Pavel got me 6 packs. I actually picked him to win. I'd love to see the stats on the percentages each player was picked in "choose your champion" I bet it was less than 2% picked Pavel. thanks Pavel.
yeah but amnesiac winning flips, pavel odds are probably under 10% for every draw. watching all these games and it looks like he got extremely lucky. these swings are too huge
The only problem is here... : Amnesiacs starts losing when he goes 0-4 with Druid. Same as OmegaZero. He starts losing when he went 0-4 with Druid. I feel there'll be a major Shaman nerf and a major Druid buff
lol why play hearthstone if not for the RNG? This ain't magic the gathering we live in a world where ragnaros and babbling book (over-poweredness both demonstrated in above games by both players) are good cards. It's how you play the game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
or maybe he couldn't win anything because he's just not on the same skill level as the rest of the tournament community. actually i think he's totally on the same skill level, and i think he could do well in tournaments. it's just like someone who bought his first stock and the company immediately collapsed, so he refuses to ever play with the stock market again. even though on average he would recuperate his losses because he's just as likely to succeed as he is to fail, and slightly more likely if he knows how to do market research. so yes, kripp should try it again, not quit because he realized it's mostly controlled by random variables. just think about your statement, it's literally an internal contradiction. losing a few games due to RNG proves that you need to extend your sample size to find success, not that you should quit because it's just random. it's not like vegas where the house always wins in the long term. it's truly 50/50 long term, plus or minus the effects of player skill and that kind of thing. so if kripp is really skilled, he should have a better than 50% win rate in a large sample. having a 0% win rate in a small sample only tells you that you need a bigger sample, not that it's impossible to ever get past 50%. so the randomness can't be why he quit, because that's literally backwards. it'd only make sense to quit if it was totally nonrandom and the better player ALWAYS won, in which case every single person would have a 0% win rate, except for one person (the undisputed "best player") who would have a 100% win rate. then it would be truly pointless for everyone except him to enroll in a tournament. meaning nobody else would enroll, he'd have nobody to play against, and the game would just cease to exist. you NEED randomness, it's why mario kart has the blue shell, if there's no randomness in a game or sport then it's no longer fun for anybody. if the only reason kripp lost is RNG, and a tournament game is just 50/50, then the more tournaments you enter, the closer your win rate gets to 50%. so if you play 1 game and lose, you have a 0% win rate. poor you, the game's just RNG, you quit. except you only played 1 game, so your sample size is the very minimum. if you had won, you'd suddenly have a perfect win rate, even if you're total trash at the game. for skill to start making a difference in matches, you have to play a lot of matches. the more total matches you've played, the more the "RNG bullshit" balances out with your own lucky RNG. you get stomped on by lucky openings and top decks 50% of the time, and the other 50% of the time you get to stomp on your opponents with lucky openings and top decks. any deviation from this 50-50 split is the province of experience, deckbuilding, memorization, hand reading, etc. where you're able to win or lose a game just by choosing one play over another. and where you're actually able to predict that one play is worse than the other, assuming you have enough experience and understanding of the mechanics, a good memory, a good ability to infer your opponent's cards, and a strong attention span.
pavel wouldn't have been able to come back and win the series if it weren't for the polymorph babbling book. sure. but pavel wouldn't have even needed to make a come back in the first place if amnesiac hadn't won some powerful rolls and openings in the first games. that's how hearthstone goes honestly. skill is hardly a factor in tournaments because all the players who can make it here all play to pretty much the same standard. they look ahead and make calculated plays as objectively as possible. they might have different styles, but the nature of the tournament filters out unskilled players, so it's not like someone can win a series purely because of skill. he either wins the series due to RNG, or he wins the series because his lineup has a really strong matchup against the opponent's lineup. that's really the only part of this where skill comes into play - deckbuilding. predicting the field and knowing how to target and counter it in this format, is a skill in itself. and clearly pavel lined up a bunch of decks that fucking wrecked druid, the weak link in amnesiac's lineup. so he must have some skill in lineups. anyway sometimes two players just both have even skill levels, both have even matchup spreads, and neither makes any technical errors. and then, there's nothing left to actually influence the outcome of the game except for the random modulation of when specific cards are drawn, played, countered, etc. from there a hearthstone game is just strictly the random mechanics playing themselves out. and then your match is no different from two identical programs of the same AI playing a hearthstone match with the same deck.
