New Years 1 2023 I wish you & Mom were more “Up” on Antiques &! Jewerlerfor our education On positive note you & Mom are upbeat & entertainin Beat part: you are humble enough to admit what you don’t know! Bless you both
Grandma V: There are usually extra blades inside of the box cutter! I love Ashley but the combination of you and Wade is just hilarious. I love to see the finds but I watch for the comedy of you two! You two are priceless and you bring so much joy in this dreary time. Watching the 2 of you always makes me miss my son - he moved several states away so I don't get to see him very often. His humor is much like Wade's.
The heavier-duty metal box cutters have spare blades inside of the handle, but the cheaper ones have a long blade that is scored. You grip the dull end part with a needle-nosed plier and snap it off, and you have a new sharp blade!
I love the relationship you have with your Mom and all the funny stuff, like I had with mine which I lost in 2003...this is refreshing and much needed...Thanks
Hi,try to carry some cloth or white gloves to handle, the Tiffany clock and Newspapers,so the grease from hands don't damage them.very good storage congrats.love to watch you guys,my niece told me about you.
I missed this video and somehow found it, and I am so glad I did. Grandma Ventures I love your beautiful sweater, what a wonderful colour and it suits you so well sweetheart. I really love the blue and white vase, and the lovely fruit bowl the other glass pieces I like are the duck and the goose but then I have always liked glass especially blue lol. There are so many gorgeous items in these units, they must have spent thousands of dollars on the contents of these units which blows my mind to be honest. The other thing I really like is the book in the cardboard sleeve, all the paintings and drawings are so well done and its a wonderful book for spending time by a fireside with a log burning, my idea of a relaxing time, whille its cold and wet outside. I hope you went home and warmed up after being in the cold so long my friends, take care and stay safe please God bless you all love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK
This is a FABULOUS buy of storages!!! So glad you got all of them!! They collected only the most pristine antiques & collectibles!! I will be staying with you through these videos . . AND DROOLING !!!
You guys are making my days. So funny. I just love the older things because they are like pieces of art. That toaster was beautiful. Also that yellow pitcher. I just love these units. You really struck gold with this one. It makes me happy to see how blessed you all are. Stay safe. Thanks for sharing with us. ❤️
I often pause your videos because curiosity gets the better of me and I have to google things straight away. Those Lu-Ray pastels cups etc are so pretty and vary in price. That Matthew Norman clock, wow!! Definitely take your "time" to check that out....I think you just hit some decent money there. 💰
The Pasta Pro was an infomercial from around 2002-ish. It was super popular back then. Soon after major pot brands grabbed onto the idea. Weird to actually see a brand new one in 2021! lol. Loving this locker! So fun! Thanks for your content. :)
I remember, years ago, reading a magazine article about collecting LuRay dinnerware. The pictures of china cabinets full of it were absolutely beautiful. (They seem to be rather hard to find, like most of the finds in there.)
I loved the old purex jug, have never seen one before. Those pastel cups and saucers are to die for ! ! I love the daily videos, looking forward to the next one.
I'm kind of a new sub here. I love watching you kids. (I'm 70, I can refer to you as kids🥰) I was at school when President Kennedy was shot. I was about 7yrs old. I was on the playground. I would always spend my play time along the fence. I would hang out with the crossing guard. This day she was in her little VW crying her eyes out. She had her transistor radio up to her ear. She came out of the car and told me our President was shot.
Hi, I'm loving these everyday videos. I just looked up that clock from Tiffany, it sold for 245.00 plus shipping on November 27th. Awesome score. yehaaa!
The weighted small vases are called '"paperweight vases" the glass ducks are Murano Italy. Some sterling flatware had a gold wash to them - they are not tarnished! if the flatware does NOT say sterling it is plated.By the way Grandma - The small lamps from yesterday unpacking are oil lamps and not hurricane lamps. by the way, my son lives in Portland so I get the weather report from him.
