    Tip:
Disable niyo nalang yung "Fast Startup" sa Power Options para kahit i-shutdown niyo yung PC niyo, tapon lahat ng stored kernel and thus, pristine yan before turning on your PC again.
Nagkaroon ako ng kernel and memory problems dahil dyan sa Fast Startup eh. Madalas akong mag BSOD dahil nga yung mga stored memory and kernel ay bumabalik lang kahit i-shutdown mo siya.
After turning it off, laking ginhawa ng PC ko. No more BSODs.

The Benefits of Restarting your Computer
Flushes RAM - RAM stands for Random Access Memory and is your computer’s main type of memory. It’s also known as volatile memory because it is constantly in flux. RAM handles short-term tasks and data. Therefore, when you restart your computer, you flush out all the random, unimportant, and temporary data bogging down your device.
Speeds up Performance - Reboots are known to keep computers running quickly. By flushing the RAM, your computer can run a lot faster without all those temporary files piled onto your PC’s memory.
Stops Memory Leaks - These occur when a program doesn’t close properly. Many programs borrow your computer’s RAM while open then return it when you close the program out. However, outdated, overused or glitch programs may end up forgetting to return that memory, resulting in memory leaks. Rebooting can help prevent memory leaks from occurring.
Fixes Internet Connection - Sometimes computers lose their connection to the Internet and will need to be reset. The first plan of action is to restart your computer. Restarting will reset the connection. However, please note that if restarting your computer doesn’t solve your connectivity issues, you may have to reboot your router or require further servicing.
Bug Fixes - Computers that go without reboots for extended periods are prone to an assortment of irksome bugs and glitches. These annoyances include programs running at a slower pace than usual, unexpected system freeze-ups. Rebooting your computer will prevent the systems’ processors from becoming overloaded and provide them with ample time to recharge.
Saves Time - Rebooting your computer is one of the quickest ways you can fix an error with your machine. By following our guide for when to restart, you can avoid sacrificing time out of your work day. You will also be saving time that could be potentially wasted on future device sluggishness or potential bugs.

One more thing sa mga high refresh rates na monitor are the types of cable to be used para ma attain mo yung naka indicate na refresh rate nya. differrent cables - differrent resolution at refresh rate support
normally gamit tayo ng VGA cable for 60hz refresh rate (standard /typical monitor) , HDMI for + - 75hz (correct me if im wrong) and a displayport cable for higher refresh rates . yung mga aabot ng 90/144/240 hz rates

Mediyo onting dagdag lang sa megabits and megabytes, in short 1 byte is equal to 8 bits, so 1 megabyte is 8 seconds kung 1 megabit per second yung speed mo. Atsaka maliit na correction lang, sa 11:33, hindi po siya "slightly less than 10%" dahil slightly more than 10% po siya (12.5% to be exact) no big deal naman po pero baka may mapadaan sa comment na to, atleast "slightly" corrected na rin HAHAHA. Anyways, ganda vid! dami kong natutunan!
Edit: Nababago nga po pala siya sa Ookla speedtest from megabit/s to megabyte/s, hanapin niyo nalang sa settings HAHAHA. pero kung gusto niyo maconvert manually, divide niyo na lang yung Mbps by 8 para maging MBps (kung gusto niyo magmath, ako ayoko eh) tsaka iba pang tips na natutunan ko: keyboard shortcuts. Windows key+R = Run command, Windows key + Print Screen = Quick screenshot (Saved in %userprofile%/Pictures/Screenshots) Ctrl+Shift+Del = Task Manager.

the RAM confusion can be easily sorted out if people read the memory QVL for the mobo before/when purchasing their RAM kits... ISP's in the Philippines are very good in marketing, skipping on details like upload speeds or putting guaranteed consistencies in fine print, attaching the word fiber without detailing if it's just fiber-sourced, fiber on an end or both ends, some may call it deceptive...

    2. Para sa router, gagamit ka ng pfsense, meron pa load balancer nun, security, cache, completo na siya.
    3. Maganda sa laptop kung settings ay shutdown kung close ang screen. Dati kase sleep...
    4. Yup, iconfigure talaga.
    5. 1 Byte (B) = 8 bits (b)

The most basic definition for NAT is it is the one responsible for translating private IP addresses (assigned to our end devices) to a single public IP (usually) to be able to route through the Internet. Without NAT, you won'tbe able to use the Internet because private IP's are non-routable. FYI.

