Thought I'd get out with the Camera one last time in 2024... Had all these grand plans with where to visit... Yet typically the weather put those plans on extreme hold, meaning it'll be a location to visit in 2025 instead - I still managed to get out locally getting to re-visit a spot that I was surprised to find that I've not visited since March - But with 2025 on the horizon I thought it would be a good opportunity to talk about my Photography plans for the year ahead. In the mean time, thank you for your support here in 2024 - Have a very happy new year... I hope to see you again in 2025!! 👍👍
Hey Neil, why not try a bit of film photography? As you shoot Canon, find yourself a cheap old EOS film camera on eBay with an EF lens as this will seem familiar to you in some way? I shoot a mixture of digital and film on Canon EOS cameras. I do though shoot mostly digital as of course, it's kind of easier 😃. I do however, love to shoot film as I feel it keeps my skills sharp as I cannot see how the shot has come out until I get the scans back. I do edit them a bit just like my digital images though, but you do need to be a bit more mindful of what you are doing when out and about.
@@sarahneedham I keep meaning to try Film Photography, as a way to improve my skills, so thats not too bad of an idea actually - I actually have an old FD Mount that I intend to do a video about at some stage, so really just need the old film camera to go with it 👍👍
@@neilstevensphotography Sounds like a plan 🙂. A long time ago, I used a more manual camera like you'd have to get to go with an FD lens, but then in 2000 I switched to the EOS system and thought it was amazing. Then I moved to digital a decade later but could of course, use my EF lenses. I have yet to move to the R mount as I still use DLSRs. This is handy mind you, as my full frame lenses can be used on the 2 EOS film bodies as well.

mate are you honestly a photographer or just someone who takes photos?
Id class myself as an Amateur Photographer, as its not my profession - But any Photographer is just someone who enjoys taking photos.
