I noticed that someone here would want to know more about this beautiful place. I made my research and I think I'm pretty sure to know where is this place is. I also found some information that someone might find interesting. I will not reveal where this place is located but I'll give you some indications: it's not far from Turin, in the Piemonte region of Italy. The palace was originally built as a castle in the XVII century and was later modified and restored as a villa in the XIX century. The building, the entire household (of 1.000 square meters) and the 70.000 square meters park are on sale at the time I am writing this comment. The place is registered as a "luxury and historic" asset in the Italian register of the real estate assets, so obtaining permits for restoring it might be a nightmare and it would cost a fortune. It really is a shame, but these things may happen: families' richness may fall, and the cost of the mainteinance of a place like this (as well as the taxes) is extremely high. Anyways, if a real estate investment fund acquired this and made this into an hotel, it would make a great service to the history and the cultural heritage of my beautiful country.
I’ve been researching property purchases in Italy. I have been told property tax can fluctuate wildly. Say one year it could be 3% while another year it could be 40%. Have you experienced this? As far as this property, how much $ are they asking?
@@tedcarl5382 property taxes generally depend on a number of factors: category of the property (e.g. it might be listed as commercial or residential and in either cases you have sub categories which may affect the property tax), municipality where the property is located (some have higher taxes than others), number of properties owned and other issues. It is true that if one of the regulations affecting the calculation of the taxes changes you might have some fluctuation, but I'd not say that there is much of a variation from year to year. In any case, before purchasing a property in Italy I would strongly suggest to approach a good notary public and/or tax consultant beforehead.

Yeah. I love those old dumb waiters, they have them a lot in old Civil War houses as well. I knew someone who had an old dumb waiter in their house and on the property a “ summer kitchen “ .. cool stuff .
Ian McMurtrie The term 'dumbwaiter' came to be as the lift was first used in large houses that had their kitchens and household staff in the basements or the ‘servants quarters’. Lights shining down on all the guests women in beautiful gowns , tall handsome men in their tux taking a lady on his arm making their way to the dance floor for a waltz around the room. I bet that was THE place to be once upon a time. AWESOME place as usual, you guys never disappoint me. Keep up the great work, stay safe and God bless you all 😍😍😘😘
Kinda gives you that fairytale vibe in Cinderella animation. going to the Ball all prim proper suited booted lads, with beautiful women suitors. Then that song "so this is love" playing in the background as the Prince and his girl dance.
So nice villa! It used to have everything. Elevators, two kitchens, car entrance at the basement, an incredible view through it's beautiful windows... and wonderful marbles covering walls ald columns... Such a pitty this is in such a vanish situation... Let's hope it can be sold soon and be restored as it deserves. Thanks for the filming!
Renaissance can refer to a time period, but also an architectural style. In my city the most famous private "villa" is now a museum. It was built with oil money in 1930's and is classic Renaissance style. So you see, in my example Renaissance refers to style, not time period. : ) Lucky for us, someone (the top pinned comment) researched the time period of this beauty, and learned it was constructed in the 17th Century as a castle, then later modified and restored in Classic Renaissance style during the 19th century. She is a beauty isn't she? : )

You have an educated yet sentimental viewpoint, showing conciousness and respect of the intimacy of a family environment here in this palace. The music enhances this effect. And you choose the most fantastic locations that showcase the the beauty of European life through the ages, in the leavings of daily family life. Thank you, from this American, for your work! It is wonderful.
Just magnificent! I cant imagine how many artists that came from who knows where and how many years it took them to design and paint this palace alone.
Thank you for another adventure thru history and being such a great narrator for you always do your trips justice and I feel that I had just walked thru someone's home with you.
Thank you again!
Beautiful! I wish I had millions and millions to threw around and I would remodel that place.
Why would you not choose to feed and house the starving?
I just noticed in order to change my 👎 I have to give a 👍 😂

Wonderful explanations and amazing appreciation for detail! Thank you for uploading!
Thank you Mary it is my pleasure!
Proof that being the richest person in the graveyard doesn’t get you much
so good to see an "abandoned" channel where he actually knows what he's talking about.
well done!!
You forgot to go back a film the chapel.
Another great video, thank you
Yup. I was about to say same.
Me too!
I know I wished they would have. Shoot 😣
I was thinking the same thing.
Would’ve been nice to see it . Maybe the time got the better of them and they didn’t want to set off the neighbors dogs .
thank you for this treasure...so beautiful...and how lucky to have UA-cam videos and for you to let us glimpse this magnificent building before it's gone.
Wow! Absolutely gorgeous!!
No doubt an Ancient beauty. A place of fairytale like dreams. If I had more means I would purchase the castle and acres of land surrounding it. Such a beautiful place. The music playing also help with feeling the energy of this ancient art. Now a ruin... 😟😓
What a waste. Some investor should restore it into a 5 star boutique hotel.
exactly 😒
Nice to see my summer villa is still in decent shape. Please feed the cat and stick some beer in the fridge. I'll be back in 2 weeks! :-) NICE PLACE!
Hi honey! Will do! I'll have dinner in the oven too!
Lily She gets it! ;-)
I wil be waiting by the pool 👙 with a big ice cold pitcher of Limoncello! 🍻 Slip into your trunks and join me when you get home and we can watch the sunset over dinner. 🌅 😘
ha ha !
Hi Lesley, the ceilings & walls are so beautiful, its a shame it can`t be restored! The basement is gorgeous!! Thanks so much for this adventure!!
wooww it's so nice and amazing castle, thanks for sharing,💕💕💕
This was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!! I could a huge ball taking place and a young woman in a long beautiful ball gown coming down that stairway.
So sad to see such a magnificent piece of architecture go to waste.
Awesome so nice thanks😊
Awesome find and awesome beautiful place... Thank you for your explore..👍👍🇲🇨
1:51 Already I can see it’s so beautiful and so much detail!🥰

Stunning detail, almost like a dream. Would have liked to have been there when everything was new. Thank you Lesley and William.
The narrator, his voice so soothing over the beautiful piano while magnificent views of the castle emerge. Wonderful video, great narration

Ahhh the good old days!😘 gorgeous!😄
We didnt get to see the chapel?? Beautifully designed. Thanks. I wish we could have seen close ups of the carvings on the wall.
If I win the lottery, I would buy this place and completely renovate it. Then live in a 100 s.f. room and watch t.v. with my dog..😁
WOULD YA??
Can I visit?!
Can i be your dog?

So nice villa! It used to have everything. Elevators, two kitchens, car entrance at the basement, an incredible view through it's beautiful windows... and wonderful marbles covering walls ald columns...
Such a pitty this is in such a vanish situation...

3:08 Renaissance (1400's-1600's), or 18th century (1700's), or 1800's - which is it?
I noticed that too and am wondering.
@@2005deluxe When i watch structure videos like this I cringe at their narratives, then the comments are worse . You are all behind, Martin Liedtke, UAP, Wise Up, Jon Levi, Static in the Attic. Catch up and wake up. There is a reason why the door ways are 12ft easy and so much more.
all these explorer guys talk out their asses, none of them really know anything
Absolutely splendid wonderful place. You can't find the words. I love it.
Couldn't agree more!
