Is anyone going to tell RCE that the sewage pumps always output sewage even when you don't have an input? You can have a single water pump and a dozen sewage pumps and all 12 sewage pumps will dump out their full volume of water. Which means adding more sewage pumps only makes the problem worse.
Yelling at my screen this very thing the entire time....
he good at making BAD things
I know I'm dying. Please make it stop
So... Technically he only needs one pump?
@@NeveraCore Well, given how decimated his population is at this point, maybe. But no, they put out a fixed amount regardless of "demand" so he would likely need at least a few. But adding more just adds phantom sewage, created from ether. It doesn't reduce load. The flooding is probably because he added more pumps than the outflow into the "ocean" could handle.
I love how this series started as "let's make an efficient green sewage solution", and now it has descended into *this*
I think you meant "efficient BROWN solution" ???
@@fubblitious Yeah, definetly brown power
descended implies this is bad. i believe you mispelled ascended
@@aidanwhite5631 Assended
Frankly, it's turned out about the same as every 'Green solution' ever presented.
Considering you now have two poocanoes, I think the ultimate goal should be make an addition that would turn them into the base of a *very* efficient shape.
And i hope it leaks out of the tip
All the problems are because of the lac of the shaft increasing the efficiency
The most efficient poocano
What's critical is that the tip of the shaft is near the ocean so you can have a safe outlet point to stop all this flooding.
The shaft could drain both poocanoes through a series of dams.
The final episode could very well show the results of the dams failing catastrophically.
Loving how Matt makes engineering just look like solving the problems you just created with your previous solution.
That's _Civil_ Engineering for you.
Is that not what engineering is?
@@wta1518idk man I don’t see any difference between architecture and engineering, it’s basically just designing things, *right?*
@@fabristudios_officialThere's a different goal: Architects want to design things as "nice" as possible (whatever "nice" means for them), disregarding the function. Engineers want to design things as "functional" as possible (whatever "functional" means for them), disregarding the looks.
"On your right you'll see the architects themselves. Now if they ask you for a budget expansion or give you plans for a superfluous addition please just ignore them. We ask you not to indulge the architects."
I'm pretty sure that the more sewage drains you put in, the more sewage flows out, regardless of the city capacity. Adding more is just going to make it worse. The mechanic works the same as the water pumps - you can pump all the water in the world and you can drain all the water in the world. Just remove half of the drains at the top as long as you have enough for your city demand, and that should help.
You sound like an architect
@@AB-wf8ek 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@AB-wf8ek And that's why their complaining about it. I mean, we know wew they live.
@@wojciechbladowski542 Gówniany i chujowy kontent oglądamy, co?
i think the sewage outlets might output a constant flow of water, removing them could make the situation easier to handle
To be honest, I start to envy the architects. Maybe their live is a constant survival, but at least they don't get flooded with poo
They only drink it, bathe in it, and everything!
And it's not just poo, it's industrial waste too, spicy mixes!
*life
I found your channel a couple of days ago and then fell down the Engitopia poohole...I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Thumbs up from a fellow engineer!
Just wait until you find the timberborners
Cities Skylines was the second series I saw from you (first was Mini Motorways). I'm stoked to see more of it now!
Part of me wonders if it's not time for Engitopia: Season 2, however. You could take a leaf out of your Timberborners series and make an Architects Zone from the beginning (so your city is designed with it in mind instead of having poo-cano problems).
Love the chaos, Matt. Keep it up mate xx
Not to tell you your business, but when Poocano II fills up, it's going to backflow into Poocano I. However, the banks of the canal are lower than the walls of the inlet to Poocano I, so it's just going to flood poo everywhere as soon as Poocano II is full.
Waste pipes output a fixed volume, you can delete some to stop the excess supply of fluid.
You can see this guy is definitely an architect. He built a hole to hold poop but didn't put an outflow.
The boat poo cenal
HERETIC HERETIC HERETIC HERETIC!!!!
Theres no need for outflow. You just put a poopond at the bottom and pump it back to the top.
Idk why he connected it to the river
Your Cities: Skylines content is by far the crativest content I've ever seen!
Most people playing it nicely and this man is just a beautiful art of chaos
@@eriel-fu4305 Not Sun-Zu's Art of War its now RCE's Art of wonderful Engeneering ,
Juicy content
I love chaos
Fabulous tour! Better than Grand Canyon and Celebrity Homes combined! The Pooez Canal provides for such lovely vistas.
The boats going up that poop chute is my favorite part.
I think that 'the strongest shape', being in/under a flooded space, is good thing and a sign it is doing it's job well
14:16 Not like you to miss a pun, Matt: 'Gotta make the most of the shituation'.
This is by far the best series (and channel)!
Keep up the good work Matt!
Agreed
A beautiful symphony of over- and under-engineering.
You should use the disaster response/flood response buildings. They send out vacuum trucks to suck up the flooded water
Architects - "how many useless bits can I stick on this building before it collapses?"
