I have the Fizik Antares 3D, I had the same saddle for a year with smoth cover, this is way more comfortable, I've ridden a few 30+ mile mountain bike rides, the older Antares was great, the 3D version is AMAZING, Shocking to say the least.. Happy Trails..
I just bought fizik Antares versus adaptive evo R1 yesterday and I had a short 50km ride on my gravel bike on it. I'm completely blown away! The comfort is just amazing. Provided that there are no issues with durability this is absolutely worth the money.
Thank you so much for this review. There are surprisingly few reviews for this thing! I really appreciate your thorough take on this! Just a question, if you don't mind: How has it held up since this review? I know it hasn't been long, but I hope you've been putting it to good use in the Australian summer! I'm looking for a saddle for the upcoming season (it's winter in Canada), and I'm really interested in this thing. Thanks in advance. Much appreciated!
Hi and thanks for the message. Pre pandemic I used to love my annual pilgrimage to Whistler. I have actually just sold it on. I mainly mountain bike and after riding it for a few hours a day for a week decided that I wasn’t getting on with it. I was going to put it on the road bike and leave it there but it was on the firm side for me and even though I wanted to like it, it just wasn’t for me. If you like a former saddle then this could be for you but if you buy a saddle is always a gamble to see whether it suits you or not.
@@jaselikesbikes It really is a gamble; it's such a personal decision. Thank you so much for your feedback and answering my comment. I highly appreciate it 🙏 Have a safe and wonderful summer!
I was realy optimistic about this saddle and now I read your comment and don't know what to buy anymore. I am desperate for a comfortable saddle. Do you have any recomendations? (For MTB)
@@bikernaut1 sorry about that, the saddle may work for you but as I said it didn’t work for me. Most of my bikes have the Fabric Scoop saddle, it is inexpensive and I find it pretty comfortable.
I bought the "Fizik Antares 00" the first year it came out; it does not even have 2000 miles on it and the rubber on the tip of nose of the saddles has broken off (approximately 1" in length) and has the bare carbon showing. I believe that the quality of saddle that sales for 400$ would last longer. This is the first and last time I buy from this company. I am very disappointed with the quality of such a bicycle saddle.

They have a new 3D printed saddle that will come out end of this month
Thanks for the info. It will be interesting. To see.
Thanks for the video! Really helpful.
@jefftse you are welcome.

@@jaselikesbikes I think I'm gonna try with Selle SMP
Nice review, but one recommendation: product reviews should have the price clearly displayed.
Thanks. Yes my mistake, I would normally do that
@@jaselikesbikes no worries -- cheers
What sunglasses do you use?
I use the Oakley Jawbreaker mainly with Photochomatic lenses.
@@jaselikesbikes Ah I see, thank you!
I want a white one. They have some weird "mint" colored one for some reason.
I think that is supposed to be their "white" but it does look unusual.
Wish the prices were lower
Agreed! Too pricy for sure.
I rode it today and it was the most horrible experience in a long time. After 20k i had to call my wife to pick me up
Ha ha, I know! I have a couple of the specialized mimic saddles recently and they seem to be doing the trick.

Thanks for the feedback. 1 year is terrible! I guess it is worth a try contacting them to see if they will replace it or for their comments.
Oh god they made a trypophobia saddle why
Ha ha, I had to look that up!
