I used to be the guy with solely 8 HDDs on my rig. But this past July 24, and due to HW sugar's video on about "Good QUALITY ba yung computer parts na bibilhin mo?" I just got me the urge to get a 2TB 870 EVO SSD.
Last week, I got me a 1TB 870 EVO SSD as well.
Back then, when I was still using a 4TB WD BLUE HDD as my boot drive, it took around 2 minutes just for my desktop screen to show up. Then, when I got me that 2TB SSD, it was like around 50 seconds.
Getting me that 1TB SSD, it was just around 30 seconds
This is me realizing that SSDs are best for boot drives.
NVMes would have been better.. but I decided not to since installing one on my board would require me to remove my fat GPU and my Noctua HH-D15 with inclusion of the GPU bracket as well.
Too much work to be done when all I'm just needing is to install an NVMe.
Ang satisfying lang manood ng mga gantong content kahit wala akong pambili ng mga parts haha. Thankyou more power sainyo!

Maraming salamat sa kaalaman sir. Kala ko talaga mas mabilis ung M.2 SSD kaysa sa SSD. Parehas lang pala ung bilis nila maliban nalang kung may NVME ung M.2 SSD. Nice sire dami ko natutotonan dito.

The 3.5 Hard Drive was the first storage device of the Personal Computer next is legacy 5.25 Floppy Disk that is only 79 KB in storage space and 8" long Floppy Disk using a large disk drive and the smaller 3.5 Diskette that is only 1.44 MB storage and the Super Diskette that has a 2.88 MB of capacity and last the Zip Disk also as big as the 3.5" diskette but this can hold 100 to 500 MB of data. These was replaced by thumb drives, pen drives or more popularly known as Flash Disk or Flash Drives.
11:05 this is the SSD SATA M.2 that has a B and M key. It means the notch that you will see at the contacts at the edge of this M.2 device. The M.2 SSD started its life on a PCI-E 3.0 M.2 Slot while the M.2 NVMe started its life on the M.2 Slot PCI-E 4.0. The M.2 SSD SATA is as fast as 560 MBs and also the 2.5" SSD SATA using the SATA Port is also 560 MBs in read/write speed. The M.2 NVMe started its life on the PCI-E 3.0 M.2 Slot with a speed of 3,000 to almost 4,000 MBs read / write speeds but the M.2 NVMe PCI-E 4.0 can reach 5,000 up to almost 8,000 MBs of read and write speeds. M.2 SSD and 2.5 SSD are just the same in speed because both uses the SATA TECHNOLOGY only using a different interface connection.
11:11 this is the M.2 NVMe SSD. This is the current faster version of the M.2 Storage AND THE FASTEST DRIVES YOU CAN BUY! Faster read / write speeds and more expensive. You should pair this with a Motherboard that has M Key 2280 M.2 Slot PCIE 4.0 to run at its fastest speed.
SATA and NVMe M.2 are almost as small as a long stick of a chewing gum like Juicy Fruit and Double Mint.
For you not to get confused on which to buy, follow my advice. Before you buy an M.2 SSD, you should check which type of slot your computer is using. A M.2 B key slot is only compatible with B+M key SSDs, and an M.2 M key slot is compatible with both B+M key SSD and M key SSD.
The last but not least, you should check whether the M.2 slot supports PCIe (check in motherboard information). If it is PCI Express, please check whether it supports 2x or 4x PCI-Express. After getting these details, you can then buy an M.2 SSD without worries.
If you own a Mobo with a PCIE 4.0 M.2 Slot and lots of motherboards now a days if you buy an expensive one from M-ATX up to E-ATX it has support from 3 up to 5 M.2 Slots with E-ATX having the most number of slots sometimes reaching up to 6 - 7 M.2 Slots. If you do not like to use your M.2 as your Boot Disk where you install your Operating System you can still use the SATA 3.5 HD port just connect it on the SATA 1 Port and use it as your Boot Disk.
