Great content man, what are your thoughts on the steam recent reviews tanking to mostly negative, is the UI really that bad ? (Seems to be most of the complaints that ive seen)
I was about to leave a comment about this! Are you going to treat this coming video the same as the video that you made about, 'The BEST PvP Settings in Hunt: Showdown in 2023"? Like the comparisons you made with low medium and high settings and what the game looked like?
even after 1000 hours the offset crosshair always felt weird. I switched to centered and didn't even need time to adjust. It was just instantly better.
100% the same for me. I love Hunt (similar play time) but I've lost countless duels due to shooting too low. Skill issue on my part, I know, but it's a lot more natural to aim with the centered lol.
"Falling backwards" is the EXACT description of the feeling I had when starting off with Hunt with lowered crosshair and I could never explain what made me feel uneasy with it.
Weirdly enough the lowered crosshair was one of the main reasons I stopped playing. I am excited to see if I enjoy the game more now that it does not feel so off center while playing
Bro when i started the game gave me SERIOUS migraines, and it was bc of the lowered crosshair (i have dizziness issues). It took me like 1 month to adjust
It's just a matter what you are used to. I had exactly the same, but after a bit of time on the shooting range I quickly adjusted to the centered one. If I switch back now, I unconciously aim aim to low
While I can see your point about aiming at the ground when moving, I never really noticed it until recently when I explicitly paid attention to it... I don't know, centered feels so weird to me and the weapon takes too much space on the screen (for my taste at least) that I'll stick with the lowered crosshair. I find myself rarely getting killed by people below my screen or by traps that where hidden by it that I don't really want to lose the screen space above my aiming point. But I'm glad that people are happy with the addition of the centered crosshair. :)
I'd recommend trying centred for a few games and seeing how you feel after that. I didn't like it at first either, but I persisted and after only a couple hours of playing it feels almost completely normal, and I now prefer it
There's no situation where you want to see more of the sky. Even if there's a beetle above you, it's way more awkward to look up with a off center crosshair and lose all bottom vision. Also the beetle is so loud that it's not relevant to constantly see the sky, you will hear it anyway.
I'm so glad they added this option, I've been wanting to play this game for YEARS but always couldn't because of that I'm so happy that they did this I m 100% gonna buy it in the next coming weeks as soon as they fix the new bugs!!!
same. back when i tried it out about 2 years ago i was constantly wondering why i always shot into the ground 2 meters infront of the enemies when i tried to do aimed flicks.... then i realised why. looked up if i could change it, couldnt change it.... uninstalled immediately. now im back and i really enjoy the game.
Since Hunt ist my first shooter (except for one other we don't mention here, mistakes were made lol) and I learned to play with the lowered crosshair I'm sticking to it, but I can imagine that it's a big relief for those who were used to centred crosshair and then started Hunt.
I absolutely agree and have talked to friends about lowered cross hair feeling weird. When I properly prepare for head level, I often feel like my hunter is leaning backward. If I leave it to feel normal, when I ADS I am staring at the ground. For this reason, I will absolutely be trying centered cross hair for a while to see if, overall, I prefer it. Time will tell for sure, but in the end, I might even force it upon myself.
Your second to last reason is exactly why I wanted to switch. I always had my head slightly down when running around and had to flick up somewhat because of the lowered crosshair. It was fine and I played thousands of hours like that but centered is more universally normal. I switched.

