They are all good but the POWER Simone has is right now untouchable she is a small ball of pure muscle. Hope she will hang in there as long as it’s safe for her to do so. Enjoying the spot she is in she’s no doubt the best at this point in History and will hold that spot until someone can upstage her. She’ll forever be on the highly ranked scale. Like others before her. As in any sport records can be broken. But she’s never going to fade away only an elite few will not be forgotten. She’s so fun to watch.
SIMONE placed 1st in all routines, she's really gearing up and in really the best shape (not the body but the quality of her routines) I've ever seen her. And I am so so so glad to see SUNI LEE. The epitome of RESILIENCE and I hope she could make it back on the team again. Rooting for JORDAN, KAYLA & SKYE too.

I absolutely love Tiana’s mindset. Her gymnastics is so consistent and she knows that there is so much talent trying to make the Olympics right now. It’s her dream to one day make the team, but she’s just out there having the time of her life and seeing where it takes her. That mindset is going to take her places. I can 100% see her as an alternate this year. And I can see her on the 2028 Olympic Team for sure. Her floor routine is my favorite of all of the gymnasts.
And that’s why they’re worth so much. Squat turns are very difficult and should be rated high, but the gymnast should also be deducted heavily if the turn is off balance with their arms flailing all over the place
God, Skye and Kayla coming back this strong is really making this difficult. I really thought the team was going to be: Simone, Shilese, Suni, Jade, Jordan If Kayla and Skye remain this consistent, it might make more sense to bring them over Jade and Jordan. If Jade brings back her Amanar and her full floor difficulty, and Jordan goes back to her normal super consistent self, this is going to be a fight til the end lol.

Loving the Americans this year! It doesn't feel like a bunch of carbon copies, trying to us Simon's playbook and it really not working for them. There is SO much individuality, so many people stepping into their own style and into their own strengths. Skye Blakely on beam? Dream weaver! Tiana Sumanasakera? She's giving Dutch choreagraphy with actual tumbling passes! Leanne wong of course is gorg. I am excited for the first time in a long time about where gymnastics is going!
I’m on the line about Skye to be honest. She’s a fabulous performer BUT the inconsistency makes it hard to see her there. Feels like the selection committee is wanting solid and consistent AA’ers. Innocent question (don't come for me, Simone Biles fans). Did she get full points for her various in-air splits in this competition? I thought they had to be 180 degrees, and it honestly looks like her legs muscles won't let her do that without some momentum (her in-air splits looked better on the floor with a running start). Obviously, building up her leg muscles was the right choice for her kind of gymnastics, I'm just wondering whether she kept those in her routine because she's getting the points, or whether they're compulsory?
All bars routines were well over scored. The US have very heavy routines, they look laborious, poor handstands, flat feet, legs apart, really messy bar routines.
I think the US selection committee's biggest problem is .... that we don't NEED 5? We barely need 4. We'd be heavily favored with THREE. Simone, Shilese and Skye (or any of the next group as a 3rd, really) would be an absolute lock for a medal, and favored for gold. Suni and Kayla could be bench warmers, with 2 of Leanne/Jordan/Jade as alternates. Who needs specialists when we've got the S List. (Simone, Shilese, Skye, Suni)

Floor routines are so dang harshly scored this quad. I barely saw any flaws in Leanne’s routine and yet she lost 1,9 points in execution On the other hand the judges are super lenient on bars. Visible error after visible error and yet the score doesn’t reflect it
Different judging panel. But the bars judges were VERY lenient with everyone. The US is pretty weak on bars overall. Suni and Shilese are really the only ones with a shot at medaling on that event internationally.
About now is when I take at least a point off for most routines simply due to over scoring. Our ladies really need to step up and work harder on consistency and what they call dance elements nowadays. We’ve got big skills but lose to much with the execution dipping so low.
Floor is the lowest scoring event internationally for a reason. And then Team USA keeps destroying their own floor scores by rewarding nonsense domestically, on top of not taking deductions that international judges will take. It's like they don't learn from Tokyo when the Olympic judges reverse the domestic rank order except top 1 and 2... 😂 8.1 E is the top execution score at Euros so Leanne's score is international, but many routines are gifted AT LEAST 0.5.
Beam is my favorite, but my goodness its scary. The precision and coordination it takes is insane. Floor is fun, and you can really "go for it," but i always felt bad for the beam girlies, because the ones that excelled at it always seemed ro be pushed so hard. I obviously wasnt actually trained in Beam, but likely wouldve seriously injured myself or even d*ied if id attempted even some of the "easier" things my female peers did on it. Beautiful routines, but wtf? Lol

Skye has no triple connections, only double. Simone has 3 triple connections, I think, if you count the dismount. And her dismount has one skill before her dismount. Simone has two connected skills before her dismount.
X I hate to see the wolf turn. Just about all the girls perform it except Jade Carey. That's why I rather see her programs. I turn my head when one of the girls performs it. Seeing that ugly rocky move over, over, & over again.
I think Suni is more likely for the 5th spot when she’s doing a 6.7 D beam with a watered down dismount. Then if she upgrades her bars she’s capable of a 6.5-6.8 which she can score higher on both of those events over Simone. Even if she specialized on those events she’d contribute a ton to USA and potientally get an individual medal on bars/beam.
kayla and jordan/leanne won't happen, that's 2 all arounders and shilese and simone are also probably gonna do all around or atleast 3/4 events, 2 all arounders i dont think will be needed
I think Simone’s floor routine has the least amount of artistry in it, I’d like to see her use her face, that’s one of the only things she could overall improve on there!

That's...not how sports work. The other girls would beat Simone if they were anywhere near as good, but they aren't. It's dumb to expect the greatest gymnast of all time to quit just because her competition can't touch her. It's not her fault she's better.
I am sorry but Simone does not deserve to be first in every event. She made many little mistakes it’s her name that puts her there. This is just my opinion many other gymnasts did much better then her. I am tired of them scoring on your name instead of your talent.

kayla and jordan/leanne won't happen, that's 2 all arounders and shilese and simone are also probably gonna do all around or atleast 3/4 events, 2 all arounders i dont think will be needed

I think Simone’s floor routine has the least amount of artistry in it, I’d like to see her use her face, that’s one of the only things she could overall improve on there!
The Russian Gymnastics team Director made the same "critique." Nevertheless, her athleticism and talent trumps their sour grapes.

Facts. If she doesn’t upgrade vault, upgrade and score high on floor, and remain consistent on bars. I don’t see a need to bring her.

@@cjmomma3092 By that standard, they have no use for Jade, who is being outscored by a good DTY and isn't even top 3 on floor.
With that said, I don't think Jordan is going to make the team without some upgrades and some more consistency.
@@br0wnsug3h I don't envy the selection committee, to be honest. I don't see Jade making it. I actually don't even see Jade as an alternate given how she's been scored internationally this quad. I think Jordan has a better chance, but it's definitely not a lock, or even close to it.
Imagine your dream to be the in the Olympics and you get to that level but miss because Simone doesn’t know when she’s received enough gold medals to tell herself she’s the best. Yes we see you. You are the best. Step aside so some other girls can live their dreams too.

That's...not how sports work. The other girls would beat Simone if they were anywhere near as good, but they aren't. It's dumb to expect the greatest gymnast of all time to quit just because her competition can't touch her. It's not her fault she's better.
I am sorry but Simone does not deserve to be first in every event.
She made many little mistakes it’s her name that puts her there.
This is just my opinion many other gymnasts did much better then her.
I am tired of them scoring on your name instead of your talent.
