You have transformed how I look at grocery shopping, mom life, and fitness goals. Always looking forward to your videos
Thank you!
Agreed!!
Totally agree!

Christine: “look at this amazing deal on ground beef! I had to buy it!”
Meanwhile, the entire cow chilling in the freezer downstairs: 👁👄👁
Said entirely with love, because I too would do the same thing
😅🤣😂
🤣
My favourite line was when you said ‘I don’t need milk, but for this price, I needed milk’. It’s such a great concept to stock up when it’s on sale, so when you need it, it’s not full price. Feeling the price hikes in NZ. Summer veggies were double the price, frozen blueberries have gone up a third......
My Aunt & Uncle had an egg farm and eggs are graded by weight not size. The heavier the yolk, the larger size it's given.
I am 26, and you have inspired me so much! My boyfriend and I are working on being debt free, and now you’ve helped with groceries tips. Thank you!
Love it!!
Good luck on your journey!! 😄
@@sadie6586 thank you! 😊
She is the BEST person for inspiration. I remember her saying that when they were paying off debts, they ate oatmeal for breakfast for MONTHS. They had amazing Will power 😂
@@heatherlynsey3092 LOL! yes!
The milk lasts longer because its ultra pasteurized. As a household of two I only buy ultra pasteurized milk, regular milk would always spoil before I could use it all. It does cost more than regular milk though, but not when you consider having to buy more because the older milk spoiled.
Regular milk can be removed from the plastic container before the best before date and put into clean glass jars and put into the back of the fridge and you'll get an extra 3 weeks of deliciousness minimum! I have been doing this for years. If it happens to spoil, this makes the best biscuits, sour milk gingerbread, chocolate cake....etc
I just freeze it when I buy it and defrost it as we need it. But I don't live in the USA, so maybe our milk processing is different 🤷. We also don't have such big containers. Everything is in a 1 litre container.
I tried that method but when it came to drinking it it had a funny taste!
@@cookshackcuisinista like I said I think that the pasteurisation methods might be different, we don't buy any long life milk because we find that the taste is different.
@@anaalves3658 I live in the US and freeze my milk. It works really well.
I appreciate your continued commitment to helping us plan, shop and cook well on a budget, Christine. Here in the UK food costs are also rising. Petrol is an average of the equivalent of $2.30 a litre (that's 0.21 gallons).
Thank you for the metric conversion on how much a liter is! I've been living in Ghana for the past month and seen the price of gas rise
Hi Christine! The milk last so long due to the temperature it's pasteurized at. Then the carton containers don't let light in so the quality of the isn't compromised as fast. I'm full of useless knowledge like this. I'm a weird fact junkie. 😂
Me too! I used to win constantly at trivial pursuit. 😆
@@vlmellody51 People constantly ask me, Why do you know that? 😂🤷🏾♀️
@@montessew9557 I get that too, and so does my son. Lol 😄
Never heard the part about carton vs plastic. Very interesting
Loved Tyler throwing the cheese on the pizza. I literally laughed too loudly over it. @13:30
I typically never comment on videos, but I just wanted to say I love your monthly food haul videos with the running budget! I highly anticipate them coming out each month! Thanks so much!
This video was nice. I’ve learned that with inflation going on, I need to organize my food a LOT and be very mindful of prices and how many ways can I use One meat source. I recently printed out a “freezer inventory list” and it helps a lot! I love It! With 2 chest freezers in the basement, it’s easy for items to fall to the bottom and get lost! I just Hang up the list on the freezer and check off as we go. I also now think about : ex- I bought A pack of chicken breasts. I can make chicken Alfredo, chicken noodle soup, casseroles, chicken stir fry, chicken enchiladas( insert Forest Gump scene 😆). But seriously, that’s what I do And it helps!
I love when I come home from Kroger with all marked down foods! Honestly they taste better at reduced prices! Good job with your marked down hauls!
