    Ron Paul is not a politician he is a statesmen he believes in freedom and the constitution and that's why the powers that be wouldn't let him become president. I wished he would have gotten elected though. Went to a speech he gave when he was running for president just an all around awesome man.

    So if you think about it, the federal reserve is operated by a group of banks, then every country has the same type of fiat system in place so... most banks of the world are controlling the governments... banks are controlling the world... is it the same group of banks? What the heck? Follow the money!

    Great video. Interestingly, there was an article in The Globe and Mail (A Canadian Newspaper) about the disohnesty of inflation and why governments love it. To me, this is a sign that more and more people are becoming interested in monetary policy, and are starting to understand why inflationary policy is not a good thing.

I have no faith or confidence in the rep. p. I witness how it went 18 years ago & now it is the same BS only magnified. The rep. p. needs to burn to grown and then be born again! Governments in the last 60 years have used these policies with tremendous success. There has not been a single depression or bank panic in any nation anywhere in the world using Real Keynesian monetary policies,(that do not include Subside Big Corporates like Reagan-Bush). But during the Gilded Age of the late 19th and early 20th centuries,depressions and bank panics were common. The historical record is so strong that mainstream economists reject the gold standard almost universally.

    I have also taken a fair amount of economic classes and have never heard of Austrian economics. I was taught that the free market produces the most economic well-being but the financial sector is the one big exception.
    The reason why many economists will not accept Ron Paul's views is because if they endorsed the idea that the best thing to do is nothing, then all of sudden they are not needed to say how much the government should spend, borrow, etc.

    Once the subject of heated national debate over 100 years ago,the gold standard today has disappeared as a political issue.The world has abandoned the gold standard in favor of so-called "paper money,"and only a diminishing group on the far right like Ron Paul continues to call for its return However,if mainstream economists(on both the left and the right)have anything to say about it,there will never be a return to "that barbarous relic,"as John Maynard Keynes called gold over 60 years ago

  • @Korodarn
    @Korodarn 13 років тому

    @jazzbo66zz "Government" is likewise a word referring to a concept, but the concept it is referring to is that of a body of individuals responsible for governing others, which entails imposing their will on others, and taxing others (stealing from them if it's against their will). The concept is at the core about forcing people to do what they would otherwise not do on their own.

    Agree, giving congress such oversight over the Fed would allow Politicians to promote short-term positive looking monetary action (reducing taxes). these actions however have disastrous consequences for long term economic stability. I agree that The Fed at times has too much power, but a complete audit of this system is not the way to go about solving the problem.

Also if you can get hold of a copy of the Report from Iron Mountain you will understand more of the motivations....for one to control the world. Understand the true purpose of the UN. Unfortunately the battle in going to be on the streets with homeless people, unemployed, hungry, cold, sick people who have lost everything...not completely on college students who are going to be surfs to pay for their education for decades.
    10 years later and the plan still continues.

      I am from Europe, started my working life in 2007, just before the bubble burst. Back then, I followed Ron Paul and was so hopeful that US (Wall street and FED mostly, not regular people) would correct the damage done in 2008. to the whole world economy with him as POTUS. I suffered enormously myself bcs of what happened in US with my mortgage monthly rate rising 100%, even exceeding my salary, and I couldn't cover even half of my debt to the bank by selling my flat bcs of falling real estate prices. Today, 15 years later, when I listen to him and remember what could have been, I start to cry. No joke. Why is it that good people never get into power? :( He was right then and he is right now. And we all see it unfold in 2022.

    Austrian,Joseph Schumpeter suggested a model in which the four main cycles, Kondratiev (54 years), Kuznets (18 years), Juglar (9 years) and Kitchin (about 4 years) can be added together to form a composite waveform. (Actually there was considerable professional rivalry between Schumpeter and Kuznets. The wave form suggested here did not include the Kuznets Cycle simply because Schumpeter did not recognize it as so reliable.I don´t know?But worth reading maybee.

    I would not be so ready to go back to the gold standard. There is only 181,000 tons of gold, just enough to fill two olympic size pools. In the past people have cornered the market on gold and wreck havoc on the economy. What we need to do is to end fractional reserve banking and stop the money supply from expanding and contracting at the will of bankers.

  • @se7ensnakes
    @se7ensnakes 13 років тому

    Not true...the debt could be retire with debt free money...with United States Notes slowly introduced into the economy to prevent inflation, and banks must be 100% fractional reserve banking.
