    That's a professional retwist and style right there 👏🏾👏🏾 you did a great job 🔥🔥 I don't retwist my locs, but if I did, I would never be this meticulous about it. I'm a lazy loc girlie 😂

      Aww thank you soo much!! Oh and trust me I get lazy too. My loctitian sees me maybe 2-3 times a year when I'm on my lazy loc girlie mood 🤪

    Love your nail polish!
    You styling was very well done.
    I want to color my locs but I know I won't keep up on the maintenance.

      Thank you x 2!! 😊😊 there's definitely some colours that are a bit low maintenance. It doesn't show up the best on camera, but my hair looks pinkish when the purple dye is fading, and I don't mind that! I re did the colour maybe 4 or 5 times last year. But idk if that a lot, lol 😆 I day go for it! You can always dye it back to your natural colour if it gets too much 😊

      Hehe, I actually fell asleep with the dye in my hair and continued the process in the morning, but don't copy me! The dye shouldn't have stayed in my hair that long. I was just really tired 😴🤣

    I love the purple. It’s my favorite shade. I’m 6 months loc’d and I’m still scared to dye my hair 😂 love your locs ❤

    • @KrissyWalks
      @KrissyWalks  6 місяців тому +1

      Thank you!! I've seen that it's best to do it before your starter locs. But if you don't do it before, then wait until your locs have started budding.which is around 3-5momths stage. So I think you're at the perfect time to do it !! 😊😊✨️

    Why do you use the jam in front and the other product at the back? Hair looks great

    • @KrissyWalks
      @KrissyWalks  7 місяців тому +1

      Aha great question. I do that because I feel like the jam has a better hold than the other product (mango and lime locking firm wax) And I care more about what the front looks like. But If I can get away with putting lighter products in my hair then I will so I do half and half, sometimes though. Other times its all jam or all mango and lime locking firm wax. It really does depend on my life at the moment (events, work, etc)

    can you tell me y you used rubber bands at the end of your locs they so nice and thick 😍😍😍

    • @KrissyWalks
      @KrissyWalks  7 місяців тому

      Yes! Because the twists won't stay together if u don't. Once I remove the elastic bands, the 2 stranded twists will unravel! 🤭

  • @Mangi2628
    @Mangi2628 6 місяців тому +1

    What else to use except the rubber bands at the end?

    • @KrissyWalks
      @KrissyWalks  6 місяців тому

      Rubber bands are the only thing that'll keep your locs together. It won't stay twisted for a long time without something to hold it there.

  • @francinemaultsby8530

    can you explain why you use two different gel for your hair one in front then you used another one for the back and it came out so beautiful i’m new to the loc gang lol 7 months only i be so confused sorry just new to it 😔😍😍

    • @KrissyWalks
      @KrissyWalks  7 місяців тому

      Yes! 1 reason is to show the 2 types of products I use, but 2 is because the gel I use at the front has a stronger hold than the one at the back. And I care much more about how it looks in the front! And I try not to cause too much build up in my hair, and I know the heavy the product is, the more build up it'll cause. So if I can get away with using a lighter product, I will therefore I use it ar the back or sometimes all over! It really depends on the look I'm going for

    • @KrissyWalks
      @KrissyWalks  7 місяців тому

      Congrats on 7 months! Hope you're loving every point of it. And trust me, it becomes less and less confusing the more you learn about YOUR locs and YOUR hair. Trial and error are a must 👌🏾 💯 😌

    • @KrissyWalks
      @KrissyWalks  7 місяців тому

      @francinemaultsby8530 honestly patience! It took my hair about 9 months to a year to fully loc up. I'm in the process of making more videos about locs, especially what i wish i knew before getting them, so stay tuned ✨️ ☺️
