King Conquer was legendary, saw them twice back in the day and were killing it. Also seen Bodysnatcher twice this year already, they're amazing live, just straight ass beating music.
its so amazing to hear that king conquer and float face down being mentioned to a bigger audience. BOTH of those bands are so good. Bodysnatcher is amazing. Glad that this history is out there.
Yeah I’ve noticed some bands or band members don’t listen to or barely support their own genre at all apart from their own band or the bands they’re on tour with
One of my favourite things was seeing someone comment on a Bodysnatcher video 'The drummer sounds like the vocalist from King Conquer' and homeboy was like 'Yeah that's me'.
I love bodysnatcher and had no idea they have a former member of king conquer. Heavy bands tragically end and the members seem to always go bigger and better. I love it
So happy to see float face down mentioned on a major podcast! New Jerseys finest. Saw them 3 times during their run and I own their first ep! 😤🤘 R.I.P. Ron
Whited was right on the money with why I fell in love with deathcore- the death metal riffs with actual hardcore parts. It hooked me because it felt like someone combined Morbid Angel and Hatebreed and that shit was so sick
Love the podcast and love that you brought in Bodysnatcher! Seen them in this last tour at Hanger 1819. Absolutely fucking slapped and a trash can went flying😂 great time!🤘🏻
Love this podcast! Got my ass handed to me in a pit at Bodysnatchers show in Denver hahah. They put on such a good show. So glad you got an interview with them!
Not sure how I didn’t know about this podcast until recently. Watched your podcast with Tim lambesis and was really impressed. Love hearing all the behind the scenes stories about the making of records and on tour. Probably a long shot but I’d love to see Tommy vext on the show. He has a pretty long history of music through divine heresy, Westfield massacre and bad wolves. Would be fun episode
Awesome podcast I grew up with a bunch of friends in bands in the local metal scene here in San Antonio texas it’s awesome to hear the stories and the writing process I can see there is good chemistry and passion in this band long live deathcore
King Conquer and Float Face Down produced some of my favorite records of that era. Had no idea a few fellas from there became Bodysnatcher. So sick. Loving the new EP (2024) Cheers! -Nick
It's odd that they have Will Ramos in a video but just as an actor. The song slams. I like the unpredictability of that. It would be badass if you got Marc or anyone from Veil of Maya on, Josh Travis, anyone from Beneath the Massacre, or change it up by having 311 on. It always is disappointing when all the heavy bands I love talk about their early influences and none of em are ever die hard 311 heads lol. Garza needs to investigate 311. Great podcast as always!
My band Grieved opened the San Antonio, TX date of this tour and we even filmed our upcoming live music video at the show. The entire place was going nuts the entire time 🔥
Chris, with the way you talk about the creative process, I think you would enjoy the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's a modern classic for artists and creators.
The Acacia Strain still has super aggressive shows. The last 2 times I saw them, full-blown fights/people dropped and carried out within the first few songs. And Vincent still constantly calls for stage dives and fans grabbing the mic from him.
Crazy to me that Garza didn't know king conquer or float face down. I remember those bands being legendary to me when that tour came around with aegaeon and last ten
Great podcast with BS, I feel like if I had a convo with the vocalist about deathcore back in the day we would get carried away for hours 💀💀. My band got to play with them back in 2016 in Chico CA. Great times Forsure
nice interview I love this band. does anyone know what band the guy on the far right is wearing? I thought it was ingested but cant find that hoodie.shits fire
King conquers Americas most haunted.. man that crispy sound of it still gives me chills to this day. Phenomenal album!
10 Gallon Gasoline Stomach. Im from NY but FL had a bunch of dope heavy bands back in the day. Adaliah, King Conquer, etc.
@@georgearrivalsTake Charge was a crazy band also from FL
Love that album heavy af
King Conquer never got their full due way underrated band.
Love your podcast. I really like how you allow your guest to speak and you ask all the right questions
King Conquer was legendary, saw them twice back in the day and were killing it.
Also seen Bodysnatcher twice this year already, they're amazing live, just straight ass beating music.
I like this band's spirit, especially Kyle Medina. Such a great thing to see their wholesomeness.
His posts on Facebook are literally the highlight of me using the app, the most heartwarming and down to earth dude that gives me hope :P
its so amazing to hear that king conquer and float face down being mentioned to a bigger audience. BOTH of those bands are so good. Bodysnatcher is amazing. Glad that this history is out there.
King Conquer & Float Face Down were legendary bands, I'm not surprised this band is so good
Kyle Medina is a legend imo. Also he threw down for my band when we played in Tampa during our tour. I couldnt believe it lol
That man loves his karate mosh haha
Kyle is such a fan of his genre. So awesome to see. Miss that in most bands tbh
Yeah I’ve noticed some bands or band members don’t listen to or barely support their own genre at all apart from their own band or the bands they’re on tour with
Thank you Garza for giving these great bands a voice. New SS album is sick.
My fav album to lift to so far this year. Good stuff
One of my favourite things was seeing someone comment on a Bodysnatcher video 'The drummer sounds like the vocalist from King Conquer' and homeboy was like 'Yeah that's me'.
Love hearing them mention Thick as Blood. Saw them countless times growing up. I remember when they had 3 vocalists.
R.I.P. Ron
Exitium Verum was the last good deathcore album. Period.
king conquer was and is fucking legendary, still jam it all the time. RIP to the guys who died
DON'T STOP DOING THESE PODCAST!!!! THESE ARE SO GOOD!!!!
When they compliment eachothers cooking, just warms my heart. Played with them in Denver, killer dudes.
this stuff exactly what the scene needs. love the shoutouts of all that old shit.. total deathcore and blogspots, myspace bands
This band has quickly become one of my favorite to listen to and surprisingly I didn't hear em on tiktoc
Absolutely fucking slapped and a trash can went flying😂 great time!🤘🏻
That was a sick show 🤣
Love this podcast! Got my ass handed to me in a pit at Bodysnatchers show in Denver hahah. They put on such a good show. So glad you got an interview with them!

