Of course we all enjoy all of your many alter-egos in your sketch-videos, but it's fun to see you as yourself, too. Glad you and your wife enjoyed your Christmas visit to Prague, which is one of the great cities of the world.
Omg, those sweets and marzipan look so tempting! I would try all of them, if I didn't have an acne problem. I break out very easily. I would def go for Europe's coffee though.
When I first visited Europe, I was enamored by its beauty and amazing architecture. Apart from that, the coffee was fantastic, much better than the US coffee which is mostly Starbucks. Europe actually has fresh roasted coffee which is harder to find in the US. But if you compare the cost of many other items, the US is comparatively cheaper.
Starbucks are ubiquitous. I try to use local coffee shops though as the coffee is usually much better. In fact my favourite coffee is Taylors of Harrogate Rich Italian made in a cafetière in my kitchen. It’s cheaper too!
@@davidhamm7909 I agree that the coffee served at local coffee shops across US is better than Starbucks. I've heard about Taylors of Harrogate Rich Italian but I gotta try it someday. English coffee tastes great btw.
I've been stationed in Europe 3 times. I loved the weekend markets. Having the wonderfully warm gluhwein while strolling the Fussgängerzone in Wiesbaden Germany during the Christmas time was amazing.
Never made it to Prague, but did get to several Christkindlemarkts while in Germany some 30yrs ago. Good times! Maybe one day i will get my wife there to experience it too.
Nice video, enjoy your stay in Prague, watch out for scammers and if you need any tips on where to go, ask away! PS: Trdelník (chimney cake) without filling is the only right way to enjoy it :D
@scubeskitchen, my husband and I have lived in Portugal for a year now. We went to visit Valencia and our first meals were Mexican food because we miss it so much! Then we had Spanish food, lol. We want to go to the Christmas markets next year for sure and Prague looks beautiful.
I’m Hungarian but I can tell that that Halusky is not really authentic and it doesn’t look good. The type of soft egg noodle you thought was gnocchi is called “halušky” in Slovakian and “galuska” in Hungarian but the dish itself is usually called “sztrapacska” in Hungarian, and “Strapačky” in Slovakia. 😄 Sztrapacska / Strapačky, Galuska / Halušky There are different variations of it and different regions can have some twist on some of the ingredients (some versions of the dish have sauerkraut or caramelized onion or fresh chives on top for garnish), but the traditional dish is made with crispy bacon, grated potatoes and bryndza or “juhtúró” in hungarian (a type of soft crumbly creamy sheep milk cheese popular in Central and Eastern Europe) on soft egg noodles (Halušky / galuska). What you were served at the Christmas market didn’t look authentic to me. 😅 All the sweets looked great though. 😄
When I saw the title, I was hoping for a Portugal Christmas Market. However, I know they aren't exactly famous for that. Great video!! Love your European videos!
And people keep escaping out of it to Europe and Asia. The only people escaping to the U.S. are running from cartel run 3rd world shit holes, the U.S. is ofc gonna better.
Actualy marzipan is much more traditional in Czech lands (used for centuries) than trdelník/chimney cake, which is originaly fro Hungary and Romania and has nothing to do with czech tradition or czech cuisine. 🙂
We tried the same gnocchi and they are not Slovak gnocchi. The taste is bad. You must try good Slovak halušky. They are excellent with sauerkraut and bacon, but also with steamed cabbage and, of course, bryndza gnocchi are the best :)
VISIT ESTONIA! And WELCOME to ESTONIA! Since you're in the neighborhood, I'd highly recommend that 😊 PS! Nobody paid me to say that. I'd be thrilled to see the "GRANDMASTER"" roaming our best restaurants! 😜
I have strong doubts about the thumbnail showing a christmas market in Prague it more looks like "Altmarkt" Dresden, Germany to me. Why do you use for a diffrent city?
I'm Slovak and those Halušky were definitely not true Halušky and they looked awful. If you want actual slovak Halušky (pronounced "Halooshki") with sheep cheese and fried bacon, go to some traditional Slovak resturant and not a tourist trap christmas market in Czech republic :) I guarantee you'll love them.
I love your videos but as someone who has lived in Prague their whole life this is just painful to watch turist scam 😐 the Christmas fairs are pretty but the prices / food quality is not good
8.53 That is 'Cannolo alla siciliana' - Sicilian cannolo, which is filled with ricotta and the dow is fried: it is different from the typical Italian cannolo, which is filled with cream. By the way man.. you are so slim to eat that much ; )

