Done 3 tours as a truck driver with madness....totally superb people and a total pleasure to work with them......love from england..
So cool.
Yeah, but they never played "Summer Holiday" by Cliff Richard.
Brilliant Stuart. Nice one guvnor
I was their driver in Luxembourg (Rockhal), sound people.
So great, Stu - I get the impression that they have a great sense of humor.. never had the pleasure to see or meet them live.. but that was my "time" -- late seventies/early eighties.. and I loved them ..
A measure of how iconic this song is Madness have sung it at the London 2012 closing ceremony and on top of Buckingham Palace
the beatles were the 60's, ELO/queen the 70's Madness were the 1980's ! brilliant.
I was 17 years old when I fell in love with Madness after hearing them sing 'The Prince'. I'm now 60 and still love Madness, I have seen them perform live twice. I couldn't when I was younger as I couldn't afford to see them.
“She’s the one they’re going to miss in lots of ways.” They acknowledge what their mom did… yes it is a British vibe.
They sung this for the Queen for her Golden Jubilee from the Roof of Buckingham Palace with the Video projected on to the front of the Palace it was Awesome!!
They played this song in person on the iconic British comedy show 'The young ones'
This song was our anthem growing up. We had a house in the middle of our street, packed full of kids, it resonated with us!
I love that song and Madness... So many good times... UK, again! Love from France 🇫🇷😘
India! So great to see you again. Love the reaction, hope you and the family are all doing well :) Madness was part of the ska revival of the 80s.
Madness had dozens of hits here in the UK , I recommend the song " My Girl " .
I so loved this song when it first came out, the care free days gone bye. It's so good to hear from you again.
It's good to see you again and a great song love my 80s music
Nice to see you back! I was a teenager through a young adult during the 80s! Some of the best music at that time. I believe Madness is a Ska band. Check out some Ska bands when you have chance.
❤️
I'd suggest The Specials, Bad Manners and of course lots more madness.
Peace, Love!
Same, there was so much variety in popular music at that time, love it
No GHOST ???!! Listen to griftwood or cirice the video by ghost they where
Masks
The line 'Our mum she's so house proud, nothing ever slows her down and a mess is not allowed' is my mom in a nutshell. Every time I hear that, I think of my mom. This past Dec 4 was 20 years since my mom passed. Thanx for this one. Now you have to do my favourite Madness song 'Bed And Breakfast Man.'
❤️ hugs to you.
My mom used to play this in the morning to wake us up and get moving on school days.
I remember this song! Loved it.
House of Fun was another big hit for Madness. They played both songs on The Young Ones TV show back in the day.
Young Ones great show...
Yes they are British. This always reminds me of Christmas. It wasn't a Christmas release but it was released in November (1983) so was on the radio just before and played throughout that time. It takes me right back to a wonderfully happy time with my parents and brother around the Christmas table. You could even say "such a happy time". Sadly only my brother and I survive. But I have very happy memories. Love from England.
Love Madness! Very ska 80's band. If you're in the mood for a fun song where getting up and dancing to is NOT an option...try the nutty boys 'One Step Beyond'. My friends and I do the 'arm dancing' thing to this day...
Great music and videos....
...the good old days.
Very good to see you back again! Yes, we overplayed this song over and over again! These guys are funny in this video! We enjoyed listening to this song as many more of their songs too! Other viewers have already mentioned some songs but it looks like you are going to react to One Step Beyond. Great I'll check it out! ☮💕
Yes British Band.
Thanks for this video. Great 80's tune.
Great to see you back India, missed you
Always loved this song. U know it's on my play list. 🤭👍
Great reaction, India! I'm glad to see you, back. I missed you! I hope that life has been treating you kindly. I hope that you got the break that you needed. Life can be too crazy sometimes. This song came out when I was a young married woman. The 1980's were very interesting years!
I love the Madness song - It Must Be Love - I was in my 20's during the 80's
My favourite Madness song Absolutely brilliant
Glad to see you back. I've missed your music reactions.
India. I'm glad your back, I've missed you. ❤
Madness was a British pop group in the early eighties, One Step Beyond that you play next was their debut song.
The Prince was their debut release 🤔😎🙌👍
Hi Ms India, I also would like to say glad to see U back. ♠W.G.
So happy to hear from ya again! During the early and dark days of the pandemic you were a bright light thank you! 😊
Yes. They are British. When I was a little kid, I loved the song and video. At that age, I could not understand why there was a train running on top of the houses at the beginning of the video. Haha.
India Still Here !! Glad to see you back !! and with Madness, how apropos.
Suggs, the lead singer, Check Him Out !! He's quite the force of Nature.