For someone that doesn't exclusively play Hunt, it's easier to get back into the game after playing different shooters. Like mentioned at 1:35 i always had to adjust not running around with the center of the sreen where i want to aim, because you'd aim at the floor when adsing. One of the best additions they have made imo.
I have tried centered for a few hours at different points and even though i have over 20k hours between counterstrike and battlefield, the lowered seems to offer me the best visibility. It seems more often the case in Hunt that you want to see more above the horizontal center of screen than below.
I've been playing video games for over 20 years now and I'm VERY used to centered crosshair in FPS games. Hunt was different for me because of the lowered view, which, while didn't really impede my aim or ability to kill, always felt off despite getting used to it. Having the option to center my crosshair is definitely up my alley, especially since the viewmodels look so dope when centered.
Personally I'll keep the lowered crosshair because I feel it's easier to learn to be aware of traps than to manually check every upper position where an enemy could pick you, especially on the new map which is a lot more vertical than the others. I also like the uniqueness of having a lower crosshair, idk why but I like it
Very good explanation. I initially thought I was going to like centered more, but hoping in I instantly felt like I was missing that vertical visibility. Swapped back to traditional and it feels great. Like you said, I think it's mostly a personal preference thing that I'm very glad got added to the game.
Centered - and you actually demonstrated it perfectly running in the tunnel I couldn't put my finger on it but as you say, I would run "naturally", then when I ADS I'm looking down. Much prefer the centered!
I also switched to centered. The reasons are partly the same as yours. Often after the race I aimed into the ground. Until I had pulled up the weapon, I was often the first to die. I also think that it looks better when you see more of the hands and the skins. After all, money was spent on it. The third reason I would like to mention is habit. As a console player from other shooters in the past, I'm also used to playing centered. I got along with lowered in Hunt but wished for this change 3 years ago. I am therefore very happy about this change
5k hours, switched too. Not only everything you mentioned, but my posture made me lift my monitor, so the crosshair was centered. Feels more natural for me all the way around so far.
The screen space taken by the weapon in centered mode is insane with some weapons... but yeah, watching out easily for traps while traversing is nice, and most of all, I'm playing quite a few different FPS, and having an offset crosshair in Hunt only always messed with building cross-over muscle memory for Hunt. Now it feels more natural when switching games. Much better.
I'll put it this way: when the crosshair is centered, you look at the ground while running, but with an offset crosshair, you're still looking at the ground, but you see more.
I have been playing CS since 2005, so the center feels more familiar and better to me. I also always kept my crosshair roughly in the center, as I was trained in this style in CS, adapting to the center in just one 20-minute game.
@@user-oc5se4lw4s Nah that's actually false information. With centered crosshair you actually see less. The top gets cut the same amount the bottom is now visible BUT you actually have more gun and hand on your screen. EDIT: However for most guns this is not much at all
@@ebenezerscrew Yeah came here to say this. With lowered, I can look down and see more of everything. It really likely is insignificant though, and being able to see nearly the same amount with your crosshair closer to head height via centered crosshair is probably a more significant advantage.
As someone that likes to play multiple games, every other games have centred crosshair. It always felt natural and normal for me to go that way, I played almost 900 hours of Hunt so I got used to it, but with the arguments in this video, I'll probably try centred in Hunt too, and most definitely will stick to it !
I always find myself having to adjust my ADS really aggressively when I go from just looking to aiming so I am excited to try centered crosshair for the more consistent gameplay feel especially across all my other games.
Currently I haven't even tried centered. Hunt is the only FPS I play so I'm not concerned with muscle memory and with all the verticality in this new map, it seems beneficial to see more above me than below me. However, I'm gonna test the thing where you're aiming at the ground. If that's really how I tend to position the camera, I might try centered as well.
Centred is the way forward. With all the changes regarding tripwire placement, I appreciate being able to see more of the lower part of the screen. Not to mention your own findings, such as the more natural feeling and snap aim to the centre
I can see all the benefits from centered crosshair (especially the ADS), however, I just can't get used to the "bigger" weapon. It's so distracting for me despite my hardest efforts. Thus, I think I will stick to my lowered crosshair option...
Yeah, I also got used to it not being centered but after this video I shall digress and constitute another path of hunting, invoking the inevitability of centering the crosshair.
Sticking with lowered for now; might adjust to centered later. I run around as you do, but have it ingrained in me to raise my crosshair like I'd raise my weapon when I go to shoot.

