  • If "reticulating splines" was an audio effect, I think this is what it might sound like. Wamper's Terraform, touted as a true stereo multi-effects engine with that legendary Wampler quality, immediately caught my attention with this sidechain-ish modulated swell that sounds like something I could immediately drop into a trance track or mellow mood piece. The rise times and peaks sync perfectly against the tapped-in tempo, and allow for some really playful silences in between if you let your playing pause for a moment and take in the landscape. This is certainly one of my favorite multFX units I've tested to date. Enjoy!
Tanner's Two-Minute Tryouts are a series of fast demos of over one hundred guitar effects pedals. These aren't comprehensive pedal reviews - instead, I am looking for a setting that I find immediately inspiring and capturing the first thing that comes to mind. Sometimes messy, sometimes dreamy, always around two minutes.

Signal path: Fender Custom Shop David Gilmour NOS into the featured pedal and then into my 2018 Benson Monarch 15. I am capturing with a Royer R121 ribbon microphone via Antelope conversion and minimally processing in Logic Pro.