King conquer and float face down were some of my first deathcore bands 🔥🔥
Best podcast around right now 👊
Saw these guys in Pittsburgh a month ago with Brand of Sacrifice and Shadow of Intent. Phenomenal show. Hope they come back!
I bought so many shirts from that tour.
Dang these guys are really awesome. I love seeing bigger bands, and smaller bands, just being cool and chill.
loved this episode of the pod! The bodysnatcher boys are killing it right now
Im from San Antonio and yes we all fuck with Bodysnatcher.
Not sure how I didn’t know about this podcast until recently. Watched your podcast with Tim lambesis and was really impressed. Awesome podcast I grew up with a bunch of friends in bands in the local metal scene here in San Antonio texas it’s awesome to hear the stories and the writing process I can see there is good chemistry and passion in this band long live deathcore
i saw these guys in Tampa like 8 years ago, still crazy memories with how wild the show was.
THIS IS SO SICK VERY HAPPY TO SEE BODYSNATCHER ON THIS
King Conquer and Float Face Down produced some of my favorite records of that era. Had no idea a few fellas from there became Bodysnatcher. So sick. Loving the new EP (2024) Cheers! -Nick

Awesome man, I’ve been binging these lately, would be awesome to see traitors on here soon!
Watching the midi when you're recording is kind of like reading sheet music. Very useful.
YES! One of my absolute favorites
Would be so cool if you got Veil of Maya or Born of Osiris on your podcast!
It's odd that they have Will Ramos in a video but just as an actor. The song slams. I like the unpredictability of that. It would be badass if you got Marc or anyone from Veil of Maya on, Josh Travis, anyone from Beneath the Massacre, or change it up by having 311 on. Love hearing the masquerade getting mentioned! Atlanta represents!
Cobalt Cafe mentioned!!! Hell yeah dude, RIP
Bodysnatcher puts on one of the best performances
Had a Santanas five minutes away from me but but they changed like 10 years ago F and RIP. Best California Burritos ever.
This Heavy Void was on repeat for the whole pandemic.Fucking love that album!
My band Grieved opened the San Antonio, TX date of this tour and we even filmed our upcoming live music video at the show. The entire place was going nuts the entire time 🔥
I had no idea members of King Conquer and Dealey Plaza are now in Bodysnatcher!! Those bands went hard as fuck back in the day 🔥🔥🔥
Would be dope to have Angelmaker on the podcast
Stick around and stay tuned, good stuff on the way 🤘🥳🤘
Sounded like a hint of them coming on after this pod was ended (probably recorded in the same day)
great interview!!
Just got to meet garza this weekend at metal fest it was fucking awesome
Chris, with the way you talk about the creative process, I think you would enjoy the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's a modern classic for artists and creators.
here from san antonio and we stay crazy over here
King Conquer was huge for me back then. Same for Float Face Down. Decomposing normality, and Exitium Verum are such heavy fucking albums
Seeing them in a tiny ass divebar was wild. Sick tour.
THAT ORTHODOX SHIRT🔥
fuck yes these guys are one of my favorites right now! so bummed i didnt get to see them in atl.
Great to hear the San Antonio shout out we don’t fuck around down here in Texas
The Acacia Strain still has super aggressive shows. The last 2 times I saw them, full-blown fights/people dropped and carried out within the first few songs. And Vincent still constantly calls for stage dives and fans grabbing the mic from him.
Cant wait for the boys to come to australia 🙏🤞
Crazy to me that Garza didn't know king conquer or float face down. I remember those bands being legendary to me when that tour came around with aegaeon and last ten

Forgot about king conquer - loved them back in the day
Great podcast with BS, I feel like if I had a convo with the vocalist about deathcore back in the day we would get carried away for hours 💀💀. My band got to play with them back in 2016 in Chico CA. Great times Forsure

Dope band dude
Just casually says “Yeah I was in King Conquer and he was in Float Face Down” like that isn’t a big deal 😂
1:02:02 is he mixing something up here? I'm pretty sure Animosity didn't drop a new record in almost 15 years.
He was talking about SYNT. Around the time of this episode SYNT had released a new album.
glad i'm not the only one with a grudge against del taco lol
nice interview I love this band. does anyone know what band the guy on the far right is wearing? I thought it was ingested but cant find that hoodie.shits fire
