New Multiclass Endurance Race Lobbies Are Insane in Forza Motorsport

- As a Noob to sim racing, I thought I'd share my Forza Touring Car experiences, my wins, my loses and my wtf moments. I try to explain my thought process and hopefully provide you with a learning guide or useful tips.
My strategy is simple, stay alive at all cost. We all know Forza Motorsport can be a little chaotic at times. I hope with a more passive tactic, I can swoop in and take the position. While also improving my own skills as a sim racing driver.
Track learning is key, hopefully by reviewing my race choices and my mistakes, I can help others learn and improve upon their lap times. Thus making the racing world more fun and competitive.
I am using a G920 Logitech wheel, and playing Forza Motorsport on PC using Xbox Game pass.
I do hope you all enjoy the content, Racing and Sim racing is great fun and helps you escape the harsh reality of the life.

Just need people to stop quitting at the slightest mistake now. to many DNF`s in long races.

That drives me nuts. Such poor sportsmanship.
I ran a couple shorter multi-class races and in one, I was pretty competitive with a Javelin. It was making the race pretty interesting, but then he spun himself out and just rage quit instantly. It was still a fun race, but could have been better if he had stayed in.
Yeah I think that’s where the issue lies. People make a mistake and rather than taking a breath and working their way back up they rather quit and be within the top 10 in another race.
Like not every race I am perfect and I show it here. Some races do go sour and I have to claw myself back. It is what it is lol.
I think after a accident or self incident people tell themselves I was really never committed for 1 hour of straight racing so let me leave. played all weekend 85% of the lobby leaves.... there's no penalty forza doesnt have stats you can't see how many wins dnfs or even races competed in so I understand
Yeah this is exactly it bud. I understand the frustration of messing up. But it doesn’t mean you cannot claw it back. But at that moment it depends on how you’re feeling at that time lol. Sometimes it’s a little to much and hour of solid pushing does take it out of you.
That was a nail biter - I'm so happy to see the endurance races return they were so much fun when they released...and multi class!...class!

Yeah it’s amazing. Shame so many left the race though. I was wondering why I haven’t seen anyone in a while. Got a little lonely mid race lol.

From that I know the fastest strategy is 22min medium 2x and softs for the last stint. Due to the length of the track I assume there is a different strategy at LM
Yeah, from what I gathered from the Ferrari, they could only do 15 minute stints on medium, hards I braved for 30 and lets be honest i did tire save a lot and the vet is good on the tires to (is for me lol) so softs may last 8-10 minutes at a push, so that only 2 laps. its a tough judgement call to make. The length of the track really plays a part on whether you want to brave it for another 8.5 miles lol.

It’s a shame so many people quitting, really feel there needs to be some deterrent for people that do it constantly (appreciate that life will rear its head at times but going back to last endurance set it was all to commonplace to be life getting in the way) if you don’t want to put in an hour of time if not winning fine, go onto the other multi class races with shorter lengths
this is it man, I also think a lot of it is frustration taking over to man, so people quit because they think whats the point now. I think really they should be put on a waiting list to rejoin back into an endurance race. help remove the people that keep quitting for no reason

Ah yeah the infamous turn 1. I think it’s a little better in endurance but people still think for some reason that if they make it out of that corner in the top 5 that this will determine the race. No idea why lol.
@@Flashms so true! FM is a great blend of sim and arcade IMO, can't get enough. Hope you are doing well too.

i think they should tell us what tires the competitors WERE on after they pit. that might be the right idea
That's A great idea bud, least then we can gauge their plan of attack. Only thing we can go on as of now is pace and that's not exactly a reliable baseline lol
Loving these MC races. Gt4 is suffering because i think but multi is so fun. Loads of track chivalry as well
Yeah I found gt4 to be a little chaotic lol. Where as the mc races have been really calm and fair. Great racing from everyone.
Thing is it’s summer and loads of people are away while creating more lobbies just splits people further apart. Should increase again soon. I hope lol.