Engineers - "how much can I take off this building before it collapses"
Architects and engineers, why did it collapse? Huh, really? l didn't think of that.
Construction workers: *Why are we still here? To suffer*
try to delete some poo pumps to lower the amount of poo water getting disposed of maybe it will work.
@14:14 i love how your laughter made it sound like "don't let the poo get you down, you've gotta make the most of the shituation" 💩
RCE, listen, decrease the sewage pumps amount by half at least, they are the source of trouble, so you have to tweak the amount of sewage pumps by hand to maintain both poo-canoes.
Bro UA-cam is definitely made by architects lol when I first opened ur vid It had no sound😂👍🏽
Yea I got a 30 minute ad
You actually are correct, there is such a thing as a software architect, they essentially work directly with the domain designer and make design decisions for how the code structure will be…
@@InvisibleSquids - And then hands it over to a Software Engineer to actually make the plans into reality? 😀
@@LHyoutube that's often what usually happens, but there are cases where the 'engineers' in a code base are the architects pulling double duty. Better software is made by engineers who's sole focus is designing the code to work and work well, when you throw an architect in there, you get code that looks good, and probably doesn't work well, lol
In order to fix the flooding issue you can expand the river going to the ocean
I have very strong feeling, that poocanoos, are going to be a base for a strongest shaped poo containment.
I would love to see rce do a actually legit cities skyline series.
But i do like the madness lol
I like how this started as a genuinely good city and now it has ascended into this
I love how proud of yourself you are about your boat tour working 😆 Lots of great views for sure!
I’m way more invested in this city than I ever thought I would be
He started out with the best of intentions, to use Cities Skylines to explain real-world civil engineering concepts like why T-intersections are preferable over four-way crossings for safety reasons and how the approach roads need a certain amount of setback for visibility, etc. Only to now find his city has not just one, but *two* poo volcanoes surrounded by phallic roads connected with spaghetti interchanges, plus a dam across a lake, and a sunken neighborhood protected by water pumps, and physics-defying ferries which sail not only upriver but also uphill, and airplanes that fly safely through buildings, and a penal colony for architects… It’s wonderful!
No matter how much crap this game flings your way, you're always able to flush out the problem.
This is my favorite series on UA-cam. TRCE you’re what I aspire to be in life, and I thank you for doing what you’re doing.
New band idea - Poo-rillaz - On Architect Hill
"Up on Architect Hill
There's a poo-covered tree
Are you here for the wee?
Engineers looking out on the day
Of an architect dream"
"Turdal surges" got me laughing hard, thanks for that! :D
the point in the day where there's a sudden surge of poo is about 7:30 in the morning on average. Also, we need engitpoia to build poo dykes
'Poo dykes' sounds like a genre of porn that you really don't ever want to click on! 😂
"When you're flooded you can no longer be efficient."
Speak for yourself there guy.
Idea: Build a Arcitect Prison Island in the other poocano. Might call it Poopaktraz
Architraz?
This is definitely my favorite series!! Thank you for bringing it back!!
I've been impatiently waiting for the next Cities: Skyline episode, and it did not disappoint!
more pls ✌️😎
Water is like the only natural predator of cities skyline saves. I spent 20 hours stitching together an underground transits station. Like day later the lake over yonder decided it was now a geyser. Flooded the transit station. So I removed the water asset and flattened the lake. Didn't matter. I now bad bugged water sources in several places. Sae la vie.
Never mind the poocanos, how about the super-powered engines on those boats, taking them up ridiculously steep gradients?!
Or the super-strong hulls, given they didn't care about the concrete walls at the poocano / canal boundary...
This is how property value works in Engitopia:
Anywhere near the Poocano, is 1$ to purchase. Anywhere near the lake is 5$, and litterally anywhere else is $100 000 dollars. *As long as Matt doesn't ever visit that place that is to cause Poonamis, Terdalwaves and sinkholes.*
0:50 Dosn't being 'flooded' actually make it more efficient? 😉
Hey Mat
U should engenier a tunnel/bridge out of the under side of lol volcano 2.0 and make it run back up to above of architects island so they drown in their own feasses
This series is, with a distance, my top favourite show ever! I don't understand why Netflix hasn't signed you up yet. Or have they tried? We don't need another sequel of Games of Thrones, THIS is way more interesting. Yes, I am serious.
12:30 Call it Birmingham Mat, because it is dodgy.
We need a full series of this !!
You can change the intensity of disasters to make your sinkholes larger and hold more flood water, then you COULD use your super pumps to get rid of the water and fill it in. Or simply leave the giant hole
12:33 the "spaghetti way" junction
ME: So, now you've got an brand new poocano. What do you wanna do with it?
RCE: Yasss!
"Oh I've seen that one.... wait, 9 hours ago? Back into the poop we go!!!"
