There is a nestle factory in my hometown. Whenever it would rain, the entire town would smell like a fresh cup of coffee. Other than that, nobody has anything nice to say about their presence.
Nestlé just failed to spend enough money to keep these things secret. Modern companies are much wiser, and have developed sophisticated ways to ensure you never, ever find out about what they're up to.

However the negatives are that a monopoly on idea's is very bad for actually use-ing the new technology, because of some suply and demand rule. "If price is lower when high suply and price is higher when low suply, why not just suply less and make more money for lower cost" (me, 2021) Many companies use this knowledge to artificially increase prices, which automatically makes the suply lower (just look at pharmaceutical companies)

Human Rights have never existed. They are a front for the gullible people who will never realize that power comes from violence, control, oversight, resource monitoring and staff commandeering exclusively.
What pisses me off is how they're almost impossible to escape buying from. Especially when you don't know exactly what brands are under them, and even if you do, they have a massive range on things most people buy constantly or need. Prime example is definitely water.
I Google every item and stick to those brands, you'll pay more until everyone else switches over. As a large group we could control the market if we stop the two face culture war in politics.

I have a side job checking groceries. It's scary how many food brands Nestle owns, I've lost count. They say about 90% of the products at your grocery store come from only 10 big conglomerates.
If you look at a grocery store, look how few aisles are actually food. Whole aisles are given to soda, chips, candy, processed mixes. Then there's the pet food, cleaning products, paper goods. You could probably fit the actual food into 1/10th of the space.
Nestle also is stealing water from California's major rivers and is one of the causes that are leading to drought. Not much coverage was put on the subject earlier this year.
As someone who lives in a huge agricultural county in California, fuck Nestlé for stealing our water. We're too damn poor to afford nice stuff and meanwhile we're having our water stolen and our county's probably gonna be an uninhabitable wasteland in about 20 years because of toxic waste in a lake in our county that's not getting new water and is drying up so the fumes will spread everywhere when it's all dried up
When I was in business school, some Nestle executives who were alumni came to promote Nestle (among other companies, it's like a cocktail party to meet students and hire them before they even graduate). I ended up meeting one of them and he went on about his salary and his job, then asked a friend and I if we had questions or would be interested to come to their offices for a meet&greet brunch type thing. I replied that I would never work for them because I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. I watched his face go from "charming" to "blank" and I left to get a drink. I still wonder how their employees can live with themselves.
If they’re low level corporate they’re probably too busy trying to pay off student debt, rather than thinking of the ethical dilemma of working for such a company, if they even bother to research.
Nestle is right up there on the Evil Corps list. We've been boycotting Nestle for close to 20 years. The real fun comes, trying to keep up with all of the acquisitions and umbrella purchases. They seem to gobble up great little companies.
what the fuck do you mean by "we've been boycotting nestle for close to 20 years"? all anyone has been doing in the last 20 or so years is sitting on their fat asses and consuming kitkats and other chocolates which are marketed and shipped by nestle anyway
This is Apple too. Defender of your privacy in the West, while a state puppet in the East. Corporations don't have morals, they have propaganda campaigns.
the problem is that it’s so difficult for customers to know the ethics behind each label, as much as i wouldn’t want to i fall into buying a product from nestle
Just stop buying shit with 10 meter long labels on it. A tomato doesn't grow with a label on it. Ethics is much less a concern if people would stop their addiction to these "foods" that these companies produced and have 90 percent of their diets based on actual foods grown by people that arent bending over backwards to obfuscate the origin of their products.
The other problem is that the more ethically produced products are typically much more expensive (dont rely on exploitative labour for example) - many poor people are forced into consuming products from 'bad' companies.
Remember kids: Nestle does no more evil than any other existing company - Nestle is just one of the very few companies that doesn't bother to budget for coverups.
@@toasteethetoaster5978 making it sweeter...no joking, its true water have kind of a savoury sweet flavor when you drink it with real thirst so, it makes sense.
WHOA, I legit ALWAYS wondered why I could drink so much "pure life" bottled water but not do the same with tap (I drink tap water 99% of the time and only bottled if I'm out and desperately thirsty)- I always thought it was a placebo effect but apparently not!
@@Neekachu11 I have the same issue with Evian whenever I drink it, I get more thirsty. I thought I was the only one. They definitely add flavour enhancer or some chemical shitstorm to this, now they’ll start adding even more Flouride & graphene oxide to the water. Just wait for it. Pure poison. Distilled with filters is the way to go
Yes and no. Because most mineralized water comes from distilled water, it has added salts and minerals, which is good, because we need electrolytes to stay hydrated. This, coupled with the fact that tap water has chloride to sanitize it, while bottled water usually doesn't, makes the latter taste better. Drink spring water from a mountain and it will taste absolutely delicious, because of those minerals. Now, people with high blood pressure might want to avoid bottled water for its high sodium content, that's true. Edit: Nestle is still evil.
After hearing about all they've done, I make a conscious effort to check every product I buy if it's from Nestlé. But like you said, they have so many products that it's almost impossible to avoid them, given the brand names are only the tip of the iceberg.
Same! I wanted to try vegan meat and chicken and was excited because I reviewed food and stuff. The packages has message for environment and such and since i always checked the corporation of food brands i was so shocked it was from nestle and threw it back to fridge. Yuck.
Start growing some of your own food. I started by putting three spring onion bulbs into a glass with a bit of water on my kitchen table. You can eat the shoots! Then progress as you see fit, just do a little (5 minutes) every day. Enjoy 😀
Fun fact: this is communist propaganda, buying water is not a crime, marketing is not a crime, and in developing nations people need to work to develop their country, water is a human right and so is private property.
But you can't compare a giant corporation to one man. A corporation is like a mini state, or government. So compared to other countries, it hasn't killed that many
I had a client who was a family member of one of the Unilever founders. It might have been in the late 90s when she met the CEO of Nestlé. She had 20 minutes with him but they talked for 2 hours. She confronted him with some of the accusations. He admitted, he knew what was wrong but blamed it on the investors who want profit over moral. The problem is a vicious cycle as people with money want to multiply their assets.
For more than 30 years, I have been informed of the damage caused by Nestlé on all continents and since then have always boycotted their products. I live in the country where this company was founded. Unfortunately, Nestlé isn't the only one, most of the giants of the food industry have such practice. If lots of people are complaining, most of them don't even bother to read the labels of products when shopping. The first victims are the very poor countries.
The flaw in that boycott is that many of the alternative brands you buy are ALSO owned by Nestlé. And that is why they are still thriving even despite boycotts. They own many other brands that people don't know of, and buy from.
I know years prior that Nestle really had a bad rep and history with shady deals and violation of Human Rights, but the fact that I kept buying things like Milo powder, Kit-kat, other snacks, etc from them is really ironic. It's not that I consume them everyday since it's kinda expensive, but the fact that many of their products are deliciously addicting just makes it harder to get away from them.
true that, I don't know how to not feel guilty while eating kitkats but again I cant help myself but to have those occassionally. hence, it had became my guilty pleasure
I feel this way about smarties buttons. I absolutely adore smarties and love the smarties buttons even more, they’re so addicting, but it makes me feel low-key horrible because I know how bad Nestle is, but I can’t help but buy one of my favourite chocolates from time to time y’know. I don’t buy them often but just knowing what they do makes me feel horrible just buying a chocolate I love.

