Representative Ron Paul spoke to conservative activists about U.S. foreign policy, the costs of overseas troop deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as federal spending priorities and monetary policy. He also spoke about limited government and individual rights, emphasizing personal responsibility over the regulatory power of government.

Ron Paul is not too old to run. He is healthy, sharp as a tack & has spent his years fighting for the American people. You'll hear the same message, no matter who he is talking to, same voting record, same principles & he has a true passion. No sir, & you're not going to get a speech off a teleprompter. I wish you would run, Ron Paul 2012! A True Patriot!

    Wow,
I would consider myself a Dem
and I did vote for Obama, which i do
feel was necessary for this first 4 years
    of reform,
but Ron Paul is the only Rep I would vote for
    in 4 years.
I love his ideals and logic.
I really feel he could bring this countries

ron paul is not a tool controlled by any party or affiliation. he is himself and has always been the strict fiscal conservative/ libertarian. he has never changed, he has some allies in congress but he is mostly by himself because everyone else shifts opinion and positions after each election. so paul is the real deal, wether his message is being heard or wether it has any value to it can be debated. but he isn't a tool.

Is it true that only federal employees care about the quality of education? Are you a federal employee?
There is no need for a federal bureaucracy to accomplish teaching kids. No need at all! It's a huge waste of money, and it is actually hurting the school systems.

Ron Paul is about the only politician that is consistently right on issues and the direction of the country, It was Ron Paul that stated years ago that the feds monetary policy of inflating the dollar by keeping interests rates artificially low would lead to collapse. Even still, after being proved right, nobody listens to him, why? Because politicians have their best interest first, not the county's. All recessions/depressions can be proven to be caused by the fed. reserve, it must go.

  • @noeliosis

Here is why I now like Ron Paul. He is real when he talks he isn't using a corporate slogan such as "Hope and Change" or "Straight Talk Express". However, he tried to warn us and I was one of the tens of millions who thought it was a conspiracy theory and that Obama could fix the situation.
Paul knows that govt can't run the economy, but can guide it by using tariffs, incentives, and allowing the American People to invest. Allowing companies to outsource everything killed our economy.

Schools are run better by the communities they serve. Education is not the duty of the federal government, and it is not in the constitution. Besides their programs and policies have been huge failures. Besides it unconstitutional, under the tenth amendment such a responsibility should be under State law or the people.

Please read the wiki page on the gold standard. There are very good reasons why few if any countries use a gold standard. I don't think anyone in the government wants hyperinflation and policy makers have the ability finely craft monetary policy. Democrats still have a black eye from the Carter Administration so I expect them to be enthusiastic about bringing back Clinton era prosperity.

I'll put it in terms you'll understand.. you know how we can't ruin the environment for our grandchildren? same thing for the financial system. If we didn't have this high level of taxation we could save for our retirement and help people who need it. What we have now is a cancerous bureaucracy that is encouraging us to mortgage our grandchildren's future to pay for it's existence. Not only is it mathematically unsustainable, the result is the destruction of the money and debt for our children.

Stop acting like it was always the federal reserve. Its an oversimplification that does not work. Not to mention the fact that the U.S. was on the Gold Standard until 1972. The credit problem was actually the result of an increase in industrial efficiency, which created a larger desire to distribute goods to maintain the economy. Installment buying and buying stocks on margin inflated the credit market too much, the invisible hand did it. It took FDR regulating markets to bring us out.

    • @titscapone1308
      @titscapone1308 2 роки тому

Nonsense. The fact is that the federal reserve system is stealing the wealth and sovereignty of the people and consolidating it in the hands of a few families. Of course that's what it's there for. In reality government is little more than a mechanism to control people and their minds. This is why it's supposed to be a very limited government if we have any at all.

Get out your inhaler and take a breath. Coincidentally, I worked selling contracts with a garbage company to people. So I know intimately that garbage-collection services have been, are, and would be provided independent of the state. Earlier libraries were donated or funded by men like Jefferson. If someone wants to make a library and pay state clerks to administer it that's his business. But nobody owes a librarian her paycheck by default save her employer. Who do you call when the IRS mugs u?

The 3/5's compromise is found in Article 1, Section 2, Paragraph 3. It doesn't outright say "black people are not people" though. It just says that those "bound to service" i.e. slaves are to be counted as 3/5's of a person.

And I think that on auditing our federal reserve he is correct, but I think I heard him say "abolishing" it, which I highly disagree with. On stopping war and empire building, I believe he is too late on for most of the world, and for the rest, he should not stop. Because really, if you look at any country we have gone to war with, we were at war not only for our own rights, but for the rights of other countries as well. The rest of the world is improving thanks to our "imperialism".

"regulation" is oppression=evil. What's an idiot like captkirk999 referencing? An action like FEMA's arresting merchants for "price gouging". Fundamentally it's a man's right to choose what price he'll sell goods at. Pragmatically people are not better-supplied by the confiscation of goods and imprisonment of merchants. Morally and practically there're no rational grounds for the bullying misnomered "progressive action" or some other deceitful name.