Pause at 1:48 and then at 2:03 and tell us that you still believe they are both in the middle of your screen. OP made a very valid point and as someone who plays basically every FPS that ever releases, centred immediately feels more natural to me also.
In 1896 lowered feels being even more lovered than it was, that`s why it was weird for me to switch on it after centered and i went back to centered and feel ok about it. The only complicated thing about that is aiming when trying to prefire when the enemy is below you) But it`s more about knowing the map
ive been playing hunt since launch and i also switched to centered immidiately, just feels way more natural, i also used to run with centered screen aiming down so now its better for adjustments when preaiming corners
Lowered gives me old-school Halo 2 sniper vibes, always preferred the look of it, especially when playing with Hunter aim preset where I can see more of the screen.
Before i started playing hunt 2 years ago i probably had like 15k hours in Cs, Bf and COD alone. It was always weird to play with a lowered crosshair. Finally centered crosshair is here
Im using lowered but I also grew up with it that way. Halo 2,3,reach was were I probly sank the most of my time as an FPS gamer. it makes it legit hard to play centered cross hair in other games for me. iirc the devs back then (halo 2 days) that they had lowered because it was shown alot of people look at there feet when traversing, so it was to let you watch the ground were you walk without loosing yoru forward FOV
Pretty much every other first person shooter has a centered crosshair and with just that fact alone, it instantly feels much more natural to switch to that in Hunt. Not really sure why it was ever that low to begin with, honestly. Not sure if that's more realistic to how our FOV in real life is or not, although I think centered is actually more like real life, but I could be wrong.
The lowered crosshair never bothered me but now I will try centered just to see if it works for me. Looking at the exact center of the screen feels a little bit more natural than looking below it so it kinda makes sense to have my crosshair right there.
thanks for the explanation rachta! i think its going to be hard at first, but changing to a counter strike aim its seems the best for shooting, otherwise its just for looking the really nice environment they have created :D
I was so wigged out when I booted up Hunt for the first time after the update. My screen felt squished with the gun model. I never even noticed the lowered crosshair when I started playing Hunt years ago. After a few hundred hours someone told me and I was surprised I’d never noticed it before. I’m sticking with lowered. I definitely prefer it

Never had an XBOX, although Halo 2 was one of the first FPSs I ever played back in middle school (on another person's console). I wonder if that wired my brain for lowered crosshairs since it was one of my first FPS experiences

@@s_jakey Oddly enough I put around 1100 hours into R6 Siege (the vast majority being pretty sweaty) before Hunt, but admittedly, that game isn't as aim intensive as something like CS. I spent most of that 1100 hrs learning maps and tactics (that's been very helpful in Hunt actually), and trying to make my gun skills serviceable. I did a fair amount of aim training as well though. For whatever reason, I just don't really notice offset crosshair placements it seems. I just make it work. Now though, I'm so used to it in Hunt that I can't get rid of it. Brains and perception are interesting
I'm keeping mine lowered for now. I'm just so used to it by this point. I also really dislike how much screen space is taken up by weapons with the centered crosshair as well, and the ability to see window peekers better is very valuable to me. I might change at some point, if I feel that floor things are more of a problem in 1896. But for now I'm keeping it as-is.
It's definitely a disadvantage not seeing above you as much with centered crosshair, but the benefits outweigh the negatives, at least in my case! Centered feels much more natural and in line with other FPS games that I play.
I've gotten used to the lower crosshair in hunt. It put me off initially but I kind of leaned into the quirk. I like to think that i've got my gun ready, but just lowered to the ground so I can see. I've become used to bringing up the sight to my eye/horizon level as if i'm starting to take an aimed shot irl. Not really interested in being efficient with my aiming and shooting when I'm having more fun being a bounty hunter in a weird demon spawn zone. Otherwise I remember back to when HALO initially shipped with the lowered crosshair to make visibility easier for their more verticality focused map design. With Colorado being a very vertical and mountainous map, i think its fitting to have the lowered crosshair for the same reason. Lack of downward visibility is definitely a problem. Still stepping on traps that I'm not paying attention too. lol.
I respect that they tryed something different with the lowered crosshair. It makes a lot of sense for understanding head peaking. But centered is just better for playing
oh my god this explains why whenever I aim in with my crosshair its slightly higher than I'm used to because I've had to readjust the slight difference in height

