Me too. Born and raised here. After 72 years, I can't imagine moving to a different state. I just wish I didn't have to move to where the few jobs were 30 years ago. Portland. 😡
@@bwellman1953 Born and raised here as well. Love it! Living in Southern Oregon. There are jobs here, but he rents are high, gas and food is a bit spendy. Still, it is Home! Best wishes to you.
My first exposure to steam was at the Texas State Railroad and learned quite a bit about railroading and have a lot of wonderful memories of my time spent there. My experience was enough that I scored so far above everyone that the CSX instructor pulled me out of class on test day and offered me a job on spot but couldn’t take it as I was still active duty at the time. Steam rules.
There's another one of these at 19 Acres Cider in Scholles Oregon. They also have one of the most impressive indoor model train setups I have ever seen.
I’ve never been to the west coast but you better believe i will visit here. Gotta be the most relaxing fun ride. Great job and amazing idea to build all these. 👍🏼 well done.
When I was in my 30s & 40s, I built a "doll house" out of an apple tree trunk that had grown in my yard as a kid. The house was for a miniature Steiff teddy bear. It started as "just" the house, but ballooned into a village (in my head!). I had an N Gauge train that ran around the house and tunneled under the outhouse/bathroom. Sadly, I never got to finish it because an A-hole decided to throw it out. It was in his way, he said. But it wasn't, at all. :( edit: if anyone knows of a hollow apple tree that needs to come down, let me know! At 74, the dream is still alive!
Thank you all..going g to put this on my bucket list. Please keep it up. Will be telling family and coworkers about this Happy holidays and super great 2025 and many years Lonnie Hubbard oregon
Would it be too much trouble to actually mention in the video where in Oregon this is located? Obviously somewhere easy of the Cascades because of the Ponderosa Pines, but that’s over 2/3rds of the state.
That is so cool! I've driven by this place so many times and never knew it was there.
Love Oregon!

I remember working here with my Grandpa before he passed. Makes me think back watching this video. He'd be happy to see this video.