As a Californian, this video means a lot to me. Nestle steals from everywhere and everyone. We’re in a drought and have been since 2008. It’s worse than that, we’re in a mega drought. Nestle decided to steal water from us. Now my water bill is $300/month (which is likely similar for other California residents) and I don’t even waste water (likely for other CA residents)! I try my best to conserve water :/ California has a lot of agriculture, so of course we need lots of water to grow food for us and other areas importing food from here. We also have lots of desert land (I grew up in a desert), with that being said, growing up in a desert you need more water because you get dehydrated more quickly and you also get sweaty quicker because it’s so hot, so we need to shower more. Nestle thinks water isn’t a human right and many people throughout the globe have experienced that first hand. It is a human right. Everyone needs it to live. If anyone doesn’t deserve water it’s these assholes in charge of nestle stealing water from us. They can drink dust for all I care. Nestle owns frisky’s cat food too, and I gave some to my kitty once. Poor thing for horrific food poisoning and wouldn’t stop throwing up and having diarrhea! Nestle clearly doesn’t care about their customer base at all. I’ll never buy that cat food ever again.
I used to admire Cali, now I see that place for what it is. What a contradiction; we’re in the desert but we have a lot of agriculture... FUCK. I have family out there, tbh just turn it all to hellfire now the writing is written all over the wall. We’re all complacent in our home/life but I will not feel sorry for suffering people who haven’t joined the exodus..

