I sold some clips through Wirestock, but they have gotten too expensive recently and so I switched to Pond5. The difference is doing the titles and keywords. So far no sales, but it's probably just a matter of time. New subscriber here.
My system is I contribute to Shutterstock first to use their keyword finder. Then I copy/paste those keywords into the Batch Edit keyword field in Pond 5. I add commas between keywords, set other parameters like price, date, location, title, etc., save, then copy/paste captions from Shutterstock. Save for review. Easy.

Considering that you said you uploaded so many videos 3. What length are you videos usually? 4. What camera you use? Have you tried filming with the smartphone? Are you using Stringr? After I looked at your portfolio I def say you are leaving some cash on the table. I have done pretty decent with them. They have rules, took me a while to figure it out as it is not really a micro stock agency but works the same way, kinda.. but you are pretty savvy so you won't have any troubles. Michael, thanks for the great video and your honesty. What camera did you use for your footage, for example, the kids on BMX bikes? I can see its news value but today's news is tomorrows.. well, just an ordinary video clip. ON Pond5 I noticed that your clip data rate seems a bit low (15.2 MB for a 10sec HD clip). A similar length clip on Pond5 in HD has 158 MB file size. As you would know, high compression cause artefacts and noise. Shutterstock is very fussy about it as they want to sell high-quality stuff to their clients. No disrespect but if I was a customer I will think twice about buying clips with such small sizes. Correct me if I am wrong. Very helpful video otherwise. Thank you for sharing.
Keep your video short and reduce the bitrate to 10k so their file-size is greatly reduced and can be uploaded, downloaded and can be intergrateed onto websites better. 👍
20% gross commission if any of her clips sell via paypal on the 15th when Pond5 pays me. In the future probably be better to just pay talent a fee for full copyright, for now been doing that with collabs.
Do you have videos on lighting, techniques, editing, Metadata, etc? I did a little bit with Blackbox years ago. I want to get back into it, but without Blackbox.
So I am new to stock footage and my first attempt got me 3 out of 40 video clips approved, LOL....my second attempt got me 23 out of 40, would this be considered good , should I keep putting more vid's on SS, or should I move on to Pond 5? It was a daunting task to re do the keywords and THEN find the little 3 buttons to copy and paste, Ha!

Does that me they can come after me later ? and i will continue to pay infinitely ? as English was my first language and this is the first time going to be using stock cos i always worried about the vocabularies used . Pls help... i just one to buy and begun with no attachment or getting my video pulled down by youtube.