I totally agree!
I love when the tenderloins are on markdown! I just took some out of my freezer this morning to defrost!
It's sad when I'm jealous that you found a dozen eggs on clearance for $1.15.
My Kroger stopped discounting the salad kits and other prepared produce items on the day I usually go grocery shopping and it has made be very sad. I need to figure out which day they are doing it on now. Gah! But, to cheer me up, I scored big time in the shelf-stable clearance section at my Kroger. They had multiple carts filled with discounted Chunky Campbell's soups. Say what?! Normal price for each can is usually around $3 - - - I paid only 90 cents for each can!!! WHAT?! Let's just say - I stocked up! Thank you for being my inspiration for hunting down those clearance items! :)
My 3yo watches all your videos with me and she has picked up the habit of saying 'easy peasy lemon squeezy'😂
I love watching your grocery hauls! I too have a weakness for clearance items and it is great that you show how you used them throughout the week.
Watching to reinspire myself. my grocery budget has gotten out of hand a bit since having my baby 4 months ago and having him hospitalized for rsv+pneumonia at 2 months. Feels like I've been dragging with grocery shopping. Anyone else? Still meal planning but know I need to get better with the budget again
I know these videos take a whole month to make but I LOVE seeing your deals and how your brain works seeing odds and ends to make delicious meals for your family! Please keep them coming!
I’m obsessed with Smith’s deals! The app tracks your savings now with a “ how many weeks can you save?” Gimmick and it totally works on me! 😂😂
Wow!!! You really stocked up! I guess I've been slacking on frugal shopping! I'm going to keep watching your videos to learn more about saving $ & feeding my family we!!! Thanks for sharing!
Love these videos Christine! I need to do a video like this soon. I just did a pantry cooking video series and it was so fun! I was able to make so many dinners from things I had on hand. It helped me save so much money this month!
Dont know if someone answered, but the cartons of milk have a longer expiration date because they are Ultra-Pastrurized, which means its just at a higher temp, also its not exposed to light, which can affect the quality of milk.
Work for a dairy company, as a lab tech, thats how I know.
Omg that’s my issue! Everyone jokes about how you go to target and target tells you what you need. But it’s Costco for me 😂
Those are the two people always have trouble with lol
😮 We never have good clearance food. These prices are amazing!! Love your videos 😊
I love, love, love your videos!! I have been bingeing Frugal Fit videos (yours and Dave’s) all weekend. ❤️ I found two bread outlets near my house thanks to your channel. Sadly, there are no Kroger’s or affiliate stores near me.
Jarlsberg is pronounced Yarlsberg. 🧀 😊
I'm laughing at how Tyler reached in the cheese bag and then just like dropped it on the pizza in the background. I have no idea why, but it was so funny to me for some reason.
When I was growing up in the 50s and 60s we could only buy green grapes. When red seedless grapes came out we made the switch and haven't looked back. Last summer I needed grapes for a fruit salad and was forced to buy green ones as the red ones were sold out. Yep! Still a big fan of the red ones.
Yahoo!! A Grocery Haul!! Love watching your deals you got, but also love how you own it's hard to walk away from what truly is a deal! I feel you! Thank you for your videos!! Also, we have Naan pizzas ONLY after you turned us to them!! Best ever!!😋😋💕
I love your videos! It's interesting to see how you can budget for a big family. I also come from a big family, when I was living with my mom, there was 10 of us there! This includes me and my 5 siblings, my daughter, stepdad, mom, and sisters bf. Now I just buy groceries for myself and my 3 year old. I can see I need to do better in shopping to bring down the cost. Usually my budget is $350 but I've been spending close to $500
Lol at Tyler at 13:25 on the bad chilli pun
You always find the best deals! Wish our store had those kinds of deals.
You are so lucky to have a grocery store that has a reduced price section. We have a very small area (maybe 2ft by 2 ft) in the butcher section for reduced meats.. and that's it. Most of the time, the reduced price meats are pork, which unfortunately my family cant eat.