In India 🇮🇳 there was some research done on Nestle Maggi, and becuz of a substance that was found in that, it was banned with immediate effect. Literally $millions of worth of Maggi was destroyed. It feels good to know that India did that.
You say that but a couple million of lobbying and 40 years later these companies are still doing the same thing. They were just as corrupt then as they are now, they just put on a show after public outcry and then laugh their ass off with these companies behind closed doors.
It's one thing to offer bottled water as "pure, mountain spring water" when, in fact, it's tap water. It's quite another to divert a water supply from a community & then profit from the sale of tap water. I wouldn't call it a "right to water" so much as an illegal operation to purposefully deny a community their natural resources so a company can charge a fee for access to that very same resource which has been taken away.
Its insane how this is still allowed to be a company and there aren't at least a dozen CEO's in a jail cell. As long as you can make it profitable you can poison the world.
Let’s not forget with the Michigan’s Flint water crisis: governor rick Snyder’s wife was the head spokesperson of Nestle in Michigan. Instead of using clean water sources available for Flint, they decided to use it from the Flint River. Meanwhile nestle was using the clean water sources for their company. When I first learned that Rick Snyder’s wife was with Nestle, I found that very suspicious… if a whole city’s water is undrinkable, they will probably choose to buy water bottles, meaning lots of money for water bottle companies such as Nestle. Then when you read how much Nestle was benefiting from this Flint water crisis, as in they got to use the source of clean water for their business, instead of allowing clean water to Flint residents, it gets even more deplorable.
Just so you know in Germany the current (yet to leave) minister of agriculture was also bought in by Nestlé to promote their company and how "friendly" it is. She also issued laws in favor for Nestlé and is pretty hated by the general public.

How dumb do you have to be to think that hundreds of thousands of years of evolution are not good enough and a baby needs whatever crap they came up with in a lab. You're the reason such companies exist..
You missed a big one: In Maine they actually tried to sue residents who had wells, claiming they owned all the aquifers; they didn't win, but they keep trying.

When stuff gets really bad, that's when the common people will make waves. Many are paycheck to paycheck but have enough to get by so there is not much time to think about these important issues. They are more worried about feeding their families and keeping the lights and heat on.
They are on many products but are hidden. Like perrier sparkling water. in very tiny print i think their name is on it. their candy is a staple on Halloween. Some companies are too big to fall. There are many topics that need attention but fall into obscurity when something else big hits the news.

It really isn't that easy, because nestle owns a ton of shit and doesn't even label most. Ffs, I recently discovered my fucking chocolate milk was made by nestle. Glad to say I won't be enjoying those anymore

two quick notes for modern nestle: the company has sold off most all of its regional water brands though it is keeping certain "premium" brands of spring water and hydration products. The other change is that Ferrero bought nearly all of their confections with the exception of Kit-Kat. To claim that they still have those holding is wrong but it is disingenuous to not disclose these facts in your segments. It does not take away from the terrible things Nestle has done, but it is an important distinction to make if you are trying to claim they are objectively "evil".

This increases the likelyhood of a new discovery by making essentially a temporary legal monopoly.

"If price is lower when high suply and price is higher when low suply,
why not just suply less and make more money for lower cost" (me, 2021)

Just stop buying shit with 10 meter long labels on it. A tomato doesn't grow with a label on it. Ethics is much less a concern if people would stop their addiction to these "foods" that these companies produced and have 90 percent of their diets based on actual foods grown by people that arent bending over backwards to obfuscate the origin of their products.
If the government really cared they would regulate and demand information to the public about their products to be able to sell them in stores.
If the neighbourhood Kareens just put 1/4 of their time getting some true information. It could help atleast them a lot

California has a lot of agriculture, so of course we need lots of water to grow food for us and other areas importing food from here. We also have lots of desert land (I grew up in a desert), with that being said, growing up in a desert you need more water because you get dehydrated more quickly and you also get sweaty quicker because it’s so hot, so we need to shower more.

@@lonelyplanet1080 that's the big question, innit?
It's one thing to offer bottled water as "pure, mountain spring water" when, in fact, it's tap water. It's quite another to divert a water supply from a community & then profit from the sale of tap water. I wouldn't call it a "right to water" so much as an illegal operation to purposefully deny a community their natural resources so a company can charge a fee for access to that very same resource which has been taken away.
We in The South US have the right of capture rule based on English common law, if you own the land, the water below is yours.
Crimes against humanity
But hey, they'll never be punished
Omg wow I gotta research this. It pisses me off they still don't have clean water. Like Really? Wtf
God that’s shady and suspicious as fuck

Is it too late for a class action suit from Flint residents & businesses?