I'm surprised you favour centered. I tried it for a little bit and just felt so wrong. Too much weapon on screen. I prefer more visibility above too, especially on the new map. Maybe i'd need time to adjust, but I also aim way above people's heads.
Because there's more of your gun obscuring your screen, you physically get less space which is what some people can't seem to understand, and on the new map, verticality will be king, especially pushing into compounds and on the hillsides.
I never liked the off center crosshair, especially because i played so many fps games and they are 99% centered. You said it best, is so intuitive to center your camera to the actual center of the screen even while not aiming, is just natural for the eye to always be symmetric, that's why i never understood why they went with off center crosshair and especially they never added the option, until now
I'm sticking with lowered for now, I couldn't aim well at all when I center it, but hunt is the only shooter I really play. I might eventually change but esp with how many mountains are on the new map, I like better visuals above me too.
My playstyle is usually getting in a position and scanning a wide area watching for movement so I think I'm going to stay with lowered, being able to see over the top has always just been what I'm used to
I'm sticking with Lowered because it's what I'm most naturally used to at this point, my screen positioning kinda adjusts based on what game I'm playing, so I always had the raised "Falling backwards" Sorta crosshair placement for hunt, I'd rather stick to what I know

I surprised you're switch after 100 billion hours. I switched to centered and I feel a significant difference in my performance, already. All my legacy experience from other FPS games immediately transfered to centered crosshair
The only real downside to centered is that your weapon view model takes up more of your screen. This isn’t a problem when you’re running around or in hipfire, but there is quite a difference when you’re adsed. When you’re adsed in centered you basically have half your screen for looking around, whereas with lowered you have 2/3-3/4 of your screen to look around. I didn’t like centered when I tried it, but I might try it again. I obviously don’t have a problem with the centered crosshair in any other game, I just think the view models in hunt for the centered crosshair are particularly big compared to those in other games. Especially while adsed it feels like my gun took up way more of the screen than other games.
i feel like lowered is better because realistically speaking, very few people actually look up and down when playing an fps game. Its why people hate maps with alot of verticality in competitive games like csgo or valorant. So having a lowered crosshair that enables more fov of the sky just seems really good especially in a game like hunt where there is alot of verticallity in most landmarks.
I've been one of those people who advocated for this change but received a lot of feedback and backlash from the community and the devs seemed set to keep it lowered. Glad they decided to change their mind and implement it, switching between games has never been easier and it's a day and night difference for me, I can finally shoot where I intend to shoot without doing big comical flicks up to actually hit any headshots or spending 15 min on shooting range to get used to it. You required more time to get used to lowered crosshair, now it just comes naturally. Centered crosshair all the way, no contest here unless you are just too used to lowered crosshair. Use centered crosshair + hunt sensitivity calculator for every aiming type for a consistent and reliable muscle memory. Not a pro by any chance with 500h but I sucked at Hunt and this improved my skills for the best.
I played a lot in this game and I always sucked. Couldn't hit my shots, and lost many games. I still played it cuz of the vibes. But when this option came I instantly got better. Almost hit all my shots. Problem wasn't me. It was the cross air. Now I'm having so much fun with the game itself rather than just it's aesthetica

