Great layout ! I couldn't miss the lemonade stand. I don't remember them, but I do remember the big orange ball fresh squeezed orange juice stands that ran down hwy 99 from Modesto to Bakersfield in the 1950's and early '60's
Great layout! I am from tuolumne county and it's good to see some of the equipment on this layout! Like grandfather and my father worked at Pickering lumber company. Keep up the great job!
Beautiful model railroad and I really like the Incline Mine detail. The "lazy susan" turntable is a smart idea and looks like it works well. Nice track work and overall detail is great ........ equipment weathering is well done! This is a very good video of a great model railroad that Guy Cantwell should be very proud of. Thank you for sharing this with the UA-cam community. Mike
Nice layout, and particularly good video presentation. I'll likely use a turntable control idea for my gallows turntable I've included on the logging portion of my layout.
Thanks, Claude! I heard about this layout as "one of the better layouts I am likely to see" and it was even better than I expected. Guy is super cool to so it was doubly-excellent to document!
That's really awesome, and great inspiration to make even more content like this. If you know anyone else who might like it, please share the link with your friends and family. Thanks!
I love this little layout! It's clean, and well put together, and your structures are real little gems! I'm also impressed with the "Lazy Susan" turntable idea ... simplicity itself and it works very well. Well done, Guy!
Thanks for sharing your layout. Quality workmanship and really great scenes make this an outstanding layout. I model in On3 and despite having more space I always wish for a little more. The scenes and locale of your layout is a really great part of the country to model. Well done. Most enjoyable video.
This layout is awesome and although my layout is on the Texas coast the operations will be quite similar with main industries consisting of cattle, cotton, fresh and packed seafood from the bay wharfs and seafood distribution industries, and pretty much all other industries take in virtually any car of that era.
Gorgeous layout! The very realistic weathering on the locos, consists, structures, well all of it, is incredible. The scratch-built elements are quite impressive and really stand out. A true master modeler. Bravo.
Very, very nice layout. You got to love that steam! Your tree's are great, look very real, how did you do them? I think all your scenes look real good ,nice detail.Small space ! I would like to have your room. I just have room for a 4x8 layout. But I still have fun. Enjoyed the video.
Guy Cantwell, can you understand the New Model kit the Allis Chalmers orange pushpop at the Bradford Exchange? I can't either,,,must be a Fleetfarm/wells solid full duty line of Impliment,,,hadn't it gone [M] red from green,,or is Orange push-ups a way to settle severe as much as Sunsets, in the South? Strange little Free Flyer, Send no Money now...and it Came in Farmtek Catalog? Strange...perfect stride to you to! And Also with you!