Stupid . These people and their families should simply be round up, shot, and forgotten.
As humans we need to stop fighting each other and come together to bring down dirty companies like these
As easy as it sound, its more challenging. Difference between corporations and mafia is that corporation got higher budgets. . . and they use it for legal protection by corporate law firms . . .
That's a grand goal. Hope we can work towards that.
We're still technically fighting each other since the guys behind Nestle are still (even remotely) human
It was the water. It was the water.
It really isn't that easy, because nestle owns a ton of shit and doesn't even label most. Ffs, I recently discovered my fucking chocolate milk was made by nestle. Glad to say I won't be enjoying those anymore
One of my major routines in supermarket since years is to check package for NESTLÉ trademark. If it's there, thing won't land in my cart. Same with other companies from the "rootless cosmopolitan" tier. Local brands, local producers. They exist, and they deserve your money.
Same here. I go to the wet market for seafood and other meats while I would really make an effort to go to local shops and farmers. I also stopped eating chocolate, drank milk, or bought products from Nestle. I just really hate them for the formula milk thing. I'm not a mother but I see mothers who have really changed their perception towards breastfeeding as a bad thing. Ugh.
They own Gerber fyi
these businesses are are doing everything they can to ensure that you never have a choice. We must do everything we can to ensure they don’t. The free market is no longer free, it hasn’t been for a long time. We’ve replaced government tyranny with tyranny of the rich. The lines between the government and corporations are also becoming disturbingly blurred, for example with OxyContin.
@Glenn Krenz lol what are you going on about
@Glenn Krenz lol it seems like you’re arguing against some preconceived notions you have of people who criticize the current system in the US. If you even knew anything about economics you would know socialism isn’t solely an economic philosophy lmao.
It took a UA-cam video for me to learn about A decades long scandal. There is no truth in traditional media anymore smh
shoutout to nestle for convincing my mother to feed me formula so i can now have a generally fucked up immune system and atopic eczema for the rest of my life, thanks bros!
your mother is dumb
@@sghqz Propaganda is thing, the company is dumb and evil
@@theirishempire4952 she chose to believe it 💁♀️
@@sghqz Im not going to get into the complicated machine of Propaganda, but people are tricked into believing things
@UCZD3WGzklgE4FH2hrOSTlJg yea its always the individuals fault, never the system right? idiot
God, I'm poor in Africa. Got my first job after five years of searching only to be given a "uniform" perfectly mimicking that of doctors in public hospitals and being told to walk into hospitals abd wards to sell a terrible technical medical products to hypertensive and diabetic patients. To say I kept having panic attacks at the realization I was harming already sick vulnerable people was an understatement. This "treatment" was IMF supported and they weren't paying us a living wage.
Absolutely scandalous!! What gets me really mad, is the lack of support or help for whistleblowers, NOT residing in N. America. If you were to say something about that company, obviously you would lose your job, so what other choice is there, but to work under such constraints?? I so hope that a better job comes your way, so that you step away from that vile company and it's ongoing acts of depravity!
two quick notes for modern nestle: the company has sold off most all of its regional water brands though it is keeping certain "premium" brands of spring water and hydration products.
Nestle still owns Smarties, Aero, Yorkie, Crunch, MilkyBar, Roll, Nesquick (obviously).
@@themoon7435 and most of these are a pale shadow of the products they were before the British manufacturer got bought up by Nestle. Don’t get me started on that one!
They are definitely still evil. Just because they offloaded their questionable brands doesn't mean they righted a wrong. They just found a way to not have liability. Still an evil shit company
The thumbnails in these videos are amazing, you're really good at that
Nestle be like some baby's will die but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make
anything for profit!
"millions may die, but i'll get money so pfttt who cares?"

Capitalism
Wait you're village is suffering from drought ? Let me pump out remaining water .
Ending overpopulation while making a killing.
I feel dirty knowing that I've eaten some of their food products and we just got a free coupon for nestle water a few weeks ago.
burn it
Nestle water is terrible water anyways. It’s tap water from drought stricken areas like California.
@@Marco-Champolo Burn the water? XD
@@pookiehoney oh wow wtf
@@pookiehoney I don't get why they charge so much for water anyways. It's a human necessity.
This doesn't get enough attention honestly, fact is nestle had the best year in 2020... This company from hell, had a great financial year during this whole pandemic
is it their responsibility if people accept lockup (down ) and sit on the couch eating their sugar ( sugar with some cocoa added ) etc ? hahahaha then complain about being fat and pre diabetic hahahahaha
@@servantprince ?
@@shayan_idk His trying to say that you can't hold Nestle accountable for people's life choices and regret at said choices
@@servantprince I'm honestly disappointed by us as humans because we gave them our money, there are alternatives online that are better than nestle/their other companies, but we still chose them
hes somehow conflating pandemic lockdowns and corporate greed. wouldnt pay mind to that
