Tbh, they planted that lobster in that sauce that one time and he goes "and you wonder why I don't like your sauce" as he pulls out a dead lobster body. That was actually planted by the show.
They’re still open and doing well too! I really loved that family along with a few of the other Greek families he’s helped (who are also still open and doing well).
Seriously! You’d think someone would have snapped and flipped out at him eventually, if for no other reason than that all the screaming and sorrow makes it a terrible environment to have to work in.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case, but he doesn’t ever really seem inebriated to me, and they’ve shown plenty of people drinking on the job, but you never see that with Jake, which typically wouldn’t be the case with an alcoholic, especially one who seems miserable AF at work. Likewise if he’s on something, you’d think there would be times where he’s more peppy or edgy or whatever, but he seems to just be consistently in a shitty mood and responds with yelling - though he doesn’t seem to be at the restaurant for very long each day so maybe he’s able to abstain for that period of time.
I’ve been scrolling for a few minutes and this is the first comment i see about el greco. The man is most probably high as fuck all the time and he might even take pills or some shit. He’s slow as fuck, has slurred speech, anger outbursts and he can’t focus on anything without feeling tired or yawning. I’ve been around addicts for a while now and I’ve taken some stuff too, he’s so not clean nor sober. I just think it’s sad he talks to his mother that way and is a nuisance to everyone around him
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this episode but i did forget about it, I just wanna say how dare Shelly weather she came round or not That man deserves an apology Gordon was so disrespected it was sad to actually watch even tho she supposedly changed it round I was sad to see Gordon being spoken to in such a way
I hate the idea that your parents "giving you a restaurant" is considered this amazing thing that the children should just accept. Hey your parents bought this thing, it's going under and now it's your problem and you can either have your family hate you because you don't want to have to shoulder their failures or you do it because you feel like you don't have a choice. There's so many children on these shows that clearly could have thrived in another environment but never had the chance to explore other options past the disaster their parents plop on them to retire. This is ignoring if the kids are likable or become likable, this is just an overall thing that seems to happen a lot in the business and it sucks. As for Natalie, she's kind of unlikable but my god, I can't imagine how I'd be if I was reminded that the restaurant was named after me bc that's what my parents chose. That puts a lot of pressure on her for simply existing. The dad literally was like, why isn't she fixing this place? I dunno, is it hers or is it yours?
He left his daughter in charge because he now has a medical issue. It was doing great before she took over, all she had to do was maintain that, not fix anything, but instead she neglected basically everything and let things fall apart. I agree though, it was her fathers passion, not hers - I’m surprised he didn’t just delegate things to his wife, she seems to be there as often, if not more, than Natalie.
it's so crazy to find out that 80% of the restaurants he helps end up closing and only 20 as of last year have managed to turn things around and survive. I wonder if they have to pay something for him to come like they do in Bar Rescue bc that was super suck if you're already in debt and pay for him to come and you end up failing anyways. Seems like him coming to your business would be a sure-fire way to guarantee success.
The reason they fail is because the increase in business. Once a business appears on tv of any kind it sees a spike in business from viewers. if the owners return to shit food the increase in business ends up bitting them in the butt, as then increased negative reviews and just like covid did with the service industry it just expedites the restaurants eventual closure
It’s typically because those people are already in massive debt, you’d have to be INSANELY busy to crawl your way out of half a million or more of debt before it bites you in the ass. 🤷🏻♀️
oh please resentment towards the son in the years when they are not thinking with their heads. and so bad that he ignored him for years. this is funny. Aros is a handsome and soulful boy, with a stupid head like a young man. everyone goes through a strange period in their youth. they punished him too much. the very fact that he was in the restaurant, agreed to film, embarked on this journey with his parents shows his dedication to the family restaurant.
That's literally what I thought but this isn't supposed to happen. They put down traps and the mice should become trapped. This one was probably poisoned meaning it ate poison and crawled off to die... when you think of this it's even more ridiculous and dangerous.
State licensed exterminator here (you have to pass the exam) and the reason why we use poison rodent baits with the delayed reaction time is so they can leave before you have a bunch of dead mice in the walls. Snap traps just keep the decomposing bodies in the building longer, and glue traps we just used to monitor areas for activity. Also, there are a lot of places that get regular preventative service, biweekly for some restaurants, more like monthly for bars and laundromats. I don't eat fast food, but I can say in general they're the cleanest restaurants because they have cleaning schedules that need to be checked off, and the equipment is on casters to roll out and clean behind. Also, everything is tiled so easier to steam clean.
The only thing that bugs me about Michon's that no one seems to address is that the dad said "It's my dream to own a restaurant and name it after my kid" which is beautiful and all but everyone ragging on Natalie but she never said she ever wanted to own or run the restaurant. Her parents just decided that was her future. And if she never wanted it, why would she kill herself for it? It doesn't make her spoiled to not want to be a restaurateur. (But I am glad she decided to wise up and get the place together)
The $200k Blackberry's was in debt was in the garbage can and on the floor. So ugly too. When you see an owner admit the shrimp was tough because they left it on too long but served it anyway and you see macaroni that looks like vomit that tells you there are really low standards in the food presentation and your food is your money. Your not selling decor (thought it's horrible) you are selling food and at the end of the day listen to your customers and change what they say is bad. Like G says people vote with their feet and won't always say something but when you have an empty place and the ones there are unsatisfied and try to tell you they all are speaking louder than if the place was packed.
