I am probably the most untalented person on earth. What I am is an audience. When I see and hear incredibly wonder artists like this girl…I am totally amazed at the talent and gratefully receive the gift these incredibly wonderful people give us. God bless you Emily and thank you for blessing us with your God given gift.
I have met Emily in person and I have to say it was an awe-inspiring experience. Genius comes along once in a long while but is often accompanied by a diva personality and a big ego. Emily's quiet humility almost knocks the breath out of you. And she seems surrounded by a power and a force of intelligence that's tactile in its presence. A true gift of God. One falls in love immediately.
And what a lovely family Emily is from. Her family is the embodiment of class. It is no surprise that she's turned into a well-spoken, respectful and very grounded young woman.
I am a 64 Y/O man, and I found this very uplifting at a time in my life where I struggle with pain. Emily helped me forget about my affliction, if only for a few moments. Thank you Emily.😂
Yes! Music comes from within… deep within the person. It is an unusual sparkle and zest. It oozes out… it cannot be stopped. Emily’s parents seem to be well grounded themselves and that will help Emily and her siblings develop into well grounded adults. Good luck and live well Bear Family. 😄👍
What a fantastic person, a young girl, talented musician, composer & talented family. Playing with world class musicians 4-6x her age but all have one common interest-making music.
She is an amazing talent, she was born this way and the teachers helped her to become better! They are not the reason for her talent, she is the reason for her talent! I guess the people who actually hit the dislike button and then proceed to post negative comments are just jealous of her and her talent!
What an extraordinary young lady! So very talented and yet so very grounded and respectful. She obviously has excellent parents and mentors. She's an utter delight. Kudos to you Ms. Emily Bear!
Wait, Steve. You forgot the other quote, this one an Emily Bear quote. So good I copied it down in my Good Words file on my phone. The context was when, upon first playing for Quincy Jones, she chose to play “Fly me to the Moon”, a song that QJ first arranged for Frank Sinatra, which led to His being discovered. Q told Emily that story and then explained to her that it Wasn’t Coincidental that she had chosen That particular song to play for him. She completely agreed, explaining to the Interviewer, “A coincidence is just God’s way of remaining anonymous.”
If every child had parents like Emily, we would all be doing what we are called to do. Thank God for people like this family and their teachers. It is never too late to follow your dreams.
Emily is truly a gifted young lady. Her parents have guided all their children to be thoughtful, kind and talented kids. To her parents, one thought, please look after her being around so many grown ups who can and will take advantage of her talent but also personally. It worries me when young children are left in trust with people who may not be that honorable. Congratulations to her parents for their amazing guidance of Emily's talent and her life. What an amazing relationship she has with Qunicy Jones, a legend, and Emily, you are a legend in your own right.
What an incredible gift. Emily is good but it's her grandmother that needs to be recognized. She is the real star here. The idea of recognizing the talent from a practiced scale is amazing. Emily has the gift, no doubt. it's absolutely wonderful that she's been so accepted. Quincy, Thank you for what you're doing for us. This is a journey I will watch for as much time as God gives me. God willing.
Absolutely fantastic. Emily has amazed me ever since I first saw the clip of her first appearance on Ellen. Her CD, "Diversity" is brilliant beyond words.
Wow, I have the biggest Goosebumps after hearing that last song. I only wish I was there in person. What a talent ! God bless you Emily your heart, dear soul, and your beautiful mind. I think you are truly an angel on this Earth ! What a gift. 😎
There are tons of kids who have had the opportunity to take lessons from the greatest musicians on earth (see Tiffany Poon, Anna Larsen, George Li). None of them have the composing abilities that Emily has. She's not famous for her classical playing, but for her ability to compose pieces, sometimes very complex pieces, many based on an image or an idea, off the top of her head without stopping or reworking anything. That can't be taught, no matter how good the teacher.
Wow!! There are no words to describe the beauty of the talent that pours out of this young lady!! Emily Bear, I would just love to be at one of your productions!
I cannot fathom having that creativity and ingeniousness is such a little body. She is absolutely taleted and I am so happy that I was able to cross paths with her because of Bridgerton the Musical. I really hope that this puts her more on the spotlight and she is able to follow in the footsteps of Quincy.
Emily is very successful and talented. I don't understand why she gets so little coverage. I was hooked after watching her perform Rhapsody In Blue. She was only 13 and a full orchestra Soloist.
Music is life. God gifted this child as were those who played in all previous centuries. The innocence of this child is how all of us should be. Her talent will inspire and bless generations to come. Thank you for this recording. 8-)
Instead of the bashing I see on here from some obviously jealous people, we should be thankful we still have people in the world who have such wonderful talent and the willingness to let it grow and touch us all. Fame is not for everyone and I bet sometimes she wishes she could be an ordinary little kid. Some people need to be a little less shallow and develop their talents if they truly have them and back off the hate speak.
Ola Brent You have right. There are a lots of jealous people how can do nothing by therselfs and giving nehatif comments about Emily Bear. Jealous people how profile ther selfs as musicak exoerts. But when you see the profiles of this people, you can seen only Trolls. Trolls how only want to do is blamed Emily and others who regonize Emily's unique talent. Iám also a fan of Emily and her fanmily; becous my grand children how are in the same age (and playing music and singing also), as Emily and the two other musical children with videos on us channel are fans and be inspired and uploaded the videos of Emily and the two other kids. And so i'm a fan becomes. But if you can read the comments at that video, than is internet full of Trolls and jealous peple. Jealous at children how can realy makes music. Their write the mist terrible (and sexual perversion) things as comment on this videos where also young children can read that. But i;am the filter and remove this comments of this frustated idiots. I dont want that children can read this. Emily and the two other kids inspired millions of other children and adults in the world. And we may happy and lucky to.can watch and lisning this three kids on UA-cam. or at live concerts.
That grin, that grin, that grin will always tear me apart. What an elegant, talented, but humble person. Gives me hope for the future of our children and grandchildren. Thank you, Quincy Jones, for guiding her in the right direction. There's a reason he has 27 Grammy's. It's because he recognizes and encourages TRUE talent, not the wannabes and the flash in the pan "one hit wonders". He can see the future of true talent, and nourishes it with his own talent and wisdom. Thank you. "The music is only as good as the person you are". What a wonderful, inciteful and very true quote!.
Amazing & this is nine years later. I’m watching this the first time. Her parents must be truly proud what a precious gift she has. An awesome interview. I wish her & family the very best. ❤
What a beautifully done documentary of a very beautiful and inspiring story. The "comments" section of such videos should be disabled, as unfortunately there will always be one too many people who feel the need to write their misguided or just plain jealous thoughts. This is about a little girl who was born musically gifted. Yes, playing a C scale at two years old is a very big deal (I'm a piano teacher, if you must know). Most children's intuition is to bang on the keys.
also i see people arguing that she's not a prodigy or whatever, but does it really matter? just appreciate her immense talent for what it is and stop fussing over labels..
There will always be people who put down young talented people, but we should value them for what they contribute to the advancement of music, and who add to the quality of our lives through their sharing.
this is not about money!! this is pure God given talent. a girl who has a heart and mind for music!! she needs it like just like she needs air. what separates her is not the money. it's the pure knowledge and understanding that she was born with! don't blame it on the material things that make her so good!! I have followed her for a long time and she is very different than any other musician I have ever seen!
Can't stand those who attribute her incredible talent solely to money and parental or teacher input. Although that's definitely helped, it goes much deeper than that. Surely that is obvious. If it was due only to external factors like money, and good teaching, there would be hundreds of Emily Bears out there. There aren't! She's a phenomenon...
She was asked “Where do you get this?”, she smiles and points up and then said “I don’t know I guess It comes from my heart”. Both expressions confessed a creative force that is in and around us. God put that force in us when he created us. That force is all around us as all of the wonder and awe inspiring creation move us. She knows something that we don’t know yet, and I cannot wait to hear it.
As a (mediocre) musician, practicing isn't really work, it's fun and joyous. At the end of every practice session I never felt the same as when I started it. I ALWAYS felt better😊
Em. I am a wounded warrior who is now a youth pastor, I just want you to know I am so proud of you you are truly one of gods angels. And I listen to you to jus jeep me grounded and relaxed. Thank you so much for being my angel from god himself capt jay
When I see the wonderful talented young children 👧 like Emily and many others who are taking birth on this planet 🌎 makes me feel want to protect them and humanity.
My daughter lives in Rockford…I went to nursing school there. So much talent in Rockford. I studied voice at the music institute in Chicago. This vid is just delightful in so many ways.
A lovely film of an amazing, gifted young lady who is also a delightful little person. Emily, you have a great future ahead of you, no doubt about about it, and I offer you my most sincere best wishes.
"Gods way of remaining anonymous", another amazing gift to an already amazing person. There does exist hope for us all thanks in part, thanks to people like you Emily who we're gifted by that anonymous person those wonderful parents. May your mother wish for you come true.
Exceptional child, in a tender loving family, and spirit,, supportively reported. We are in the presence of awe, penetrating vibrancy, compassionate giving for all to enjoy, timely and unique.
I took piano 🎹 lessons as a kid but I didn’t have this kind of natural talent. She really plays well! I love to hear the Piano 🎹 played well. I hope she continues and gets better as she gets bigger. Her fingers are still fairly small. When she grows up her hands and fingers will be longer so her reach will improve. This will make it easy for her to play and play even faster. I wish her the best!
This is a wonderful series of interviews. I just cant say enough about Emily. Only that I am truly happy she is sharing her talent with the world. It makes it a little better place to be.
Emily is a most remarkable and gifted musical talent. She has abilities way beyond her tender age. It was a delight to listen to her perform! I hope to listen to more performances by this wonderfully talented young person in the future!!!
So very wonderful her playing touched my heart and brought me tears of happiness .I play a little but' nothing like her keep going may God Bless Mike Hughes
It hurts my eyes and ears to see and hear this wonderful talent! So different and compelling.. a million light years from the majority of the young people being doled out of America's education system today!
"To be happy... to have peace in her heart... to be a really good grown-up."
That's parenting.
Best wishes to you all.
Agree very much. See above.
So lucky to have a mom like that....who wants her to "be happy, at peace, a good grown up...."
omg I'm here when she is now composing "The Bridgerton Musical" and it's just amazing seeing how far she's come now.
Me too! I love her story
She is not a girl with gift, she is a gift to the world.
Where do you see her in 10 years?
wherever she wants to go.
damn. words to freaking live by.
Especially when stated by Quincy Jones!
I am probably the most untalented person on earth. What I am is an audience. When I see and hear incredibly wonder artists like this girl…I am totally amazed at the talent and gratefully receive the gift these incredibly wonderful people give us. God bless you Emily and thank you for blessing us with your God given gift.
And you have no idea how worthless we are without you
I have met Emily in person and I have to say it was an awe-inspiring experience. Genius comes along once in a long while but is often accompanied by a diva personality and a big ego. Emily's quiet humility almost knocks the breath out of you. And she seems surrounded by a power and a force of intelligence that's tactile in its presence. A true gift of God. One falls in love immediately.
This comment is so lovely, so articulate. I just wanted to say thanks for writing it!
Well, she doesn't have to brag or have the desire to.
The musical talent speaks for its greatness, and that,is undeniable.
I double that emotion.❤😊
I'm just normal kid who loves piano! I like inspiring kids!
I loved when she said I'm like Mozart!
She is a National Treasure. Kudos to her parents/family for keeping her grounded and well adjusted.
And what a lovely family Emily is from. Her family is the embodiment of class. It is no surprise that she's turned into a well-spoken, respectful and very grounded young woman.
Beautiful talent 😍