Thank you so much!
The chef decided he is done with Preston and decided to send him to Prague lol.
Prague was so much fun! I already miss the Marzipan 🥹🥹
Too bad we can’t afford a box
@ 😂😂 ya PRICEY … we could’ve slept on the street for a night instead of the hotel and then bought a box 😛
The ambience.....😊.❤️ed it
The prices.....😐
Usually I don't watch this type of video, but I thoroughly enjoyed this, as I knew I would. Happy Holidays.
Thank you 👍
Omg, those sweets and marzipan look so tempting! I would try all of them, if I didn't have an acne problem. I break out very easily. I would def go for Europe's coffee though.
I bet the food in Europe wouldn’t affect you that way!
Thanks for saying that. I love European food, its awesome. Its the sweets which give me a breakout.

That looks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing, Chef!
Prague is just so beautiful in winter
Ya it was amazing
Now I'm hungry! That Christmas market looks like a lot of fun!
It was a lot of fun. Super cool place
@scubeskitchen I bet!

I’ve been to a couple in Germany too. They are all a lot of fun!
Thank you for this! Even with the pass breakfast. Looks beautiful and has now moved up on the travel list. Enjoyed thoroughly.
It’s an amazing city definitely worth visiting
@scubeskitchen Thank you, we most certainly will.
I thoroughly enjoyed this with y'all. Thanks!
Thank you 😊

Thanks for taking us along with you. Loved this!
I am from czechia and We do halušky ať Home and its 1000 times better
I appreciate your honesty regarding your less than stellar food experiences.
Looks like you guys had a great time. The food looks great too. I would eat all that too lolz

Thanks for the info! I’d like to try some real traditional halusky
Yeah, unfortunately, halušky at Prague Christmas markets are just a tourist trap....it's usually very overpriced too
In from Prague and this hurts my brain.
When I saw the title, I was hoping for a Portugal Christmas Market. However, I know they aren't exactly famous for that. Great video!! Love your European videos!
The sad part is the US doesn't have anything close to other countries events.
The State Fair's? 🐖 Out!
You don't live in an area of the country that does. I live in Texas and we've got many here. They have them all over New England.
That’s bc the U.S. is a miserable hellscape
@rainbowslime834 yet people keep escaping to the US. Your opinion is baseless. 🙄

So, I guess it's goodbye to the comedy skits ( which were fun to watch) as he will now be doing travel vlogs.
Haha no this was just a last minute decision to try and film the trip
@scubeskitchen Oh thank God.😅
This vlog was fun to watch, but your skits are both entertaining and hilarious. Please continue with them.
Great video.
Thanks!
Have you heard the story about the lonely Italian chef who built himself a son out of potato dumplings? He called him Pi-gnocchi-o. 😁
lol 🤦♂️
😂😂😂😂

I seen clips of those waffle stick things, like make your own type. I wish US had them

Curious about what made you go to Prague?
We looked up the best Xmas markets in Europe and it’s been on the list every year. We also had not been to Czech republic before
Great vid! How was it for English speakers? Also how long does the market go on for?
The market is everyday starting at 10am. Not sure when it ends. Most everyone spoke good English I was impressed.
Chef is from Portugal? Damn, guess I can never annoy Preston irl.
Even though Prague isn't far from where I live I probably won't go there.I've heard that it was very crowded there. And the prices... no thank you :D
