Superbe endroit très peu connu. On pense toujours aux pyramides, aux temples du sud et aux tombeaux, moins au fait que l’Égypte est aussi un des pays où le christianisme s’est développé. Ces monastères rappellent d’ailleurs que le christianisme oriental a sa propre identité.