Mine switched from lowered to centered after the update. I messed around with it but it felt uncomfortable so I went back to the old way. I'm going to spend some more time with centered. Give it a good month or so and see if I like it.
Each time i play a shooter i actually tend to look into the ground way more than i should and then when somebody peaks me it takes me longer to aim at their head. It's one thing my friends give me s**t for in counter-strike for example. In Hunt however it's not really an issue and i feel like like the crosshair is positioned way more naturally for me
The moment they announced it I knew I was gonna switch to centered. You're looking down more than you're looking up in my opinion, you can see more of your legendary hunter/weapon and I might even be able to see traps too for once!
I personaly would've prefered it if there was only one option so everyone competes on the same conditions. Even though I like how the lowered crosshair made the game feel more unique, the advantage of not having to readjust aim is simply an improvement to overall gameplay.
I switched to centered and it took me all of 1 match to adjust and I immediately get more snap shot head shots than I ever did before. I still melee over dome zombies heads, though, because I'm used to aiming up higher. Lol

My experience as well. I've been landing more headshots, because I'm placing the crosshair at head height a bit more naturally.

It sucks when games don't give you the option.. Destiny 2 didn't allow you to change it for the longest time..

its like he said tho. it does take up more of the screen but it dosnt show less then what u would see without centered. its just a feeling of it
Best of both worlds would be being able to edit view model like in CS

@@user-oc5se4lw4s Nah that's actually false information. With centered crosshair you actually see less. The top gets cut the same amount the bottom is now visible BUT you actually have more gun and hand on your screen. EDIT: However for most guns this is not much at all

It really likely is insignificant though, and being able to see nearly the same amount with your crosshair closer to head height via centered crosshair is probably a more significant advantage.

As someone that likes to play multiple games, every other games have centred crosshair. It always felt natural and normal for me to go that way, I played almost 900 hours of Hunt so I got used to it, but with the arguments in this video, I'll probably try centred in Hunt too, and most definitely will stick to it !
I always find myself having to adjust my ADS really aggressively when I go from just looking to aiming so I am excited to try centered crosshair for the more consistent gameplay feel especially across all my other games.
Currently I haven't even tried centered. Hunt is the only FPS I play so I'm not concerned with muscle memory and with all the verticality in this new map, it seems beneficial to see more above me than below me. However, I'm gonna test the thing where you're aiming at the ground. If that's really how I tend to position the camera, I might try centered as well.

Instantly switched to centered. Needed no time to adjust. Turning dlss off was also a big boost in hitting shots, for some reason.
When flicking I always used to push ironsights a little bit higher. Now everything is on its place.

Centred is the way forward. With all the changes regarding tripwire placement, I appreciate being able to see more of the lower part of the screen. Not to mention your own findings, such as the more natural feeling and snap aim to the centre
I can see all the benefits from centered crosshair (especially the ADS), however, I just can't get used to the "bigger" weapon. It's so distracting for me despite my hardest efforts. Thus, I think I will stick to my lowered crosshair option...
Yeah, I also got used to it not being centered but after this video I shall digress and constitute another path of hunting, invoking the inevitability of centering the crosshair.
Sticking with lowered for now; might adjust to centered later. I run around as you do, but have it ingrained in me to raise my crosshair like I'd raise my weapon when I go to shoot.

I said the same exact arguments for an optional centered crosshair years ago, finally it happened.
i'm switching to centered since i commonly switch between counter strike and hunt, so it makes it easier to transition between the games

Pause at 1:48 and then at 2:03 and tell us that you still believe they are both in the middle of your screen. OP made a very valid point and as someone who plays basically every FPS that ever releases, centred immediately feels more natural to me also.

In 1896 lowered feels being even more lovered than it was, that`s why it was weird for me to switch on it after centered and i went back to centered and feel ok about it.
The only complicated thing about that is aiming when trying to prefire when the enemy is below you) But it`s more about knowing the map
ive been playing hunt since launch and i also switched to centered immidiately, just feels way more natural, i also used to run with centered screen aiming down so now its better for adjustments when preaiming corners

Lowered gives me old-school Halo 2 sniper vibes, always preferred the look of it, especially when playing with Hunter aim preset where I can see more of the screen.
Before i started playing hunt 2 years ago i probably had like 15k hours in Cs, Bf and COD alone. It was always weird to play with a lowered crosshair. Finally centered crosshair is here

