    Project Description:
    ********************
    Hydroponics is a branch of hydroculture. It is the process of cultivating plants without soil. The plants receive nourishment through mineral nutrients dissolved in water, instead of soil. In my previous tutorial, I have already explained how to monitor the soil nutrients like Nitrogen, phosphorus, and Potassium using the NPK Sensor, Arduino, and an Android cell phone application. I will provide a link in the description.
    Hydroponics is basically growing plants without soil. It is a more efficient way to provide food and water to your plants. Plants don't use soil - they use the food and water that are in the soil. Soil's function is to supply plants nutrients and to anchor the plants' roots. Hydroponic gardeners may use different types of inert media to support the plants, such as Rockwool, coconut fiber, river rock, Styrofoam, or clay pellets.

      what range of ec is it reading?
      specs on tdm meter says it only has range 1000ppm, my ec calibration fluid is 1800ppm, is it enough for hydro?

      @@ralphbooger4756 ppm and tds are conversions of ec. Ec basically reads resistance...

      so if the ppm range is 0-1000 ppm, that would mean the max ec value this board can read is under 2.0 ec? which would be on the low side for hydro?
      im a little bit confused about the ppm to ec conversion, ive seen 3 different ways to convert it, on one scale was 1000ppm = 1.9-2.0 ec, another scale showed 1000ppm as 1.5-1.6 ec.
      im trying to figure out if i can use this board, in my setup i would need to accurately read the ec at 2.2... and even a little bit higher to make sure it is not too high... so around 2.4-2.5 atleast.
      could it be adjusted to read like 500-1500ppm or am i misunderstanding this completely?
      sry bout the big post but im confused lol

      @chimpofm 3 роки тому

      @@ralphbooger4756 ive never exceeded an ec of 1.5 and those were trees... i only work in ec so i dont worry about conversions . 0.35 babys. The 0.56 after 3rd set of leaves. Then you can calculate ec required by checking consumption.

    How about using stepping motors to dip and retract each sensor? dip the sensor for a period of time like 5 to 10 seconds, make an average of all readings done in this time, store it, proceed to the next sensor, do the same task for all of them, and display the information after the probing process is finished. Of course this should be done in still water, like a tank connected in series to the pipes system.

    I'm working on a water quality monitoring project using ESP32 WROOM, pH4502C, and EC Board v1.1. I'm facing challenges with connection and coding the components, especially during the pH offsetting, which isn't producing the expected results. I'd really appreciate your help in resolving these issues. Your expertise could make a big difference in achieving the project's goals.
    Looking forward to your guidance!

    Hey, thank you very much. Just wanted to check if using NPN and PNP will solve this problem, and here you are, you gave a result. So, also if you are better in electronics, what about using mosfets like N and P type will it also work? Because, I suppling sensors from separeted source and it has a huge current strength, so think I can burn bipolars.

    • @KomplikevychOstap
      @KomplikevychOstap 2 роки тому

      So, maybe i will clarify, you used 2 pins of arduino but i want to use only one, so i want to connect NPN to arduino pin, and PNP base to NPN collector, so then when NPN will be open PNP will also open. But that way we need to deal with high current.
