This match was great for the viewers, but the amount of rng in this game is just over the roof; play a card and pray that you get 0.5% chance to survive.
Isnt RNG part of literally any card game ever? I mean you wont ever hear someone say "Well this game sucks cause its too random!" about Poker, will you?
@@Jpeg-yz4xj Yes, every card game has rng and that's part of the fun. I play magic the gathering and the only rng the game has is the moment you are drawing a card, the rest of the game is pure strategy. Same thing with poker, the only rng is the cards you are getting from the dealer and what the other players are holding, rest of the game is entirely how good you are in the game. In hearthstone, while I know that experienced players will always be better then newcomers, the game has much more rng then other tcg or poker. Rng in hearthstone is what makes the game fun and unpredictable but sometimes it's just too much. I play hearthstone from time too time but never to reach legend. I just can't take it as serious as other card games.
@@Mazao210993 Well I agree with that, I just dont play Hearthstone at all and nothing I saw in this game looked like the RNG outweighed the fun, but I might just not get whats going on completely.
@@Jpeg-yz4xj RNG is fun when you're not on the receiving end. Otherwise, it feels unfair. You played better the whole match, you calculated the best moves, you played around your opponent's board clears and their best cards, you came close to winning in just 1 turn, but turns after turns, your opponent kept playing some bullshit card that had a 1/10 chance of keeping them in the game. You weren't able to win despite being the better player. Isn't that fun? Sure, every card game has that, but usually they are kept to a minimal, so that the game lean more on skills than luck. Hearthstone went the other direction and embraced luck over skills. It's fun for viewer to watch because you don't know how the match will go, but it's ridiculous to play because your skills as a player are going straight into the garbage bin.
"Rafaam is going to decide the World Championship" = the problem with so much RNG in a nutshell. It discredits the skill of the players involved when everything is random.
Yes, that card was designed mainly for the spectacle. But how is it functionally different from a Myra? The reasoning behind these cards is essentially to push one's luck when the aggression runs out of steam, and are 10% the reason why aggro decks are even viable. Without them, either all aggro matches would be decided before the late game, or the archetype straight up wouldn't exist. There are ways to lessen the randomization, but that would mean changing the game from the ground up. It's almost like developpers think things through beforehand.
This game was so tense the guy looked physically exausted at the end. Wow. I don't play HS anymore, didn't know more then half of those cards but still wow. That was cool.

This is why cards of that nature should not exist, in tournaments, or any other form except constructed. It’s just as bad when a random legendary appears in arena and one single card (that is gained by luck of the draw or spell) creates an immense disadvantage. I don’t know which is a more misguided company, supercell or blizzard.
I don't understand why this game is so populer in terms of viewership and tournaments... Winning or losing literally LUCK lmao. Might aswel just flip coins...
I had the video muted but is it just me or did viper misplay turn 2 and 3? sacked abusive (2/1) instead of argent (1/1) on turn 2. then killed totem with juggler instead of argent on turn 3.
I'm sorry, but this game is getting out of hand (pun intended). They need to get rid of all the ridiculous potentially game ending cards and make the mana swings much much smaller.
I would've done the same. By doing that he tricked the opponent into believing he had more options to play than just the lone one of dropping the totem. It was tactical mindgame.
I backed killinallday, didn't know who he was, to win some packs from Blizzard, saw hunterace, thought he didn't know what he was doing...this is only by looks, and now the guy i backed is out,and standing behind the winner, and the dude i thought might be weak is holding a trophy and the people who backed him are getting those packs I've longed for.....never judge a book people...NEVER!!!😢😥😰😓😫😱😡
Well, I prefer the games to last 30-50 mins, without as much RNG. Can't stand aggro or tempo who's sole aim is to play as little hearthstone as possible.
Go for it. You just need to spend about 300$ on each of them. Then if another 50 people do it that's a cool, $15,000 that blizzard have made, in one day, for doing nothing but create digital rng gobshite game, congrats on being another donkey!! Or if you don't want to pay, you could grind no-life for several of the best years of your life, take your pick!!
I don't play Hearthstone anymore UA-cam algorithm wins, but wtf, Hunterace looks the opposite to enjoying himself, I can feel his anxiety oozing into me.
The first time I saw him (2 years ago) during a tournament I wished he didn't win that tournament, because he didn't look like a real winner to me. However, after watching his games I thought by myself (because of the plays he made) that he might be (one of the) best player(s) in the world. I decided to choose him as my champion, and here it is... he is world champion 2019!
3:20. Literally has no other play but to use hero power. Wastes one minute and twenty seconds doing nothing because "mind games". Such a thrilling e-sport.
best thing about HS...its all randomness vs randomness ..some imagine skill in HS so LOL to those ...they know who they are >) rest have fun in never ending randomness >) the way the game is designed to be..and not some skill wise game that kids now days imagine >P

