Damascus sewing machines were made in the late 1800s, around 1889-90 probably. The one you showed may be one that was designed to use a 'vibrating shuttle' often being decorated with gold highlights.

The Damascas sewing machine is pre-1920s. (A lot of smaller sewing machine companies sold out to Singer at that time. Most of them made good quality machines.) It's a treadle machine (pre-electric), so it will need a vintage treadle machine stand. Adding a sewing machine motor to it isn't too expensive, and then somebody could install it into a regular sewing table or case. It is beautiful.

Germans are known for their sausages. They probably used it for loaf of bread as well. Pretty cool slicer! Brand is Star and it is a bench grinder to sharping knives. I used to collect McCoy Pottery cookie jars. These were made in the late 70's and into the 80's before they closed for good. They not super rare, but you have a whole collection set which makes it special for a collector. Hager #904 is probably from the 1950's, The basic color was green, I would agree it is a planter for house plants. Looks like a copper boiling pot. 1917 churn, to make cream or butter, yes. Milk from a cow. They are vintage wooden shoe stretcher to keep the shoes in place. Shoe stores or personal use. ladies but also mens shoes.

Love everything so far! Too much to choose which is my favorite. So much I would love to have. I can't even imagine the family members not wanting everything. Only the 2 antique vehicle's.
If their watching the unboxing no telling what their thinking and saying.
I would of done everything in my power to keep what their parent's took pride in collecting item's they knew would be of value.
It makes me wonder did the parents have it in mind to give it all for an inheritance. Who knows?

Another video with lots of lovely items, so different to the usual things found in storage units. I can't tell what my favourite item is though the jewellery musical box is lovely and looks expensive. The metal cars would be very sought after I'm sure, and I dont think that's thick enough to be a waffle maker, something thin like a pancake (a crepe is another name for them). Some of the old mixers look very interesting, my Mum used to make everything with a bowl and spoon I didn't use a food mixer till the late 70's and Mum never had one and she made wonderful cakes. It nearly midnight here so goodnight and God bless you all love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK

42:06: They used to put a thin layer of tin on the inside of copper cooking pots, to prevent verdigris poisoning. They didn't do that on jam or candy cooking pots, because sugar gets so hot it would melt the tin.
48:22: Those are for people with bunions. You buy your shoes, but of course they don't fit your bunions. Shove the wooden form, with the white caps where your bunions are, in the wetted shoes, let it stand a while so they stretch, and hey presto, one pair of exactly fitting shoes.
That's as far as my knowledge goes today, sorry I can't be of more help. Beautiful stuff tho!

I have an old spice cabinet/hoosier style tin cabinet that fits in the back of a wagon train cook's wagon for out on the trial when herding cattle to market back in the 1800's, 40:30 Yes, that is an old antique butter churn, similar to the glass ones that they made, but I think, older, plus it made more butter at one time. I have made butter by shaking it in a jar, but this way is much easier, especially if there are not alot of kids to hand the jar around too as it takes a long time. Worth about $100.