Good Information Bro! I don't usually comment but just a few notes in this case If I may...
Regarding Double NAT, bridge mode or disabling DHCP in the second router are the band aid solutions. If configured properly, Double NAT is not necessarily bad and can even promote better network security by isolating networks. If you are having internet issues in a double NAT network, it could be improper DNS configuration, an improper routing table entry, or uPNP disabled in one or both routers for games/services that need it.
If you are a regular home user, in most cases, you wouldn't need to worry about Double NAT. It's only a major problem if you plan to host services to be accessible over the public internet (such as your own web server or your own MMO server). In such case, you could just configure your outer (first line) router to port forward the traffic to your inner (second line) router and then configure your inner (second line) router to port forward traffic to your servers. A better solution would be setting up a DMZ (which would also require port forwarding). In both solutions however, if you don't have a public static IP address provided by your ISP, you will need to coordinate with them and try to ask to setup port forwarding from their end (if they will allow it). Alternatively, you can try DynamicDNS.
Corporate environments are actually setup in multi-layer NATs (not just double) and DMZ is usually their solution for opening web services (such as email) for outside internet users. They are also sure to have public static IP addresses provided by their ISPs as part of the corporate internet line subscription.
Additionally, NAT does not actually handle routing. What it does is it replaces the IP address of your PC (the source) with its own IP address (the routers IP address) before the router forwards the traffic to the internet (destination). So if you have many devices connected to the router, the internet will only see one IP address - your routers IP address. NAT hides the details of your local network by being the public figure that communicates with the internet (kinda like the presidential speaker speaking on behalf of the President). NAT is designed this way to prevent exhausting the limited number of IPv4 addresses and also promote security.

    • @hwsph
      @hwsph  3 роки тому

thank you for this informative and well written post 💯
About a month ago I couldn't get my Converge router/modem to bridge mode so I spent an afternoon trying DMZ and port forwarding. Unfortunately Converge seems to be using carrier grade nat so those were a bust as well (goes back somewhat to your point on needing a public static ip). All of this trouble because I wanted to access my home plex serve outside of the house :p
Interestingly I am able to access the plex server using mobile data but can't access it outside using a "wired" connection.

    • @serenum1
      @serenum1 3 роки тому

      Interesting...
Do you mean to say that the plex server itself is tethered to your phone? or do you mean that your phone (on mobile data) can reach the plex server while the host computer is connected to Converge?
if you mean the former... then it is possible that Converge has firewall rules in place that block incoming connections originating from the internet to reaching its subscribers by default either for security or business opportunity. I don't really know the terms of service that this ISP has neither the internet plan that you have... but, regardless of intention, making any service available/accessible on the internet can be used for digital business. I'm sure Converge knows that so it is possible that they are not allowing such connections for home based plans and reserves it only for business plans.
I would suggest contacting Converge support to inquire about it and possibly request an exception to allow the flow of traffic to pass.
However if you mean the latter... then that is indeed weird. Converge has faulty configurations? Who knows?

Query lang po: my mother board is colorful A320M-K PRO YV14..I've been having a lot of sudden restart that says your PC encountered a problem and needs to restart. This happens every time I'll do video editing or even photo lang. When I looked at the net pasok naman po yung required system requirements for the apps like Adobe and Filmora ...I'm still wandering why? my RAM is 16Gb 2400 and my CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with 3.40 GHz. GPU - Nvdia Geforce GTX 1050ti 4gb dedicated memory, shared memory is 8 gb while the GPU memory itself is 12gb. Is there something wrong po bah sa configuration? We just bought it and told the store that we need something for editing and gaming. When I watched your video I was wondering about the manual configuration sa Bios Set-up, that maybe baka may problema..The thing is kahit yung Bios Set-up ay di ko po mabuksan. PLease any help po or suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance!

      Why?
      1. It's easier to track questions there (YT/FB is a mess when it comes to that).
      2. Everyone from our staff can weigh in, not just me. Everyone on the internet can weigh in, not just me.
      3. It's searchable so everyone online who might have the same problem could benefit from the question :)

Yung sa thumb screws understandable kasi some old and some present thumb screws wala talagang philips or flat screw head. Funny that its not only me that had this moment. a tip also is to use your shirt or cloth to add grip the same goes when you use clothing to uncap a bottled water. Sometimes it will look like it is not helping but it does losen the thread.
