Pumpkin Sugar Cookies | Pumpkin Cut Out Cookies | How to Decorate Pumpkin Sugar Cookies

Halloween cookies can't get any cuter. Kids and coworkers alike will love these pumpkin cookies. In today's episode I'll show you how to decorate pumpkin cut out cookies in this fun buttercream tutorial.
It's fall & almost Halloween and it's pump-kinny around here folks! Sugar cookies are one of my favorite things to bake and decorate. I've been decorating cut out cookies for well over a decade.
I've used two techniques and 3 different cookies sizes for this cookie tutorial. I used a small and medium round cookie cutter and a large pumpkin cookie cutter.

TIPS USED:
Wilton Petal tip 125 (to pipe pumpkin tops) : amzn.to/34S2R5v
Wilton Drop Flower tip 1B (to pipe realistic pumpkin cookie): amzn.to/3iX3TlU
Wilton Open Star tip 13 (for stems): amzn.to/312JK7M
Wilton Round Piping tip 3 (for vines): amzn.to/34Xb20i
Wilton leaf tip 352 (for leaves): amzn.to/2GT34NO
INSTRUCTIONS:
Pumpkin Tops using Small & medium cookie cutter cookies:
Use tip 125 and thick end should be facing out towards cookie edge. Thin tip towards the center.
Squeeze icing and gently release pressure as you move towards the center piping each petal (or pumpkin top)
Continue around cookie with a full circle
Pipe stem in brown with tip #13
Pipe vines with tip #3
Pipe Leaves with tip #352
For Regular Pumpkin Cutter Cookies:
Use drop flower tip 1B alternating sides and going with curvature of pumpkin edges.
Continue moving towards center of cookie until entire surface is filled in
Pipe stem with tip #13
Pipe vines with tip #3