Now that you have all the tools and things unlocked, wouldn't it make more sense for the architects to live down low, and the engineers and everyone else to live up high? MEANING, use the terrain tool to raise the entire map height or most of it. This way, when you make a sink hole or need to drain something, it will actually be a proper sink hole or poop hole... make the architects live in the poop hole down low, in everyone else's poop.
yoo matt crazy vids man I love the humor and chaos of cities skylines by far my fav series!!!
I hope the folks on the boat tours around architect hill get proper PPE for the trip, only architects should be breathing that air in.
"You can see people poo in waves you can see the little turdal surges"... you win the pun of the day sir.
Just digging large holes is actually how Texas unironically handles flooding. No joke.
As a wind turbine engineer, my heart goes out to all those poor souls that get stuck with maintaining these turbines. That shit is not going to be easy💀
9:00 lol i did not think the game engine worked like that, its like the tsunami used the existing water to continue traveling like it never hit land... a tsunami extender...
A solid idea, make another part of the city a poop Venice. Cheers from Colorado!
“Turdal surges” 😂😂😂 that’s a top notch pun mate
Because this guy is british, he really makes me think American English and English are completely different languages
*looking at the waters of the city *
"everything is poo? "
"allways has been."
if I remember right, the flooding didn't happen until AFTER you deleted a pipe you thought went to nothing. perhaps you should redo some of the pipes so the right connections are restored
Me just getting into the game: oh look, a real civil engineer playing this game. Can't wait to see beautiful, efficient tips and projects.
First video:
13:03 - still think it was a missed opportunity to call it scatlantis...
You win the internet for today Sir! 🥇😂
@@LHyoutube Thanks :) Apparently it's too high brow for most people, because this is the second time I've posted this (first was when he did the Atlantis video), and you were the first one to appreciate the pun.
That small little island on looks his is probably the home of the engineers.
Thanks Matt for continuing engitopia
I love this channel. Matt always makes me laugh.
Same 🤣
If you're trying to play properly then automatic bulldoze is actually a bad mod to have. If the buildings are always vanishing before you can see why they're abandoned then it makes it harder to figure out what problems your city has. Not relevant to this video I know, but since the mod came up I just thought I'd mention it.
Counterpoint: when you flood all of your city with gigantic torrents of poo, the individual problems of any individual buildings become largely irrelevant 😂
@@LHyoutube this is very true 😂
Your "Atlantis" is really like Mexico-City. A lake that is forced dry with machines and with a city on top.
Love this series so much
“I’d love to go for like a minimalist canal”… that sounds like ARCHITECTURE
honestly surprised that you didn't name the new area "the Balls" or some variation thereof.
14:11 need to expand the river, a few more branches would probably do well.
"With the house on fire in the background, this is perfect"😂😂😂
The architects struck back by crudely diverting the poo to the Engineers! This is definitely an act of war!
If this town had a nuclear reactor it might as well be the town from Infra
Yes, for some reason that lone shipping container he pointed out gave me some serious Infra vibes! 😂
4:25 for anyone who watches F1 that truck is like Alonso in Monaco hahaha
@14:00 RCE switching to full blood English dude portrait in every movie
12:05 Welcome fellow engineers to RCE VOYAGE of Engitopia on the poo canal
. Main attraction Architects sucks hill .
As a physician, I’m having a panic attack just thinking of all the disease your Pootopia has caused those engineers. I hope it has socialised medicine.
Love this series... Cant wait for next
I think water is probably seeping through the sides of the poocano. Because it’s made out of dirt instead of solid stone and water passes through dirt. At least it does in real life.
I absolutely loved the suer canal tour!
This series devolved faster then NikoadoAvacado
Secret architect Matt made the whole engitopia to attract maximum amount of engineers. Then he made architect hill to keep the architects safe ( they have water filters at home). Then he flooded the entire city with poo water to forcefully make engineers and their kids drink that water and kill them.
I wonder how long it will take before it's going to be realised that by lowering the dykes on the canal the canal will overflow once the second hole fillls up.
from the shape of the city near the high way mess, you should call it spaghetti and meatballs
There's a certain sense of irony and humor in the wording in terms of what led to there being "logs at the airport"! I imagine there's more than one kind of log at the airport after that flood!
Yes, and he made that joke LOL.
... Turdal surges... The engineers are also surrounded by poo... Sewers Canal... This video was hilarious!
I want to see this efficiently designed city again
4:26 Had me dying out of laughter
never thought i would be able to sit through a 20 minute video of someone doing nothing but cleaning up poop. But i did it
Yes I love these cities skyline videos!
You could probably make the Poocanoe and Sewers Canal Poocanoe more efficient by using them as the base for a stronger shape...
This is my perfered content to watch when im on my break at work
A personal funny thing:
When RCE completed the second _'Poocano'_ , I also happened to watch an AD about 'Geotechnical Software 5' with its 'water flow' simulation module 😂