Its great to see a child being mentored in a safe, respectful, brilliant way. Totally opposite what Hollywood has done to its prodigies.
I am totally stunned. What a wonderful down to earth young lady with a huge God given gift which she is sharing with the world. Go Emily...
What a fantastic person, a young girl, talented musician, composer & talented family. Playing with world class musicians 4-6x her age but all have one common interest-making music.
She is amazing. If Anyone that knows her is reading this, tell her that she should follow her dream and keep working hard!!
she is actually composing her own songs now!
She is an amazing talent, she was born this way and the teachers helped her to become better! They are not the reason for her talent, she is the reason for her talent!
I guess the people who actually hit the dislike button and then proceed to post negative comments are just jealous of her and her talent!
You have right. This is the video of emily when she started as professional concert pianist at age 5 VIDEO - 5 Year Old Professional Concert Pianist.
Amen to that
A gifted girl was born in the right place at the right time! Thank you for her Grandma..... :)
Amazing story! I pray that she keeps her humble heart and shines in our troubled world.
There really is nothing that can be said. The music speaks for her.
What an extraordinary young lady! So very talented and yet so very grounded and respectful. She obviously has excellent parents and mentors. She's an utter delight. Kudos to you Ms. Emily Bear!
Every music lover should watch this lovely little documentary. This young lady is an inspiration to us all, in more ways than one---a gift to mankind.
This Quincey Jones quote is golden- "Your music is only as good as the person that you are."

