Child prodigies are famously interesting. Steven Alexander is another, his specialty is jazz. The one question I would have asked is, “What aren’t you good at? What vexes you?” How can anyone NOT be dumb struck by what the human brain can do? Not to mention how does her brain differ from the rest of us? Stunning!
LOVE The PART , where She SAYS WHAT (THEY) REALLY WANT TO HEAR IS ! She's eliminating the middle man . She didn't say here's what I want you to do or here's what I want!
So, she's British? I mostly hear that when she speaks, but I also keep getting hints of so many other European languages in her voice, Dutch, German, even Russian every now and then. Am I just crazy or has her world travels (which I assume she's already had plenty of) at such a young age indelibly left an imprint on her use of language? She is certainly an amazing girl!
I am British too and I can tell you for certain that when she speaks English she has a thoroughly English accent, albeit an extremely posh one. Yes, she learnt Hebrew when she was younger, and she is now learning German. But she was born and brought up in southern England to English speaking parents. Her accent is particularly "pure" because she was home schooled and didn't have the experience of hearing children at school speaking with a mix of local accents, which would probably have toned down her fairly strong posh accent. Another factor which may be influencing your thinking re. hints of Dutch or German or Russian, is her insistence (being a perfectionist) on pronouncing the names of composers, and the titles of pieces of classical music as they are in their "native" language. So in the case of Mozart she will pronounce his first name, Wolfgang, as " Volf Gang" (which is correct) rather than "Woolf Gang", which is how many English speakers mistakenly pronounce it.
I would prefer to be the first Alma than to be a second Mozart!

Bravo! Very well said! "I would rather be called the First Alma instead of the Second Mozart!! WELL DONE, YOUNG LADY, WELL DONE! 🥰😻😎👍
The mysteries of the human mind. Absolutely amazing.
This child is, for sure, a gift from God for our times. What I hope is that this child, much more advanced than any adult in many ways, will eternally keep the soul of a child...
"will eternally keep the soul of a child..."
She will - have no worries on that score ! The more spiritually _mature_ the Soul, the more _youthful_ it becomes: Alma, I think, is a perfect example of that 'paradox'. God bless her..........................
Didn't hear her parents or her or Anybody else say; Any thing about God Almighty Himself or His only Son Jesus Christ or the Endwelling gift of His Hopy Spirit. this phrase "will eternally keep the soul of a child" Is referred by both *Luc & Marvinc999" obviously are 1 in the same. Lol pagen>Trash verbiage
@@acertiger591 Nonsense. I have nothing to do with Marvinc999, and you should be ashamed of your comment...
11.53 little Helen just casually climbs up the rope to the tree house, which is about 2-3 times her height 😳👏
These girls are also fit and strong!!
That was Beautiful !! May you have a long and prosperous career, Alma !
She is truly amazing, our own lifetime composer, musician, singer… we are blessed, thank you Alma 💖
This girl is my new HERO!!
Underneath Alma's genius is the resurrection of a style of teaching perfected in the famous musical orphanages of Venice and Naples, and harshly suppressed in the 20th century. To learn more google: Partimento. She is truly a prodigy of the old, and wonderful school.
Charming documentary.Thankyou for explaining what a cadenza is.
alles an ihr und von ihr ist wundervoll. Hoffe es kommt noch vieles von ihr.
This is AWESOME. Some of us heard those notes early in our heads and then put them into dance also. Life in it's greatest form and kudos to people who are gifted with great imagination and can express themselves well beyond on their years. Simply stated been there, done that and want to share it. YES YES YES!!!! Great job Alma. Keep doing what you are doing!!!!! We like to hear it.
Bravo, Alma! I can't wait to see how your journey unfolds. 💙🧡💙
She must be a ' Reborn ' sole, truly blessed,
Even Scott Pelley cannot resist being a little schmaltzy here. For a quite non-schmaltzy interview, see the video, "Matt spricht mit Deutscher." In that, Gerald Matt also manages to establish a good rapport with her. Alma Deutscher is quite nicely professional in both interviews.
Imagine having the gift without the support. I love humans. ❤️ Brilliant 👏.
Well done, Alma ! ---------Stay with it , you make our sad world, so much better with your music.-------------------WolfSky9, 74 y/o
Anyone else notice the size of her pupils? And that's with bright production lights in her face... The music is amazing
i was just wondering the same thing and searching the comments to see if anyone else had. i wonder if it's a trait of her highly receptive nervous system.
drugs..
SHE CAME FROM HEAVEN TO EARTH TO TEACH US THE ANGELS MUSIC
What an excellent interviewer Scott Pelley is!
What an articulate and very creative young woman. Go Alma! What an ending. Wow!
The way she speaks, the "accent", reminds me of Jaqueline Dupre.
We are truly privileged to have such a gifted musical prodigy living with us. She is a true treasure and joy in this confused and unhappy world.
She has grown up, and there have been far greater prodigies, about whom hou probably don't know, as your TV box does not feed them to you.
"I would prefer to be a first Alma than a second Mozart!"- Alma D. ..Indeed Alma....indeed, and so you are the first Alma. Well put well done!
Well, no Mozart
I like that she has composers in her head that she can go to for assistance. Very supportive.
Alma is remarkable Alma is beautiful. An absolutely delightful human being.
Alma said she doesn't remember the improvisations she does but machines do. Bravo.
Debussy also played many improvisations that were never saved.
Alma is True Angel of Future Music 🎶👼🏻
I never get bored listening to her Music
No matter how many times I listen to her music it always feels new and fresh exiting and relaxing and extremely Soulful, Music that goes. Straight to the Heart as it comes Straight from her Heart/Soul 💞 that moves me every time.
Thanks a lot for airing this again.

Amazing child! What a Gift to this World!
The scene where Alma walks around, casually singing is wonderful.. ❤
However, I hope she is able to relax.
I get the impression that this IS the way she relaxes!
@@jenniebugs1 if so, that's not good.
@@kikiu2619 why not? I think she switches back and forth between her imaginary world and real life. Nothing wrong with it. She is a very special girl.
Alma is so very precious
Brava Alma! I hope to see you perform live someday!
Stunning!
Speechless.
LOVE The PART , where She SAYS WHAT (THEY) REALLY WANT TO HEAR IS ! She's eliminating the middle man . She didn't say here's what I want you to do or here's what I want!
I bet prince always had melodies popping in his head
Wow! Thank you, this was wonderful!
She is a happy joyful kid...that is most important...
She is an adult!
Her father is an Israeli born linguist. Alma speaks English, Hebrew, and German.
My biggest wish is, that Alma one day writes a cadenza for Mozarts Piano Concerto No. 20, K. 466. I would purchase the cd in a hartbeat.
Phenomenal talent and a sweet personality! Pure genius!!