I’m loving these videos! Not sure how I missed this the other day. Thanks for sharing with us, Christine!
Loving these monthly ‘wrap up’ videos. 👏 so so good! You are an inspiration 😁
Would love to see you cook meals. I always enjoyed your family meals!
You get more clearance deals that anyone I know. Soooo jealous! 😄
Omg those Built Bars look amazing! So jelly of the clearance items you got! I swear NONE of the stores in my area ever have clearances like these! Ever!
Organic milk costs more to produce, so in order to prevent stores from throwing out expired milk every week, organic milk is typically UHT pasteurized (ultra high temperature).
A great way to make your pizza and it's cheaper (where electricity is concerned) not to mention the heat in summer is the
Presto Pizzazz - Pizza Oven. I've had one for years and love it. Will not use the oven again. it's also great for fish, fries Etc...
I like the regular built bars over the puffs.
The milk lasts longer because it is ultra-pasteurized. Means they cook it longer.
Watching these videos have helped me with spending my money for groceries. Just wished I had the money and room for a small deep freezers.
Love your grocery hauls! Wish my store was as good. And the J in Jarlsberg is pronounced like a Y. 😉
I bake so I have flour, sugar, baking soda, oat meal, I have my baking stuff on hand all year around.
I always enjoy your savings and hauls. Thanks Christine! 😊
Thanks for sharing! Organic milk lasts longer because of the way it’s processed. It’s processed at ultra high temperatures which kills all bacteria.
Love the Grocery Haul ❤
ohhhh love this. can you do a extreme budget again soon, or show us how you save since prices are going up so bad on everything.
I wonder if you could freeze that puffy built bar and break it like a Charleston Chew.
The J in Jarlsberg is pronounced like a Y.🙂
13:30 how the kid dumped the cheese 🤣
I like the fact that you get food that can last for multiple meals for a week and still have it pass to the next and they all look filling
Great job. It’s amazing how much longer organic milk lasts.
We call that type of milk long life milk here in the uk. It's just heated to super high temperature and makes it last months. It's not just an organic thing its just UHT milk can be done with any milk.
Organic milk is ultra-pasteurized that’s why it has a much longer use by date. Just FYI!
Would love to see you rewatch a food haul video and say what you wouldn’t purchase again if it was something new or should of bought more. Like a review of what got used up and what ye struggled to eat etc
I have extended family who hunt and have a hunt camp. They do moose chili (and it super yummy) so bison chili was my first thought too! Heather xo
These hauls always make me wish I had a Kroger in my area!
I am using as many clearance items as I can. Making use of scraps for more meals. 🤤 I used leftover sauteed cabbage and green onion, with a couple tablespoons of spaghetti sauce and cheese to make a personal pizza for lunch.
You've been such a help when it comes to affordable grocery shopping, but I'm always blown away by just how cheap the food you buy is to start. If you are looking for more grocery challenge ideas, consider shopping/cooking/eating kosher for a month. You'd be shocked by the cost (since it's nearly impossible to find sales, and when you do, you don't save very much at all).
We are feeling the rising foods costs here in Canada as well.
Keep up the good work! Watching your videos will train me in how to spot the best deals.
Love the deals. Especially on the meat.
EXCELLENT price on that tubed ground beef. I would have bought some too !
Love these videos!! Might be my favorite series :)
Thank you taking the time to make videos. 🥰
I love that you bought two tomatoes for your family. And I buy like 10 for myself for a week
No black grapes are best and so so super sweet and refreshing.
Likely, the organic milk has been ultra pasteurized, and that is why it has a longer shelf life. I love your videos, keep doing what you’re doing!
Great hauls and video. Thank you!