God gave you a gift and He is glorified by your talents. Keep up the good work, Emily. I am truly awed by your gift. Such a sweet young lady!

Truly amazing and gifted lil lady! Share with your music loving friends, please.

❤❤❤ when one considers creation is winding down to see this creation is just marvelous wonderful

This is a wonderful series of interviews. I just cant say enough about Emily. Only that I am truly happy she is sharing her talent with the world. It makes it a little better place to be.
Emily is a most remarkable and gifted musical talent. She has abilities way beyond her tender

It hurts my eyes and ears to see and hear this wonderful talent! So different and compelling.. a million light years from the majority of the young people being doled out of America's education system today!
How can anyone not like her and her music!?
So talented prodigy. Born to play piano. Wow.
A flawless docu -- an amazing young lady and family -- incredibly inspiring at so many levels. Many Thanks !!
She is just absolutely amazing. The quintessential musical package. I want this CD...
This girl did what a young Dutch girl did; entered my heart and brought tears to my eyes.
Wow, there's no words. I'm floored. You go little lady ❤
As long she keeps her feet on the ground and not fall thru the pressure of publicity. she'll be heralded for years to come. And she'll deserve it!
I could listen to her play for hours.
I am stunned, what a beautiful human being with a Wonderful gift.
A precious moment. Life is beautiful.
Emily's gift and love for music is likewise a gift to all music-loving people of the world!
see how sweet and humble the mom is, too....
wow stunning performer from such a young age .. such talent!!
It would be lovely if she also pulled sacred music into her genres of composition since she would make a wonderful contribution there.
Let not argue and be happy that a little girl has found her dream and is living it . She obviously make beautiful music and puts her love into it.
Whenever I struggle to compose music, Emily is there to inspire me.
What a beautiful talented young lady! Just amazing!