Hello, I just love watching you and mom going through the box of beautiful things, I am amazed at the beautiful things that you have got , I am waiting every day for you to come on where I can see more things that are in those boxes, lol. I don't have Facebook because of the Scammers, I am on UA-cam. Love you 💕 this time watching you and mom helps me a lots because I don't go out much only to get groceries and money orders to mail my bills, due to this virus. Be bless.
I was in the fifth grade listening to Lets Draw on the Radio. I remember our teacher suddenly shutting off the radio, leaving the room, and meeting the sixth grade teacher in the hall......they clung to each other and started sobbing. !!!
Wade, do you actually read the comments, or just put a heart on comments? I checked your lu Ray pottery and a four place setting set sells for $340. I can’t find that weird pitcher at all! Matthew Norman miniature carriage clock $5K. You just paid for your units!! No, you do not melt it down. A service for eight will sell for $3k. Holmes and Edwards silverware is a silver plate 1900- 1920. Wild America book around $60, give or take. I’m an old lady and can’t get to your posh mark site.
He reads them and so do I and we do appreciate the information we get from our people. Sometimes we go back to find a certain one to make sure we look up the right thing. It is very helpful so I want to thank you!!!!!
45:00 I remember when it happened, too. I was in class with my homeroom teacher crying. She was American. According to a UA-cam vlogger on antiques, there are so many people who keep newspaper and magazines featuring the assassination that they’re not very rare.
Love this locker! Really moved by the newspaper about JFK. I was living 100 miles away and my aunt had promised my cousin and I that she would take us to Dallas to see the president. Both of us girls had a crush on the whole Kennedy family and were dying to see the President and First Lady. Then, just the night before we were to go, our grandmother had developed severe double pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital. Our aunt was the only one who could stay with her (it was just a tiny town and had to have family take care of the patient). Our trip to Dallas was cancelled, so we just watched it all on TV. We watched all the activities, then Walter Cronkite interrupted to tell us the horrible news. We all were crying and wished we had been able to see him one last time. It was not to be. We were both just teenagers and were devastated by the events, from the shots heard to the funeral. I well never forget those days!
Maybe I missed it but why would someone let these beautiful units go to auction??? Outstanding Antiques! You all hit a gold mine! Love the videos and all of you.♥️
i was born may 1963. my parents had an album with his picture on it. as a little girl id want to cry feeling overwheilming greif seeing his kind face. my mom told me later who he was.
Hi, Denise. You make laugh so much. I wish I lived by you. We have so much in common. I love those dessert bowls. Going to be watching for those. Singing Lessons looks like a Hummel. Love ya
I was in first grade in McLean, Virginia. 3 miles from D.C. Same age as Caroline. A classmate's father was an aide to JFK. Word spread among the teachers and there was a total breakdown of the staff which froze all of us. It was such a sad, sad day, regardless of one's politics. I'm pretty sure we were all sent home early.
Horlicks measuring glass has a plunger to mix drinks rather than shake them. Made in England.. Also the pastel dishes are LU - RAY - Taylor, Smith, & Taylor. 1938-1961 Beautiful!
I’m not sure with the last comment went LOL So come to find out they were just compulsive buyers, They never sold anything they mostly bought their items from auctions and really hoarded antiques And they never on the shop it’s odd
Usually those utility knives have extra blades inside the knife. Also each blade has 2 sides. Open the handle and turn the blade over so you can use the other enx!
I was at home playing upstairs. Mom called us all down. We knelt on the floor and prayed but he was already gone. Little John John was just precious saluting the casket during the funeral procession. Such a little guy to lose his Daddy. We were riveted to the TV. Looking back at that footage now I am shocked by all the smoking going on. I'm glad we don't have that anymore.
There is nothing like having Grandma there to cheer everyone up! She's the greatest! Love her blue sweater...looks really nice on her. Sandi from S.C.

