Jesse cash was in a band before erra called by blood and iron, it's another one of those amazing deathcore bands that have like two demo's then fall off the face of the earth.
At 33mins - I feel ERRA is a great example of this type of thing, where initially you need to listen a bunch of times to each song to absorb all the complex depth to all the layers of the melodies and of different instrumentation and strong structure etc.
Jesse is so well spoken. Have had the pleasure of running into both him and JT at the merch booth a few times over the years. Such a great group of dudes who deserve all the success they continue to have
I met ERRA when they were touring for Impulse. I got stuck in traffic for an hour on the way to the show and only caught their last song (Seven). I didn't like any of the other bands, so I ended up hanging out with them in the parking lot and then leaving. They couldn't have been nicer, especially Alex and Jesse. One of them said they actually noticed me walk in during their last song and look super bummed out for missing the set. Glad these guys got success, they're super talented and will forever be the pinnacle of the late-myspace era of metalcore/deathcore along with other bands like Veil of Maya and Born of Osiris. The myspace thing may sound dumb, but that's where a lot of the groundbreaking bands got found. Pretty sure ERRA and Elitist were in Misha Mansoor's (Bulb, at the time) top 8. That self titled EP represented a step forward for the genre, and Andromeda really drove it home.
Obligatory: THIS BAND IS SO FUCKING GOOD. Loved hearing the discussion on the sheet work that goes into touching the level of polish and musicianship they put off. Sheesh!
Monday is a great podcast day. The it's always sunny podcast and Garza. I'm not HUGE on these guys but I do like some of their stuff but the conversations here are usually great either way.
Lol to what Jesse's saying at 33:00. I didn't get the erra hype when I first played through a couple songs then last year according to Spotify I was in their top .2% of listeners.
Yo! So stoked listening to this, I grew up around Birmingham scene. The fish music hall days are such a fond memory! It’s VERY rare to hear this talked about being that it was such a small amount of us. I am SO happy for these guys, fucking great shit. ❤
Man, the fish was amazing. My brother used to take me when I was only around 6-7. Everyone there was always so nice every time I went with him. Those are some of my favorite childhood memories. 😭
@@Riggsby256 His name is Alex Norris. he used to go every time the fish did anything. Shoulder length black hair, kinda rounded face, always wore jeans lol
Alabamacore. One of of favorite bands along with suicide silence and podcats. Keep it up garza! Would be cool to get the devil wears prada and sylosis on next.
I think its hilarious when all these bands say they opened up for suicide silence way back in the beginning and garzas like "really?" He don't remember shit. 😂 but I remember waay back in Vegas my friends and I had a crew and we called ourselves cutthroat crew from a little town in az and we used to hang out with Molotov solution and that whole vegas scene and suicide silence was partying with us and they definitely could hang. Haha so I understand why he cant remember much. Man those were the good ol days.
Which date did you go? I caught them on the 15th at the Filmore. Had a blast and the venue was the most packed I've ever seen it. I mean it was a sold out show but it felt like there was more than capacity in there lol
Wow, I didn't think I would hear them talk about Recher in Towson, MD.. that's my local venue. They just reopened that place, after being down for a few years. I didn't see the show they were talking about, though.. sad I missed that one. I did see Unearth at Recher but it must have been a different tour, Suicide Silence wasn't there for that show :( I think it was Darkest Hour, Lam of God & Unearth.
I love these guys I feel depressed though when they are saying they’re getting old let’s see when you’re 40 and up lol they are in their youth that’s why they’re killing it right now.
I love the people in this band been listening since i was like 18 I'm 26 now and jesse is so well spoken and humble 👏 ❤️ 🙌 🤘 ill be doing hella shrooms and Molly when i see them may 28th in Detroit. Gonna be best day in my life since i saw invent animate last year in Detroit. I gotta drive almost 3 hours for this shii from grand rapids can't wait ❤
Sick band, I believe my Spanish teacher told me he’s friends with or has connections with one of the vocalists, not sure if it’s J.T. or any of the past ones though I’ll have to ask him
Clicked only because I saw NICKELBACK in the name of the video‼️ Now☝️‼️ Do yourself a favor and go listen to the greatest crossover rock/metal band in history of mankind- NICKELBACK👊🤘💥🔥

Would be cool if Clint became a full time member!
And now he's a full time member, glad for him!