It seems to be a pattern that they need a menu updates, fresh decor and more organization in a kitchen. Why then did these owners act surprised every single episode? It's like they don't even watch the show that they agree to be on.

I feel awful for the greek restaurant... That man worked so hard for so long and he got nothing for it... Im so glad Ramsey came to help him ❤️
That's my favourite turnaround, how the family rift was healed as well.
Me too, a few of the Greek places he did were awesome and had great families. They’re all still open and doing very good too!
They’re still open and doing well too! I really loved that family along with a few of the other Greek families he’s helped (who are also still open and doing well).
@@IrishColinthe one with Mike and Ari’s ?
2:32:32 - Chef Mike, I know they did you dirty, but know that you will forever live on in my memory.
"I'm not gonna let him defeat me."
Brother you're defeated by default,he aint gotta do anything
soul food on a wok is crazyyy
Definitely nasty work
give Todesha from Michons a raise she has me dying 😂
I'm really surprised why nobody beat the crap out of that guy for disrespecting his mama like that.
Or shouted at or had a word with him at least. The guy is a man child.
Totally, what a big baby. The one person you treat right at very least is your mother
Seriously!
You’d think someone would have snapped and flipped out at him eventually, if for no other reason than that all the screaming and sorrow makes it a terrible environment to have to work in.
Every evening I get on UA-cam, and every evening UA-cam suggests a video with one more episode of kitchen nightmares added to it
That guy Jake from El Greco either drinks or uses. Video games my left foot.
I just think it’s sad he talks to his mother that way and is a nuisance to everyone around him
I agree, Jake is definitely on drugs!
Yeah I could tell too
@@ms.annthropic6341well Gordon might not either to the average person but he was mad high on coke. He talked about it. If you know, you know.
shelly walking away was peak disrespectful
And not inviting him onto her office!
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this episode but i did forget about it, I just wanna say how dare Shelly weather she came round or not
That man deserves an apology Gordon was so disrespected it was sad to actually watch even tho she supposedly changed it round I was sad to see Gordon being spoken to in such a way
😂 Kiki calling Jake a lazy smelly bastard was SO satisfying!
I’ve wouldn’t be as forgiving as Gordon after being blamed for planting the mouse!
I wonder if the chitterings killed the mouse?
So thats where "finally some good fucking food" came from lol
If I ever had a restaurant I would trust Gordon Ramsey over anyone to tell me what is right and what is wrong don't get why people don't like him
that sous chef guy and mama Mary are good people :')
Her mom is such a sweetheart she was so thankful for Gordon. I hope she’s still happy and well. ❤️
I find it disrespectful how she laughs when being told he throwing up in the bathroom
fr, i would take a break from cooking if i made someone sick
@ 57:48 had me dying inside when they added the chomp sound effect
it's so crazy to find out that 80% of the restaurants he helps end up closing and only 20 as of last year have managed to turn things around and survive.
Shelly had no more use for Chef Ramsay after getting all new equipment
She didn’t deserve his help. Her mother should’ve pushed her out and made Mateen the head chef.
It baffles me everytime, that owners with NO cooking experience tell a michelin chef that he's wrong and has no idea what he's talking about..
I loved Mama and I wish Gordon could take Manteen with him he was so interested in learning more.
I wished that too
Gordon won't even hire his own son
"Me angry! Gordon not like food mine, but it best!"
oh please resentment towards the son in the years when they are not thinking with their heads. and so bad that he ignored him for years. this is funny. Aros is a handsome and soulful boy, with a stupid head like a young man. everyone goes through a strange period in their youth. they punished him too much. the very fact that he was in the restaurant, agreed to film, embarked on this journey with his parents shows his dedication to the family restaurant.
“Finally something edible” -Ramsey as he sees the Greek son spinning a table with his teeth 😂
That phone call to her husband was so fake she didn’t even say goodbye just hung the phone up😂
13:35. The mouse is probably dead BECAUSE of the exterminator
That's literally what I thought but this isn't supposed to happen. They put down traps and the mice should become trapped. This one was probably poisoned meaning it ate poison and crawled off to die... when you think of this it's even more ridiculous and dangerous.
@@shohannie yeah, they say they hire an exterminator but they probably just drop poison themselves
Yea but he also killed me tryna blame it on the chef 😅😅
No it ate the chitterlings 😮😮😮😮
Not grandma putting her foot down and shutting up her daughter 🤭🤭😂😮💨
I live to hear ramsay call people a donut lmao😂😂😂😂
And donkey lol
Gordon has changed the world and i hope he lives beyond 100 yrs old
“Your name is only on the building, get it right.” HAHA
You know Shelly, my 6 year old niece also invents problems so she can get mad and leave and yet somehow, she’s more mature than you lol
"i think you planted that mouse"😂😂 classic
i wonder, if her catering business was this successful, why did she need all that money from her mom?
The only thing that bugs me about Michon's that no one seems to address is that the dad said "It's my dream to own a restaurant and name it after my kid" which is beautiful and all but everyone ragging on Natalie but she never said she ever wanted to own or run the restaurant. Her parents just decided that was her future. And if she never wanted it, why would she kill herself for it? It doesn't make her spoiled to not want to be a restaurateur. (But I am glad she decided to wise up and get the place together)
Some of the things Gordon says are totally out of pocket and I LOVE IT
"i really think chef ramsey is going to love the food" like.. have you never seen the show before?
"Finally, some good fucking food." 😂😂😂
Maybe because they remodel the kitchen and restaurant? It’s a completely different change, of course they will act surprised.
