- My clients had a new pool installed and it is near impossible to install a new pool in the exact location of the old pool without moving the deck to clear up some space. In this video I extended the deck in order to close up the gap. Just need to stain the new boards to match the old ones. Hope you enjoy.
Thanks Anthony!!!! We had to relevel are pool, and we left to much gap on one side. I am glad I found your video.
I don't think most people who watch this understand just how good of a craftsman you are. This was a treat to watch. I hope one day to know half of what you know about carpentry. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
I want to thank you soo much for your creativity on how to fix issue! We followed your idea and worked perfect! We’re back in business 😁
Nice deck extension
Why not actually frame this out since you can get underneath, and add some joists on hangers? This is an accident waiting to happen.
Nice work
Thanks Gary
Thanks for the idea 💡 on pool decks
You have me believing I can really do this! 😅
Nice work and great idea!
Excellent Job and very helpful to my customers, may I share with your credit?
Thank you very much, you can absolutely share this!
It’s a nice job, but with the boards so close to the pool, it will be difficult to put the cover on for the winter.
More difficult will be changing the liner when all of those top caps have to be taken off from screws that are in the back bottom of those to reach the top plates underneath. I change liners, and can’t stand when people do decks like this
I have the same problem with my deck. We put up a new pool by the old deck and it left a gap. Wasn’t sure if there was a way to fix it.
It’s a very nice job, but with the boards so close to the coping it will be hard to get the cover on for the winter.
Plenty of room to sneak a cover in there. That is how I did mine when the hacker that installed my new pool rushed through without taking any measurements. If not, a dozen screws pulled and a few rips will solve the problem. Beautiful job.
I had similar problems when putting the cover in wintertime the only option I had is to raise the deck 6 inches above ground pool but good pick!
What if hinges were used for the end board at the supports, so you could flip the board up when putting on the cover? I'm having this same dilemma and haven't added the deck boards to my frame yet.
As someone who changes liners, I can’t stand when people do decks like this. They don’t understand how hard it is to get those top caps off that has to be unscrew on the backside while complaining that they don’t want the deck taken apart either
Yeah, because you guys won't take an extra 15 or 20 more minutes to do it right. Every pool installer I have had came in with a "time is money" attitude, screw quality and the customer. The only install that ever came out right, I did myself.
Um, not to sound like a jerk but, how you getting the cover on? Just asking.
Nice 👍🏻
I wish you live in NJ I’ll asked you fix my pool deck! 😊
I'm in jersey looking for the same thing. If you find someone send me the referral please.
Thumbs up
How dovyou close itcwith cover at thatvpoint
Bad, how can you cover your pool in winter when you have no gaps between the pool and the deck?
i need those plastic stairs! what brand is that?
How do you put the winter cover on ?
i was going to say the same thing. It was a great job but should leave a gap space to slide your hand to be able to get a cover under the side.
I drilled those retractable inground cover holders into my deck that you use for an inground pool, works great
How did you figure out the correct angles?
I ran the boards parallel to the pools boarder and then bisected the angles and used an angle finder to repeat the angle on the next board.