Everything that is wrong with and great about HS in one game
This arena run was insane
That game was nuts.

crazy game, worthy of a final
Absolutely; those were my thoughts, too. Worthy finale!

Taking whole turn to drop a totem cause he had no playable cards. Gg

Rafaam has lost me so many games just do to the bad rng. Never rely on it, use it only as a backup.
So a card completely changes all creatures in your deck and hand into random ones? Makes the rest of the game completely luck based? Yes very exciting
Were you not entertained ?!

This is the reason why we love hearthstone.

Probably more like -"Men vafaan" ^^
The cards Rafaam produced were non-sense.
chris witters yeah. He didn’t really get much value from it.
Viper would've won if he held more cards in hand for Rafaam rather than going all in on turn 5 and 6
I miss when forsen would meme his way through this game. PepeHands
Deathwing this, Deathwing that... but the commentators are forgetting about Archivist Elysiana.
Best Hearthstone game I’ve ever watched

1 hour turn 3 for heropower.... XD

When did rock paper scissor get a esports?
HS final: RNG vs RNG. RNG wins!
Fitting that the world championship final should be decided by an rng clown fiesta.
The rng clown fiesta lost...
Yeah...the RNG is getting pretty bad recently. It's like watching a slot machine tournament.
Dude said the word 'like' 15 times answering three simple questions. Also why were the commentators asking what some of the cards do?
Not everyone's speaking english at home buddy. That ''dude'' like you said is from Netherland so maybe chill out about how he's speaking.
i voted for Hunterace to win the final when the voting was available couple of weeks ago, but i havent gotten ant rewards yet

In short, RNGstone
he got lucky and still lost, so i guess hearthstone isn't that RNG-based after all

both luck and skill. Like poker.

Also on Turn 3, Knife Juggler is given Rush by the Goblin Lackey.
You know something is wrong with your 'esport' when the final match of the world championship features a deck that is entirely reliant on rng.
Viper was the real winner here. Took it like a champ and didn’t look like a 12 years old emo kid just about to slit its wrists.
Greatest battle ever. Enjoyed
RNG world championship was fun TO WATCH i must say . they could do tournaments from now on just by tossing a coin who gets right won
Still cant believe viper lost that game,i mean he had everything, especially after the azelina play
Incredible one (Y) congratulations
Who are these players? Oh i guess the RNG gods decides who wins ?
Wow this is a long and fun game love it
I'm sorry, but this game is getting out of hand (pun intended). They need to get rid of all the ridiculous potentially game ending cards and make the mana swings much much smaller.
That was intense!
do you bring your own deck or is it given to you ?
Ali Bomaye bring your own
Crazy game
How is this a great game when they go to the rope EVERY TURN?!?!??!
Did i saw pavel?
5:28 didn't he miss face damage there?
nope. Knife Juggler gains rush, not charge.
Azalina mvp dude
Wena wena la final, Awante el hearthstone ctm!!!
No, there is not a Rafaam to resurrect, because it got Hexxed...
long long time ago...
wtf, hunterace waited the full turn just to drop a totem at 4:32...

Hagatha early would have ruined this game. Like it does a lot of games.
is there a version of this video with the game sound/music but without the mind numbing commentary
Had to watch on mute, why does Blizzard want these kind of casters?
though it was 2 round.....
best match ever
Lol, looking at all those spectators watching RNG. Might as well watch someone roll a dice. 😂
If that's the case how is Viper consistently a top 8 player

why the hell viper passed?
why viper did not healed to max with the 4 life repeat with dragon in field and healed all the minions

do you play Hearthstone too???