Halo 2,3,reach was were I probly sank the most of my time as an FPS gamer. it makes it legit hard to play centered cross hair in other games for me.
iirc the devs back then (halo 2 days) that they had lowered because it was shown alot of people look at there feet when traversing, so it was to let you watch the ground were you walk without loosing yoru forward FOV
Pretty much every other first person shooter has a centered crosshair and with just that fact alone, it instantly feels much more natural to switch to that in Hunt. Not really sure why it was ever that low to begin with, honestly. Not sure if that's more realistic to how our FOV in real life is or not, although I think centered is actually more like real life, but I could be wrong.
The lowered crosshair never bothered me but now I will try centered just to see if it works for me. Looking at the exact center of the screen feels a little bit more natural than looking below it so it kinda makes sense to have my crosshair right there.
thanks for the explanation rachta! i think its going to be hard at first, but changing to a counter strike aim its seems the best for shooting, otherwise its just for looking the really nice environment they have created :D

I was so wigged out when I booted up Hunt for the first time after the update. My screen felt squished with the gun model. I never even noticed the lowered crosshair when I started playing Hunt years ago. After a few hundred hours someone told me and I was surprised I’d never noticed it before. I’m sticking with lowered. I definitely prefer it

those games used lowered crosshairs so those of us coming from there just lean naturally into it.

Never had an XBOX, although Halo 2 was one of the first FPSs I ever played back in middle school (on another person's console). I wonder if that wired my brain for lowered crosshairs since it was one of my first FPS experiences

@@s_jakey Oddly enough I put around 1100 hours into R6 Siege (the vast majority being pretty sweaty) before Hunt, but admittedly, that game isn't as aim intensive as something like CS. I spent most of that 1100 hrs learning maps and tactics (that's been very helpful in Hunt actually), and trying to make my gun skills serviceable. I did a fair amount of aim training as well though. For whatever reason, I just don't really notice offset crosshair placements it seems. I just make it work. Now though, I'm so used to it in Hunt that I can't get rid of it. Brains and perception are interesting
I'm keeping mine lowered for now. I'm just so used to it by this point. I also really dislike how much screen space is taken up by weapons with the centered crosshair as well, and the ability to see window peekers better is very valuable to me. I might change at some point, if I feel that floor things are more of a problem in 1896. But for now I'm keeping it as-is.

It's definitely a disadvantage not seeing above you as much with centered crosshair, but the benefits outweigh the negatives, at least in my case! Centered feels much more natural and in line with other FPS games that I play.
I've gotten used to the lower crosshair in hunt. It put me off initially but I kind of leaned into the quirk. I like to think that i've got my gun ready, but just lowered to the ground so I can see. I've become used to bringing up the sight to my eye/horizon level as if i'm starting to take an aimed shot irl. Not really interested in being efficient with my aiming and shooting when I'm having more fun being a bounty hunter in a weird demon spawn zone.
Otherwise I remember back to when HALO initially shipped with the lowered crosshair to make visibility easier for their more verticality focused map design. With Colorado being a very vertical and mountainous map, i think its fitting to have the lowered crosshair for the same reason.
Lack of downward visibility is definitely a problem. Still stepping on traps that I'm not paying attention too. lol.
I respect that they tryed something different with the lowered crosshair. It makes a lot of sense for understanding head peaking. But centered is just better for playing
oh my god this explains why whenever I aim in with my crosshair its slightly higher than I'm used to because I've had to readjust the slight difference in height