This was the most disgusting series in terms of RNG that I have ever had the pleasure of seeing in my life. I thought Pavel was going to get swept for sure, I wouldn't clown on Amnesiasc for crying a little after the match
The last two games were incredibly brutal. Feel so bad for Amnesiac. When luck and RNG swings in your opponent's way in the most critical moments ever...this is what happens.
Dayyymmn muricans cant stop being salty... Pavel may had rng on his side 2 times, but he is generaly 10 times better player than amnesiac so he deserved the championship and ur murican tears feel so tasty xD
there was a lot of rng that pavel won...so no, it wasn't like 2 times. i love how you shit on America yet if it wasn't for America you wouldn't have this game LUL. You keep being salty that your country blows dick. tears taste like potatoes.
Sic the Jake Sometimes amnesiac is EXTREMELY lucky too, like in his match with amaz, but here it is all about rng (because all players are pros and know how to deal with decks and how to play like a normal guy without BMs and missplays)
That is called gamers in general. Rather you are RU/US/EU if you play games, you most likely don't have the intelligence not to be salty. It is sad and pathetic people play games for their lives, they create these type of communities of trash children, and mentally slow adults that cry about everything. Gamers are a joke and should never be taken seriously, like children.
Nearly a year later and this still hurts my brain to watch. Never seen someone highroll RNG so much in such a large competitive tournament. Cocaine is one hell of a drug.
I don't play this game so why am I here? The time at @1:05 where the caster says "there's a hymen, there is a single hymen" that's where I pause, comment this and search another video...
@blacky maze yeya cuz game one was decided by pure skill pls only by being at blizzcon makes them like 5000times better than me you or any other player in this comments...
The production here was lacking, minus the set. The audio is trash, the situational awareness with regards to the abilities the cards have etc. Blizzard is better than this...
1:15:40 Oh guess what is going to happen. The Arcane Giant is going to DIE LIKE AN INSECT! 10 seconds later... Ragnaros: DIE, INSECT! (The Fireball hits Arcane Giant, Arcane Giant dies) Me: WTF! RNG THREE TIMES?!
1:11:59 Paveling book time. u are welcome.
best moment in hearthstone story , it will be remembered through the years of the best champion this game ever has, all hail #Paveling Book
The pat on the back at the end. Like, "I feel you, bro. I feel you."
Pavel got me 6 packs. I actually picked him to win. I'd love to see the stats on the percentages each player was picked in "choose your champion" I bet it was less than 2% picked Pavel. thanks Pavel.
"How to kill a druid with any deck" by Pavel. Also, I'm glad that Young Savage Captain America got disintegrated by a humble Russian boy.
Couldnt say that better.
Uh, Pavel is *not* humble. They're both arrogant.
So now kids, what have you learned? YES CORRECT.Never play Malygos Druid ever again
Who plays face huntard first game deserves that humiliation.
exactly
Psycoholic2008 if you have such a deep seated hatred for gamers then why are you watching a stream of a game, involving gamers? Just curious.
Those last two games hurt my soul.
Two 0-3 comebacks takes a lot more than RNG
No, I totally understand that. They're both really good players. It was just incredible to see that amount of RNG working against Amnesiac.
well Amnesiac won every coin toss before those last two games, so they're even.
yeah but amnesiac winning flips, pavel odds are probably under 10% for every draw. watching all these games and it looks like he got extremely lucky. these swings are too huge
The only problem is here... : Amnesiacs starts losing when he goes 0-4 with Druid.
Same as OmegaZero. He starts losing when he went 0-4 with Druid.
I feel there'll be a major Shaman nerf and a major Druid buff
Elixir Le I mean... You were half right? Maybe? Jade Druid is good against control but aggro shaman is tier 1 as well
And then Ultimate Infestation happened
Elixir Le lol, I just saw this after Ultimate infestation
I come from the future where druids run rampant and the best shaman decks are tier 3
Pavel the true young savage: no hesitation, polymorph comeback of the century
lol why play hearthstone if not for the RNG? This ain't magic the gathering we live in a world where ragnaros and babbling book (over-poweredness both demonstrated in above games by both players) are good cards. It's how you play the game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It is how stupid people play a game to feel superior in their meaningless life of playing video games.
