I wish more young people would do this, they really don't know what they're missing.
i was a small kid back in the 70s i played Aunt Maggie record i was sitting on the floor listening to it
They are missing a lot! Lol!
The word of love and respect is sadly gone. People don't communicate iike this anymore . The amount of disrespect,, and ego's get in the way . Share your thoughts and feelings with the ( Right Person?? . Let the stars take you were they may . God bless all the lover's that share their emotions...
You are right. ❤
I’m a 63yr old white guy, married to a Latina gal. My mom loved & was always listening to Motown Music…..This may be the greatest Love ballad ever written & sang!!
This one the best songs of its era. For sure.
Check that - one of the best songs of ANY era.
You got that right.
One of my OLD-SCHOOL favorites
#RIPAlWilson
Yes!
loved it
Oh yes
60s and 70s music was so beautiful. Today's music ain't got the same soul.
Great song from 1973. Like 70's soul?, (who doesn't!), try Billy Paul "Me and Mrs. Jones", Lou Rawls "You'll Never Find" or any Barry White song.
Great way to go from here.
or Al Green
yes, me and mrs jones. love it.
or Lennie Williams
Johnny Mathis' song.
Wow! My Pops is a singer! He would sing this to Mama and dance with her in the living room! A few moments later we’d hear, “ok y’all, time for y’all to go to bed...”! LOL. Your face was reminiscent of how Mama would look at Pops while he was singing this to her! LOL. Mama left us a few years ago unfortunately, and when riding with Pops and this comes on, he gets a tear in his eyes and a smile on his face! This truly brings back good memories!
I can't get enough of this song by Al Wilson. Put this continuous replay.
60s 70s R&B. Nothing better.
This was a MONSTER HIT in 1973, #1 quite frankly! And My #1 jamm of all time. This grown folk music right here!
One of
The best soul songs of all times and very underrated!
You're the first I've seen react to Al Wilson.....nice! He was one of my favorite personalities on the AM radio growing up. Glad to see someone givin him some love!!
Absolutely LOVE THIS!!
I was 13 in 1973 and to me this was always a perfect record. Perfect song, lyrics, arrangement, vocals...the whole package. I got to see Al perform this and met him in the early 1990s and he was very humble and kind. Rest in peace, Al. India thank you for your channel, I really enjoy it!
A great soulful artist and song 🎧🎶 a rich soothing vocal
A True Love Song, sung by a Man with a Voice that no man today can even come close to. ❤️💯🎶
Hometown hero! (San Bernardino,Ca) Rest in Peace Al Wilson.🙏
Dear God , I was 14 when this song was one of my favorites with me and my girl ! That was 50 Years Ago , Man O Man !
I was 16. Brings back old memories!
Girl, watching you react to this amazing song, had me smiling the entire time! You are a Beautiful Soul ❤️
Quite likely one of the smoothest songs of the 70s. Lush production, near perfect backing vocals, and a performer who could belt the song out there soulfully.
They don't make songs like THIS anymore what a class act pure GOLD 😎
Love the reaction👍🏽👍🏽
what stands out to me is the lush production the string section, horns, real drums the perfect tone of the backup singers they don't make many like this any more you get auto tuned vocals with digital drumbeats keyboards and stupid lyrics, that that this kind of thing isn't still being played but you really have to look for it.
....2 words perfect song 💯💯💯✔️...
Yes the arrangements is outstanding
India may God shower blessings upon you for bringing this powerful music to the fore once again and reminding Americans of what romance really is; when couples actually, uh, devote themselves to one another for life.
Man you are reacting to some great music today. This song takes me back to my early teens. Man what a great voice this guy has. Thanks for reacting to him
Great talented man! Very underrated. The Motown and Philly music was our favorites among others. We didn’t care what color, etc. All about the music touching your soul and feelings, and appreciated the raw talent back in the 60’s/70’s. True talent musicians and singers! No auto tuned!
No way. this cannot be your first time hearing this. The sweet sound of real music and singing....I bet rap never made you cry!! nuff said....
What is sad about this is that they don't make music like that anymore.
Just goes to show we had the BEST of music back then.
Enjoy watching today’s generation listening & reactions. 😄😄
Great song and huge hit in it's time

I'm so glad you discovered this gem, beautiful song and holds lot of memories for me. R.I.P. Al Wilson who left us on April 21, 2008. On January 19, 1974 this song reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for one week. Other charts had it up near the top also.. Love the variety of music India that you comment and react to. A good song to react to is THE DELLS singing THE LOVE WE HAD, STAYS ON MY MIND.

India. Wow your reaction early to the lyrics... your face said it all. @1:39 This is why I subscribe to you. More of these OLD "Oldies" please. You can't beat the sounds of the late 60's through the 70's. Classic Rock, Classic Ballads, Classic R&B, Classic Soul. This is the Real Music and Lyric's. Stuff that moves your soul and soles. Thank You for making my day. btw did you know I have an India Reacts Playlist on my channel?

Gotta love 70s soul/R&B! It transcended racial lines and genres of musical tastes!
This is such a great song

Wow the first time I heard this jam, a new FM radio station WBLS and a foxy DJ named
Vy Higginson played it. Where has the time gone...

"Girl so show me and tell me that you feel the same way too" 🕶️❣️🕶️❣️
This is a great song and it never dates...I never get fed up of it.
Oh yes!!!!!! Loving this song!!!
One of the best songs eva!! It came out my freshman year in college (EMU) and you could hear it playing out the windows of every dorm on campus. It reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for one week on January 19, 1974; it sold over two million copies and was named a Cash Box #1 Single of the Year. Billboard ranked it as the #15 song for 1974. Rest Peace Mr. Al Wilson, your song will live on forever!!
I like the music more than anything. Smooth, & nice melodies
One of myyyy favorites, love Al Wilson.. how about reacting to “I just want to get close to you” by Rose Royce