@Scotleaf you have a high chance of bumping into me then. I do a lot of touring car races. lol
I did my first one at my home track (Road America). I had so much fun. Issue was the lobby was small and had a few people quit within the first lap or two.
Oooo nice buddy. Bet that was a blast. Shame o do hear the lobbies seem a little small at the moment. I think really there is to much choice now. Track wise never mind race. So people are waiting for specific tracks. The quitting part is a pain though. The race is an hour long and people feel that if it goes wrong within the first few minutes they will never be able to claw it back. But anything can happen in an hour so no need to feel it may never happen. It’s a shame but frustration does take over at times.
This might not make some people happy, but i think that they should make you lose points as a punishment for quitting too early
@xXVibrantSnowXx I think a lot would agree with you. There should be a level of punishment. But again people would find a way to bypass that. Such as pulling the plug to their console so they get a “disconnect” rather than quit but it needs addressing
Based on my testing on Suzuka and Hakone this night I'd say you can rely on softs for 12 mins of racing and hards for 24 mins of racing. For me this equals a 2 stop strategy with any variation of 2x hard and 1x soft. In my lobbies that beat out the rest.
Alot of people leaving the races it seems. Happened in yours and both of mine. Seems like alot of the people who join endurance cant get over early setbacks, or just plain disconnect during the race. Its s shame, cause the actual racing in this series is 🔥

yeah that sounds about right bud, although suzuka is much harder on tires than le mans.
Yeah i think the early setbacks cause the worst issues, they see you 10 -12 seconds away and think they will never catch up, so why bother, when really all it takes is one mistake and their back behind you.
its a little better lol, need a new chair, this one is a little worn out lmfao. Well i had to share it, room was getting hot and bothered lol.
I did two races, one in Silverstone, one in Harkone. In Silverstone 3x medium seems to be the best strategy by far, even it gets a bit sketchy at the end.
With the #92 Porsche 911 tire wear was 5% / 7% / 12% with mediums about 2s faster per lap than hards.
On Harkone I did not have the time to test and were too conservative with 3x hards (just got minor wear at the end of each stint). Next time I'll try starting with 2x mediums and than go for either hard or medium + soft at the end.

LMFAO, yeah I must say I did not want to lose. That would be a little embarrassing. Shame the others quit though. I mean a load of people quit looking at the race results which is a shame.

That is true, and like you saw in my video, people do quit out of frustration to which is a shame. They have every chance of clawing back the time they have lost.
Everyone is different and 1h of zero interruption is hard to get these days lol
@@Flashms Yes tbh we often has this 1 or 2 guys in the lobby who are aliens which can be frustrating, but if you start a race you should finish it. Maybe they should penalize the rating for quitting 🤣
Yeah that is true, a lot of times saved is by keeping away from the chaotic first corner and bottlenecking. While i do agree with the idea of a penalty for quitting sometimes it cannot be helped. So not sure what the best course of action is to fix that.
Why did the race finish on timer and not after crossing the line of that lap?
Because the only way for multi class to work on forza is to time the race rather than have a set number of laps. It’s a little funky to be honest bud
Yes had this last night at full nords only 2 of us finished the rest quit because they were so far behind

It tells you how many laps the racew will be , 16m 4laps in the tire change menu and at the menu selection. If you in the lead or close to it u will finish on the 5th lap somewhere if it was 4 lap rac4e
Yeah that’s fine but you still have to remember how many laps you have done during the race. This race was an hour long and after a few laps you lose count. There is no reason as to why it doesn’t show you how many laps you have done up to now. Instead we have to rely on other tactics such as during the pits or counting ourselves.
@@Flashms u just have to look at the time, u can tell how many laps left by the time left , if 4min 30seconds left and it takes u 2min 10 seconds on average to complete a lap on that track and track configuration than u know u only going to have 2 laps left and a few feet before times up. At least that's how I been keeping track and haven't had an issue yet with any of the tracks going by that method
@gamersplaygroundliquidm3th526 yeah I get that bud. Sometimes I don’t pick the best of locations to calculate what lap I am. Instead of thinking about it on a straight bit road, I pick sections that have corners where you should be thinking about cornering rather than doing the maths lol. Perks of how my mind works lol. Still a simple hud update would alleviate all of that.
@@Flashms yeah forgot your racing the endurance races lol , I mean the math still works out just more of a pain to figure out quickly. I was just skimming the forums and I guess they are working on a lot of UI upgrades and adjustments still so hopefully that will be one , I'm sure it will be added sooner than later.
Ohh wanted to ask, have you noticed how much better sound quality seems to be getting? I noticed on a few tracks last night I could hear ambient noises a lot better , and the sound of other cars roaring in the distance on another part of the track I never was able to before.
I know that the guy who did all the sound for Forza 3-6 and some on 1,2and 7 came back to the studio last month to specifically "do his magic" and remaster and redo and whatever else it takes to get each car to sound unique and more to its real life counterpart. I'm wondering if he already started making adjustments to some stuff because I started noticing little things are sounding better and different than they did before ...
ahahhaha yeah it does come to a point where the mathematic calculation starts to take longer than a lap lmfao.
Yeah i am sure it will be added to, its not game breaking or nothing, just more of a handy feature to have. so I am not to worried at the moment.
OOO i thought that was a bug, like i was at spa the other day and there was a point at spa where i could hear another car, but nothing was there. I mean it was loud in my ear and it was in the exact same place lap after lap. Again no cars around. So i presumed it was a bug.
Yeah i heard the same thing, that they have brought back the sound guru. I am not sure if they sound better than before, I have not noticed that really. I do feel the audio sounds clearer is certain cases. Again not sure if any changed have been made as of yet though. Could be our imagination or improvements may have been made. Honestly I cannot tell you that i have noticed besides the odd sound such as spa where i thought it was a bug.
This significantly crushes GT7 online modes.
It was an amazing race buddy, i cannot lie and I do hope it portrays in the video. The only downside was the amount of people that did quit, It did get a little lonely out there lol.