I'm surprised you favour centered. I tried it for a little bit and just felt so wrong. Too much weapon on screen. I prefer more visibility above too, especially on the new map. Maybe i'd need time to adjust, but I also aim way above people's heads.
Tried centered but everything just looked too big for me for some reason, like i had less vision. Lowered just feels right for me.
Because there's more of your gun obscuring your screen, you physically get less space which is what some people can't seem to understand, and on the new map, verticality will be king, especially pushing into compounds and on the hillsides.
I never liked the off center crosshair, especially because i played so many fps games and they are 99% centered. You said it best, is so intuitive to center your camera to the actual center of the screen even while not aiming, is just natural for the eye to always be symmetric, that's why i never understood why they went with off center crosshair and especially they never added the option, until now
I'm sticking with lowered for now, I couldn't aim well at all when I center it, but hunt is the only shooter I really play. I might eventually change but esp with how many mountains are on the new map, I like better visuals above me too.
My playstyle is usually getting in a position and scanning a wide area watching for movement so I think I'm going to stay with lowered, being able to see over the top has always just been what I'm used to

I've played Halo all my life, and only got more used to lowered with Hunt. Safe to say ill be staying with lowered crosshair, but i think its great that they add the option

The only real downside to centered is that your weapon view model takes up more of your screen. This isn’t a problem when you’re running around or in hipfire, but there is quite a difference when you’re adsed. When you’re adsed in centered you basically have half your screen for looking around, whereas with lowered you have 2/3-3/4 of your screen to look around. I didn’t like centered when I tried it, but I might try it again. I obviously don’t have a problem with the centered crosshair in any other game, I just think the view models in hunt for the centered crosshair are particularly big compared to those in other games. Especially while adsed it feels like my gun took up way more of the screen than other games.
I'm sticking to lowered, due to the amount of space the weapon viewmodel occupies in centered. It bothers me.

i feel like lowered is better because realistically speaking, very few people actually look up and down when playing an fps game. Its why people hate maps with alot of verticality in competitive games like csgo or valorant. So having a lowered crosshair that enables more fov of the sky just seems really good especially in a game like hunt where there is alot of verticallity in most landmarks.
I think melee might also be different in centered crosshair. you should try to pay attention to this as well.

I've been one of those people who advocated for this change but received a lot of feedback and backlash from the community and the devs seemed set to keep it lowered. Glad they decided to change their mind and implement it, switching between games has never been easier and it's a day and night difference for me, I can finally shoot where I intend to shoot without doing big comical flicks up to actually hit any headshots or spending 15 min on shooting range to get used to it. You required more time to get used to lowered crosshair, now it just comes naturally. Centered crosshair all the way, no contest here unless you are just too used to lowered crosshair. Use centered crosshair + hunt sensitivity calculator for every aiming type for a consistent and reliable muscle memory.
Not a pro by any chance with 500h but I sucked at Hunt and this improved my skills for the best.

I played a lot in this game and I always sucked. Couldn't hit my shots, and lost many games. I still played it cuz of the vibes. But when this option came I instantly got better. Almost hit all my shots. Problem wasn't me. It was the cross air. Now I'm having so much fun with the game itself rather than just it's aesthetica

With the verticality of the game, lowered is much more useful for me. I play a lot of destiny so im also used to it,seeing people above is way easier
Mine switched from lowered to centered after the update. I messed around with it but it felt uncomfortable so I went back to the old way. I'm going to spend some more time with centered. Give it a good month or so and see if I like it.
Each time i play a shooter i actually tend to look into the ground way more than i should and then when somebody peaks me it takes me longer to aim at their head. It's one thing my friends give me s**t for in counter-strike for example. In Hunt however it's not really an issue and i feel like like the crosshair is positioned way more naturally for me
The moment they announced it I knew I was gonna switch to centered. You're looking down more than you're looking up in my opinion, you can see more of your legendary hunter/weapon and I might even be able to see traps too for once!
Not having a fov slider on console really kills it for me I hate how everything is still close up in your face

I personaly would've prefered it if there was only one option so everyone competes on the same conditions. Even though I like how the lowered crosshair made the game feel more unique, the advantage of not having to readjust aim is simply an improvement to overall gameplay.

I switched to centered and it took me all of 1 match to adjust and I immediately get more snap shot head shots than I ever did before. I still melee over dome zombies heads, though, because I'm used to aiming up higher. Lol
