  • Discover this brazen Monastery in the desert of Egypt, this is a hidden gem that very few know and I am so glad and thankful to the priests who opened the gates of this monastery in the desert just for us !
The Monastery of Saint Fana is a Coptic Orthodox monastery. It is named after Saint Fana, also known as Bane (c. 354-395), Coptic Christian hermit. The monastery is sometimes called the Monastery of Abu Fanah and is also known as the Monastery of the Cross, due to the presence of many beautifully decorated crosses inside its church.
The 12th-century historian Abu al-Makarim mentions the church of Saint Fana, which was restored by al-Rashid Abu Fadl.[2] Egyptian historian of the 14th-15th century al-Maqrizi wrote about the monastery's fine architecture.[3]
The history of the Patriarchs of Alexandria mentions the monastery of Saint Fana twice, first in relation to the election of Pope Theodosius III of Alexandria of the Coptic Orthodox Church, 1294-1300 and second to the childhood of Pope Matthew I of Alexandria, 1378-1408.
In pre-Islamic times, the monastery reportedly numbered some 1000 monks. The monastery's numbers had drastically dwindled before the arrival of Islam in the seventh century. Al-Maqrizi reports that during his day, the monastery held only two monks. The French Jesuit priest Father Michel Marie Jullien (1827-1911) reported that the priest of the neighboring village Qasr Hur had cleared the church of debris and used the church for the Divine Liturgy.[4]
When German scholar Otto Friedrich August Meinardus visited the monastery in the 1960s, the place was in ruins with remains stretching over a wide area. Only the historical church survived. Pieces of gray granite were also found, suggesting that the monastery may have been built on the location where an ancient temple once stood. On a small hill stand the ruins of a qasr, or tower, which ancient monasteries had. Approximately 80 meters from the ruined monastery one finds the cave of Saint Fana, the location where he reportedly lived. Meinardus does not report on the monastery being inhabited.[5]
The surviving old monastic building consists of an ancient basilica, deeply sunk into the sand in the center of a vast mound that, according to the Coptic Encyclopedia, "no doubt" conceals the ruins of the Monastery. The neighboring mounds perhaps conceal isolated cells or hermitages.
Even if we discover Egypt in 2021 and the Golden Parade in Cairo make sure to visit the pyramids of giza and the sphynx, you will find out if egypt is dangerous and what to do in Cairo

@@diannechathurangaatukorele4530 They did conquer and destroy some religious sites, but once they fully conquered, they had a tax on the Jews and Christians, which over time led to many converting, some did by the sword too, but yeah

The word "ICON" is a greek word and translates as - "Image".
For the icon to have the power of guidance, defense, etc. it must be sanctified with the prayer of the orthodox priest. There are also sorcerer and wizard icons with enchantments on them. The icon must be purchased only from the monastery or church and not be recieved as gift. The word "grace" translates as "the right given by Jesus Christ to priests to offer prayers of release, baptism, eucharisty, etc.", grace can only have the priest and not a icon or anyone else.
Today in the "modern" world the sorcerers remained in every city. The akathist read by the priest with untiying prayer to St. Cyprian and st. Justine defends from all sorcery charms and all demons deeds. And when you intend to go to command the akathist in the church, such thoughts may appear: "Maybe tomorrow, or next week", "Maybe I'm such a freak and no one is watching me (girls or boys, if you can not find a pair, or you can for some reason speak only with the same girl or boy.)", "The life is this way with good times and bad times", " I am so(if you have impotence)". etc. These thoughts come from demons from sorcery spells because only the prayer of the priest can untie the sorcery spells and they make everything possible that you not go to church to escape from witch spells. Jesus Christ told to the apostles (which were the first priests)"I give you the right to untie everything that is tied in heaven and on earth.".
This akathist to st. martir Ciprian and st. martir Justine you can command at any orthodox church if you are baptized orthodox.
Entering(submersion 3 times with a short prayer and crossing yourself) in water springs of orthodox saints(which are near or in monasteries)give very much power and sureness to people with depression, panic attacks, Tourette sindrom, schizofrenia and other soul illnesses before getting to the eucharisty that heals all soul illnesses. There are some springs of mother- st.Mary of God that also heal all soul illnesses. Soul illnesses can be enherited or from sins. If to cure lechery the prostatitis may disapear.
