Omg terrible audio....sorry guys
I started when I was 4 in 1977 and am still practicing today
In spain is a little diferent. Normaly, the children start in local dojo or even in school as a extracurricular activities in some cases (between 6 and 12 years old). The only site to keep practing is in the dojo, in a sport center. When you grow up and become a elite athlete, may be some sport center grant you to train with the national or regional team. In some university have a karate club too.
In my case, I start when I was 4, and I still going after 20 years. The last 5 years in the university I join in the karate club where the sensei is a very friend of my sensei, and train in two place (morning in university an evening in local dojo). I'm fortunate :)
I am From Israel, While we have our own Martial art, I started Shotokan at 6 Y/O at our local Dojo (honbu Dojo of the Israeli SKIF Budo Association), I stayed there until 16 Y/O as we do not have the Higher level, But from 6 to 16 the path was the same including the 13-16 age of Training the young ones, We have no Scolership nor Sponsorship, From 16 to today (32), I moved from Dojo to dojo, Working on my Karate, But as an amateur sport. While always coming home to my first Dojo.
I was lucky enough to meet and train with Hirokazu Kanazawa Soke and Nobuaki Kanazawa Kanchō, and receive my Black belt from Koga Rikuta Hanshi, who I first met at the age of 7.
Well, my kids started karate at 5 and 6...I started at 38!!! I wish I started earlier like my girls did. I'm not as flexible or fast as my 7 year old, but I still love it
Started when I was 7, practiced for 4 years. Stopped it because the association "laid off" my Sensei and the new one was more sport oriented; I didn't like the mindset at all. Started again a year and a half ago and was going to grade for the 3rd kyu when covid happened.
I wish I was born in Japan to have a chance to practice much more when I was growing up :)
Your passion for karate is truly amazing.
I hope my channel becomes one of your motivation sources to keep going! :)
@@KarateDojowaKu It will for sure! I really enjoy your channel! Keep up
Started at the age of 29 and i can only dream of becoming nearly as good, the gap is too big 😳 but now this is my own karate journey!
ても がんばって みなさん^ - ^
Similar to your situation sensei yusuke, I started at 6 years old and drop it then picked it up again at 15 till 16 then dropped it again but then picking it up again at 18/19
Here in germany there are a few bad dojos and even less good ones. 😭
I turn 14 next month, and I am looking forward to a career in Karate. I started when I was 8. Can you tell me the names of some good colleges in Japan where I can study and get in a Karate team? I have thought of moving to Japan for college, where I can continue Karate and my studies.
Very informative learning about the process of a karateka who's involved in the sport of karate. Have you noticed a difference, or are you able to comment on what you have noticed in Japan for those who practice more for the art rather than the sport?
I would say most of the kids take part in the sport aspect of karate since it’s obviously more enjoyable for them.
The ones that look for the art aspect are the older practitioners, usually starting after they’ve stopped with competitions.
what do the kanjis in your dojo virtual background mean? doesnt seem to have any meaning . pls correct me if im wrong . Oss
That seem to be Chinese characters. To the left 月在圆 means full moon. To the right? "Sister you you" says Google. Probably a UA-cam provided background ;-) I can't speak Chinese...
Is this compulsory to learn karate for every japanies...?
i started karate when i was 10
Osu! 10 is the best age to start. Thats when I started as well.
I see only three channels , 2 for karate tips and tricks and 1 for katas . The three channels are
1. KARATE DOJO WAKU
2. SHAHABUDDIN KARATE
3.SHOTOKANKATAMAN
