Very useful video thank you! Just an update (possibly due to change in design) - you can now unscrew each pin from the hub instead of getting to it from the black top. It unscrews easily (for 4 out of the 6 pins on my particular tent). Should be easier than coming in through the top. Good luck!

Useful and entertaining repair demo. I haven't had any issues w my hornet 1p. Yet. Probably a good idea to get extra splint and cord to have on hand. On inspecting my poles, I see where the cord is somewhat worn where it rests on the pole edges when stored. Might be good to store in full extended position. Maybe not practical for some. Thanks!

Wrap sections of duct tape around your splint for storage, then when you need them just unwrap and apply to each end.
Will 1/8, 3/16 or 5/16 work on a small pup tent? Is it my choice, just a weight issue?