You're back! YESSS! Welcome back India
Suggs - 'In a music career spanning 40 years, he came to prominence in the late 1970s as the lead singer of the ska band Madness, which released fifteen singles that entered the Top 10 charts in the United Kingdom during the 1970s, 1980s and the 1990s, including "My Girl", "Baggy Trousers", "Embarrassment", "It Must Be Love", "House of Fun", "Driving in My Car", "Our House", "Wings of a Dove" and "Lovestruck"'.
Don't forget "Nightboat to Cairo."
And their first hit I think was "One step beyond."
Played in front of 500,000 in Brazil.
Madness from London:)
Grew up with it during the 80's love the song until today 😄👍🏻 When the dj plays it at parties, we (the old people 😉) sing along and rock the dancefloor 😅👍🏻
Suggestions for Reaction (Note that for this UK band I highly recommend to go for their official videos to get the full immersion overdose):
Madness: One Step Beyond (You won't get the refrain out of your head) =8;-)
Madness: House of Fun
India you the queen bee of reaction vids, love the emotions girl. Respect from the north east of England
So great to see you back!!! You're my favorite!!!
Every morning my freshman year in school, Mom woke me up with song.
Oh, I love this song. This one is my chosen favorite. A great video. It's already on my playlist!!! Excellent choice India.
Took me to my early teens as my cousin would blast this on the hifi... Lol
I was 9 and my cousin would also blast this in his teens... Lol god the memories.
Great song. Fun to sing along
Wow it been forever since I watched your channel I hope you've been well and your family. God bless 🙏
I grew up on this. It's my go to feel good music.
Even if some lyrics are sad and some subjects heavy, their music is always so joyful and energetic. It just makes me smile.
I remember this song from my high school days in 1983 when I was 16 years old. This was their biggest hit in the early '80's. India, Can you please maybe do a reaction to Climax Blues Band and their slow ballad love song from 1981 titled " I Love You'" since it's a beautiful love song. I know you will enjoy listening to and reacting to this great song and many other people would like to see a reaction to it also.
Madness were so funny. Good to see you again India xxx x
i remember when this band started out i love there music they have become a British Treasure. love your review👍
Something infectiously toe-tapping about Madness!
A hit in the U. S. as well. The excellent production was by Alan Winstanley.
Anyone born and brought up in a terraced house like that one, knows exactly what that song was about. Lol
Glad you're back , you've been missed
Hi India,
I haven't watched in a while.
You are looking fantastic. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it.
Your kids must be pretty big by now. I hope they are healthy and doing well in school. I hope you are finding peace inside yourself.
Although I don't find you on my "next up" list as frequently as I used to, I am always happy when I do.
God bless you, child.
Boy that takes me down memory lane. It's a long dust lane anymore. Videos was fun back then.
So cool to see you back with new reaction 🤩🤩🤩
Love your reaction film, over classic music!!! 🖤🖤🖤

First time I seen these guys was on a TV show called The Young ones back in the early eighties and it was on MTV
Loved this.. Such descriptive lyrics and they were so popular when I was a teenager.
Loved it since the beginning
Madness, aka 'The Nutty Boyz' (I'm sure you can see why🙂) had a shed load of hits here in the UK. Some of their classics include: Baggy Trousers, House of Fun, One Step Beyond, Night Boat to Cairo and many more.
Their new stuff is equally good: Try Johnny the Horse, Drip fed Fred, Mr Apples and Never knew Your Name.
You can't go wrong with a bit of Madness in your life!🤪
Such a great back catalogue, grey day, cardiac arrest, it must be love....
Glad you're back, I've missed you - The Music Loving Klingon
Ah, memories! Peace, Love!!
Thank you I have not heard that in years, now I feel old 😂
Welcome back. Missed you
Great band,great song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Madness is a British Ska band. They had a number of hit music videos on MTV in the early-1980s.
Loving the braids! Madness are a treasure! Check out House Of Fun by them as well!
Oh wow this song is wild and such memories!!!
You are back. Brilliant !!
Even though I remember the song -- and the video -- from way back when, I only now noticed that the band members at the bath house were making a visual allusion to Monty Python's "Gumby" sketches. Any other Python fans catch that?
I noticed that the first time I saw the video....so many years ago. The one thing I did just see today was "Angus Young", "George Harrison" and I think "David Bowie"....nudge, nudge, wink, wink. What do you think Mark?
You weren't imagining those other references,@@CharCanuck14 . 👍
@@twenty3enigma Did I miss anyone?
@@CharCanuck14 The band member "in drag" as the Mum might have been a nod to Terry Jones' drag characters on Monty Python's Flying Circus -- who often had the same head scarf.
@@twenty3enigma You'd think that after watching Monty Python for 50 years I would have noticed that.....lol! Thanks Mark!
Hey you’re back🙂nice to see you again💕
OH I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome back.🤟. 😱Damn I’m freaking old!😱 I was a sophomore in high school when this came out.💀