1:26:46 The pat on the back...poor Amnesiac!!! Just holy cow. What kind of RNG did Pavel have?! LMAO!
Poor Amnesiac! Amnesiac seriously got insanely unlucky! Wouldn't be surprised if he cried afterwards.
Pavel IS POWEEERRRRRR
This is the reason Kripp doesn't play in tournaments anymore, he couldn't win anything because of his garbage RNG. Kappa
You speak the trutru
he is really bad in constructed lol

I mean Amnesiasc played pretty good but he got really heavy swings in the first 2 Games
haha yung savage got caged
The last two games were incredibly brutal. Feel so bad for Amnesiac. When luck and RNG swings in your opponent's way in the most critical moments ever...this is what happens.
Zottffss Fun True :) but in the first 3 games he had some stupidly lucky draws and plays ^^
Dayyymmn muricans cant stop being salty... Pavel may had rng on his side 2 times, but he is generaly 10 times better player than amnesiac so he deserved the championship and ur murican tears feel so tasty xD

So many missplays from Amnesiac lol Punished!
1:26:45 That pat on the back ^^ Savage!
Are you allowed to uninstall mid tournament? Asking for Amnesiacs sake.
So much skill involved
sad -_- pavel comeback is REAL
Is the Azure Drake really that useful?! If it is, I'm going to go craft two copies!
Zottffss Fun azure drake is one of the most common cards used but look up a deck you want to use and see if it requires it
Kenneth Kwon It's a rare
#PavelingBook still in our hearths
2nd match Amnesiac had to kill water elemental and let the rag do the last blow , he disrespect the lord of RNG and he got ultra punished for that
EleGiggle YOUNG SAVAGE EleGiggle YOUNG SAVAGE EleGiggle
Nearly a year later and this still hurts my brain to watch. Never seen someone highroll RNG so much in such a large competitive tournament. Cocaine is one hell of a drug.
Amnesiasc got lucky a few games. Glad his arrogance got squashed. Modesty is a much better quality. Good for pavel.
chonchan Agreed
where is cathoon
I don't play this game so why am I here? The time at @1:05 where the caster says "there's a hymen, there is a single hymen" that's where I pause, comment this and search another video...
A card called Savannah Highmane. Amnesiac only has 1 in his deck.
1:08:23 "Barron mind" lol
why the fk does he try to find every opportunity to insult his fellow commentator???
Amnesiasc? not Amnesiac?
Skillstone EleGiggle

Amnesiac is so cringy
Am i watching navi 2012 right now? #dota2refrence
Amnesiac has the Trump expression: mean and somewhat resembling of an ogre out of warcraft or some shit.
Damn, Amnesiac got ROBBED!
Pavel had so much RNG on his side in the last 3 games.
Brett Pierce amnesiac had it in the first 3 games, welcome to hs, never lucky
RNG or not coming back from 0-3 twice in a touranment takes incredible strength and solid play also Amnesiac had some crazy RNG first few games
Also Amnesiac made a massive misplay in last game by choosing to remove Thalnos instead of ramping
and AmnesiaSc had no good RNG in the first three games??? Murican skill = 0, playing only face decks.
muy pikante Exactly, when Amnesiac got RNG on his side no one complains; but when Pavel finally got RNG on his side everybody complains
no such thing as about to x or not, say anyx nmw
well thats fucking bullshit. lol.
Russia > NaCl
The production here was lacking, minus the set. The audio is trash, the situational awareness with regards to the abilities the cards have etc. Blizzard is better than this...
Ry Hu No they're not.

Me: WTF! RNG THREE TIMES?!
Пффф изи :D
Oh look, more RNG, how exciting. This is why hearthstone will never be an esport.
It's already an esport.
No it's not. It simply has tournaments, lots of games have that. Doesn't make them an Esport. Stupid gamers with their kiddy games, so sad.
Psycoholic2008 It is an esport...Can look it up in the official site
Pavel is the most luckiest bastard in this game.
E sport XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
freeze trap...so ...nerf it
