Making Alcantara Door Cards for a 350z | Car Craft ASMR

When these Alcantara doors cards were first made for my 350z, there were some problems; including a lifting panel due to missing relief seams and an area of messy top stitching.
Here we take the doors apart and remake them using a better pattern and techniques, showing the entire process from end to end should you wish to try this yourself.

Z questions :
1/ can you threat Alcantara against water / raindrops / stains ? or is the waaterproofing spray changing the texture ?
2/ why did you decided to make your own pattern and not copy the existing one ? because of seam / fabric orientation preference ?

Alcántara is already hydrophobic, so if you drop water on it, it just runs off; but on other similar materials you could use a hydrophobic spray to achieve the same result.
And I didn't reuse the old pattern because it wasn't quite right for the card, and so was lifting in one area due to the tension. I needed a new pattern to fix that.

Yup it absolutely did. I think I'll go back to full industrial soon enough which will rectify that. Appreciated though