@@Flashms only thing FM really needs to do is track personal stats. Showing all your Top 10’s, Top 5’s , Podiums and wins. I wish they put that in the game because it would be nice to look at your personal statistics.
hahaha yeah man, i have been asking for this since the beginning. Like make a leader board and base it of the fastest race time, along with more personal stats showing your average position etc etc. Needs a little more depth.
In real life and in FM4 the finish was as it supposed to be.. (Time + finish line - white flag)
When the leader of the race (all classes) finish, the end timer starts,
and then when you cross the finish line the next time after that, the race finish.
So #Turn10 only had look ate FM$ to see should it should be done.
Another thing missing is lap times (And fastest lap IMO) and the arrows should be a different color if someone is behind you from a different class (IMO) Then it easier to identify if you have to defend or not..
I welcome back Multiclass, but they missed a few things, so room for improvement (Hopefully)
Ow yeah, they should limit each class to 8 drivers to get a equal split and they should fill it up evenly.
The only exemption should be when you join with friend that you are placed in the same class with them.
This was an issue on FM4 also..

yeah the race should have finished at the white line, as you say, which really did throw me off a little. Its kinda jarring finishing mid lap lol
Yeah you are right, we need a proper leader board to show times and what lap we are on, for me it did feel kinda lonely off as i had no idea on pace, or how many laps i have completed.
Yeah, they should limit each class, i did read someone did make a good point, others will leave if they do not get their class. SO to fix this you should click the event you want to race, choose car and then it should choose your lobby, not lobby then car. That would fix that issue.

Totally agree with that, choose before enter will make sure ppl can drive what they like and otherwise find another lobby.

I have been hearing a lot of people saying this. So I am not to sure. Still at the end it wasn’t all that populated lol I raced in the evening time so that may have helped.
Next week another community race?

@@Flashms Ok I understand ,just from my experience that would make the endurance races a lot better if everybody had practice of course. But it‘s true it is more limited.
Not to say it wont happen bud, just have to see what the moment is like and play it by ear

The issue is,it’s still forza… the way the cars drive is pure ass
They do need turning a little to much to name them drivable. Besides that there has been improvements.rwd needs more find tuning though
A crap game made by a thieving company. Iracing and ACC are so much better sim games. Pure skill in those games, Better everything. This is an arcade game 100% these channels need to stop being mouth peices for Turn 10 and Microsoft. This games sucks. The driving is just not real. And I shouldn't have to buy a third party app for setups. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS GAME. YOUVE BEEN WARNED.

Forza Motorsport such shit game because I don't understand how they NPC car's are so much faster the actual players car's I do play do play Forza Motorsport all my racing cars have no restriction on the engine but my car's are still slow on the on the straight and even on the corners to I really don't understand it how can NPC car's so fast this why Forza Motorsport is scam racing game
I did a video on the ai previously to this video bud. The rabbit hole is pretty funky not going to lie. The ai is so all over the place that it’s right down to the base coding that the funky ness begins. I get what you’re saying bud. Online is far far better. The ai is worse than old need for speed games lol. Check out my previous video and you can see what goes on. I had one person make a good point. It’s all down to calculations and how the closer you get the more calculation the ai has to do. The more they get confused. But from a distance. They drive like their on rails because all they have to do is follow the line at Mach 2 lol.