Horlicks is like Ovaltine, it’s a malted milk powder for bedtime. That’s a glass mixer for it and you usually got them free with purchases.
Over to quick. So happy for your good luck. I will be here every day. Stay well and happy. Miss Ashley. Mama working at home. Love you all.
Grandma Ventures Blue is your color. Beautiful!
This is a FABULOUS buy of storages!!! So glad you got all of them!! They collected only the most pristine antiques & collectibles!! I will be staying with you through these videos . . AND DROOLING !!!
Love grandma love her spirit. She’s so fun!
Just love all your videos especially the banter between you obviously a loving relationship between mum and son.💜🥰

Sell sterling for scrap. Worth a lot. Especially if monogrammed. Lunt is a good brand.
Kudos to Ashley for doing daily videos❤️❤️

That Matthew Norman clock, wow!! Definitely take your "time" to check that out....I think you just hit some decent money there. 💰
The little “singing lessons” figurine is a Hummel. Pretty valuable stuff.
I am watching this 2 years after you got the unit,I hope you did not sell it to cheap, how do things end up in storage units ??
I'm new to your channel and really enjoy you guys . Wade you crack me up!! And I love your mom and Ashley..

Lu-Ray Pastels was Taylor,Smith &Taylor’s most popular line of dinnerware. It was first introduced in the summer of 1938 and was discontinued in 1961.
Not that I anything about anything but I was looking up Lu Kay cause that is what I was hearing ..lol and I come up with Lu Ray…beautiful pieces!
I remember, years ago, reading a magazine article about collecting LuRay dinnerware. The pictures of china cabinets full of it were absolutely beautiful. (They seem to be rather hard to find, like most of the finds in there.)
I collect Lu-ray. Love them.
The pieces of Lu-Ray that aren't marked are sometimes mistaken for Fiesta ware.
OK! That Norman/Tiffany clock just paid for all your units!!! Found the treasure!!!
Looks like angel is Lefton. Very collectible!
I loved the old purex jug, have never seen one before. Those pastel cups and saucers are to die for ! ! I love the daily videos, looking forward to the next one.
I can't wait till your next video. I love y'all.

Singing lessons is a HUMMEL!!!

Bless Wade’s heart. He knows nothing about nothing!
Grandma Ventures, I love love love the color of your sweater! You should wear that color blue all the time, it looks amazing on you! 😘

The “Singing Lessons” boy looks like a Hummel, but you would have to double check. They are pretty pricey and a GREAT collectible!
That Tiffany clock is actually gold!
Good Luck with the Avon. I couldnt sell my grandmother's cars. Loved the Lu-Rays.

Someone has been late night shopping with Pasta Pro LOL
Wow 😮 another great unboxing! Please don’t melt the silver! It’s worth more as is
This locker is awsome! And the videos are even better!
I remember Fords speech he said "lm a Ford not a Lincoln". Ha ha!
You can tell if it is cut glass if it feels sharp when running hands over the glass. If it feels smoother it is pressed.
45:00 I remember when it happened, too. I was in class with my homeroom teacher crying. She was American. According to a UA-cam vlogger on antiques, there are so many people who keep newspaper and magazines featuring the assassination that they’re not very rare.
Horlicks is a UK bedtime drink. A powder you mix with hot milk, it makes a malted milk drink.

I would love to have that set. I’m slowly making my kitchen in retro.

The Matthew Norman clock. If the Tiffany box is it's original one, it may be worth around 600 $US. Wow!
I love the ducks the glass and salt and pepper shaker
Awesomeness
Back in old days, bleach was behind the counter at a general store or pharmacy. They were kept in glass jars like the one you have/found.

I'm probably wrong, but it looks like a dealers stock and priced accordingly...The writing is the same on the tickets I've seen. It's lovely stuff.
WOW! The one from West Germay is a Hummel figurine.
Usually those utility knives have extra blades inside the knife. Also each blade has 2 sides. Open the handle and turn the blade over so you can use the other enx!
I've got a pasta pro thing and it works great.
