath tubs. Bathing two children at a time. The place was impossible to heat, with those high ceilings.
The up keep would have been difficult to maintain on such a large structure. Tuck pointing, chimney repairs, glazing windows, weather proofing against harsh winter winds, heating systems, etc. Nice to dream of what it might have looked like. But not practical in today's world.
Well I and may others can not stand the smell of people who smoke. It stinks!!! I grew up around plenty of smokers all different kinds and I have to agree with the people like me... it stinks!! I don't understand why people choose to smoke when it smells so bad and kills you.
Wow what a shame that beautiful castle just sits there untouched and unloved when it could of been restored and turned into something remarkable. I enjoyed this video ..thank you for sharing.
I love when you did "Oh Romeo, Romeo" from the balcony. I was inside a house that had one of those several years ago. I did the exact same thing! I love you guys.

Have you guys ever had any paranormal experinces exploring any of these builtings?
I love the way you are exploring these former glorious spaces. They are magnificent. So sad they are passing into dreams.
C'est un château belge en Wallonie, il est maintenant détruit tout à fait
This is probably my favorite of all the videos you've done. Thanks so much. I love watching you explore!
Very nice Video, Keep up the good work. And the small room at 6:20 was a storage room of the kitchen, I think.
And we didn't found the bathroom with double bath in our visit :-(
Yea the bathroom was in the other part of the builing you needed to get up a spiral staircase
You are truly the King's of abandoned places. I would love to go there and see some of these places in real time. Send me a ticket. Love you much!!! Keep 'em coming. Thank you for the adventures!
Hey Amber thanks for the nice words you are invited over to belgium !
Hey roy, Yes indeed you are right and my brother has stopped ;) Thanks for watching
Awesome! He can do it! I did. I saved the money I used to spend on smokes for a computer, that helped too. ;)
Good!
Love your videos. You take time and show the real history of the place and the people who lived there
it was school for railway worker kids in 1950ties i think i read it somewhere :)
So nice to see all these beautiful castles and buildings!
You have guts climbing the staircases and standing on balcony....lol
I cry seeing this magnificent home crumbling.you can bet it had some wonderful times in its prime
This place is pretty dangerous.
Not any more. It was torn down last November.
So sad - such a beautiful piece of history.
I'm like binge watching your videos now.. you're the best mannered, polite & respectable young men. Thank you for that. I would be embarrassed to watch these with my son or granddaughters if the F-word was said all time. I'd turn it off & find something else. I don't care what language other people use,but I can control what comes into my house. You boys were raised right.
its so sad to see such amazing places just decaying away, the work that went into it all lost ....they dont build them this way anymore, great video.........and yes lol, smoking kills stop it ...lol
hey ruth you are right but the place is being demolised at the moment witch i very sad :'( Thanks for watching !
that was very beautiful thank u for exploring that one in particular my favorite by far. I always wondered what an old castle would look like from the inside. you guys are great!
Thanks Virginia :)
You're too young to smoke. I quit after 41 years. Don't get into it. Great videos guys.

Amazing, thanks for these beautiful and interesting videos! Love them! Make more! Will ensure I share them around so you get more viewers! Come to Ireland and explore old buildings here too!
stop smoking Yuri! from Houston Texas USA.
Great filming, took my breath away. Thank you for sharing and please be careful, exploring old places is so dangerous.
Apart from this castle, the other ones are abandoned too?
Edit: plz stop smoking
No i drove there and checked it but they are still in use :( Thanks for watching :) And my brother is quiting at the moment :) Ps i am the one who doesn't smoke :D (lesley)
Well, its cool anyway.
I am glad that your brother is quitting.
Its amazing how families abandone place like this...
Yea indeed but it was a summer camp for little girls when it was still in use :)
When he talks about the people who lived there or may have lived there you can almost see it beautiful again.
Smoking is not cool!! Not only does it slowly kill you, but it smells horrible!!!!
Mizvy Morgart some can smell pretty good (I don't smoke) but from being round plenty you get different smells lol
Well I and may others can not stand the smell of people who smoke. It stinks!!! I grew up around plenty of smokers all different kinds and I have to agree with the people like me... it stinks!! I don't understand why people choose to smoke when it smells so bad and kills you.
Beautiful X Thankyou for taking me on that journey loved it. Keep exploring, look forward to watching more xo
I love that you slowed down and zoomed in so we could see this Amazing site also.. TFS...
:) Thank you alot it was an amazing castle !
Wow what a shame that beautiful castle just sits there untouched and unloved when it could of been restored and turned into something remarkable. I enjoyed this video ..thank you for sharing.
Love the beautiful old castle, thank you so much.
I love when you did "Oh Romeo, Romeo" from the balcony. I was inside a house that had one of those several years ago. I did the exact same thing! I love you guys.
I really loved seeing this castle! probably the only time I will get to see one awesome video!!