Omg Christine you have convinced me to make a you tube channel I came up with the name and going to post my first video very soon thank you so much 😊
The milk is ultra pasteurised milk. Like UHT it heated at high temperatures sp is shelf stable :)
When I go into Costco for one thing I don't take a cart. I just lug it. Makes it much harder to impulse.
I absolutely love your naan bread pizza hack, mu kids love them aswell.. its such an easy dinner, thanks Christine 😊
You are so welcome!
I always buy organic milk and it really does last 2 months. Really! I no longer have throw milk out.
The price on that Bison was terrific. I work 12hr. Day Shifts so never get those deals you get on clearance. Great haul for that price. You did 👍.
Good to know!
Oh and it tastes so much better. I don’t know why it does, but it does.
Since styrofoam is not recyclable you can ship them back to Egglands Best. You can't do that with most styrofoam egg cartons and they just go to the landfill.
I love your channel!!
Milk freezes beautifully
Hi Christine! Love your videos!!
Christine! Your striped shirt is DARLING! Love your videos! Can't wait for the crazy pancake video. I told my mom about you and now we talk and text after every drop!
The look you got for the chili joke 😂😂😂
I enjoy all of your content but the grocery hauls are my favorite. 😃
Mine too!
Me, living outside DC *cries in food prices* hahaha Love the channel, its really helpful!
Green grapes for the win!
I think if some people aren't used to budgeting for food and buying on clearance, they may not realize how easy it is. It just takes a bit of planning. If you set aside a bit of your grocery budget, you can buy that sale chicken and clearance naan. You may have to freeze it since it's close to expiration sometimes, so you can get to it eventually. But, buy it when you can.
13:30 I wasnt even paying attention to you at all... his cheese "plop" is on point. LOL.
Christine, I love your videos! You always have great recipes, tips etc. I’ve got a funny story. I was watching one of your videos & you said “Alex shuffle songs by Charlotte “… can’t remember the last name. Anyway, I was in our bedroom resting & the door to our master bathroom was open & we have an echo dot in there. Next thing I know it’s playing songs by Charlotte … I was so surprised & it was pretty funny. I thought you might get a laugh about it!!
Such good finds! Just moved to idaho so hoping to start finding some similar deals!
Amazing finds! I agree with you that deli meat is expensive! It would be nice if my area had more grocery stores.
I learned about the organic milk from Jen Chapin’s channel. It’s double pasteurized! I’m going to start buying it because of the expiration dates. Sometimes I’ll go through a half gallon in 2 days & other times it takes a month or more.
It’s whole milk ,2%and down has sugar in it causes it to spoil faster
Green grapes are the BEST!🤷🏽♀️😁 👍🏽
The Kroger "specials/clearance " is the best! A few months ago l got those ground beef tubes were 1.00 a pound...amazing! I live really close to Kroger.
We buy organic milk because it’s ultra pasteurized so it lasts longer which is awesome
I wish my Kroger store (Bakers here in NE) had good clearance like yours! I live close to 2 of them and they RARELY have much for clearance, except highly over priced vitamins, supplements and kitchenware. I’ve tried going around 8am, 10am noon and even at 9pm to see if they were marking down for the next day!
That milk lasts so long because it's ultrapasturized, not because it's organic. We love buying the ultrapasturized on sale/with coupons because it will last well past the expiration date in the back of the fridge and for some reason we go through milk in spurts.
I’ve been during y food storage I did have a year of pantry staples but now I’ve got restock that Hugh’s pantry I had move it to my extra bedroom I spent almost 400 at sams but like you said it’s hard to leave with one items but best is my kids come by and get paper towels and toilet paper I’m glad I followed my church Presidency on food storage it’s come in handy thank you for your video I really really enjoy what you do it helps me figure out what I’m doing thank you so much have a blessed day
Omgosh- March 25th- More milk? 😘
And the asparagus looks Perfect- thin and tender!
The built puffs are my favorite
Wow what great deals! I wish we had good deals on FL. I rarely see much clearance here.
