That little Norwegian show really rewrote the whole book about making an LGBTQ+ tv show. It paved the way for everything we see now even if people don't realize it. In my opinion it is still by far the best.
I agree with you 100%, having only seen it after watching Heartstopper and Young Royals - this is the Ur show. It's exceptionally good. The later shows are not copies or replicas - they're all quite different in fact - but what Skam did in 2016 was unprecedented. It's great that it's having a second life now.
The actor of Eskild actually said in interviews that that, now iconic, scene was surprisingly hard for him to do because he was actually in Isaks perspective IRL when they were filming... And so he had a LOT to unpack within himself during the process of filming this show.
I watched Skam in real time back in 2016 as the clips were droping and dear fucking god i remember so vividly watching that last clip. It's just one punch after the other: Emma outing him, Even kissing Sonja, Isak almost starting a fight with his friends. That last shot of Isak walking away, kicking stuff, falling to his knees... it's burned into my mind. It's brutal and it's honestly masterful, still gives me that feeling of utter and complete loneliness choking me all these years later
Loved this! Eskild’s speech was definitely among my top moments of this show, he found the perfect words Isak needed to hear. No one needs to be flamboyant or even be openly queer, but you do need to respect those who are. Pride parades and demonstrations even existing is incredibly important and the history of pride movements has to be taken seriously. And the horrible avalanche of one thing going wrong after another was really hard to watch. I remember being actually worried about him when he broke down on the pavement like that in the last shot.
❤your comment and Eskild, but rewatching this ep again, because…Skam, I wish Eskild would have acknowledged that in addition to Isak’s internal homophobia, he didn’t know another way to “be gay.” He’s the guy at the party in an illumunati shirt, not a hot pink wig. Maybe that’s the only part of the gay community he’s seen. Eskild could’ve acknowledged that, educated him like he did, but also acknowledge that there’s more than one way to gay. Isak is more Nas, not Lil Nas X. He only knows what he knows.
That scene with Eskild is freaking amazing. As for the scene in the locker room… the subtitles were different there. I don’t recall him wanting to put the “boyfriend label” on things, but tomato toe-mah-toe. Keep that whole convo locked in mind for future plot points though. 😊 Also, Skam is notorious for character growth and development. I love seeing them change and grow through these experiences. Isak and Even are no exception.
My Norwegian knowledge is pretty basic but I think Even says "if you got together with me" or something along those lines, so you're right, he doesn't explicitly say boyfriend.
Norwegian here: He asked what they'd think if they were together. as in a couple. but that's not a super serious thing at that age, which people who've watched season 1 and 2 already know. or just people who were in relationships when they were teens. teens do messed up stuff all the time, brain going through major reorganisation and all that.
Anyone in the comments considering Patreon, the uncut version of this episode is 1hr of fantastic commentary and reaction for Josh and Alex. It’s worth every cent for this episode alone ❤
Loved your reactions to the Eskild scene in particular ❤I love that they wrote this convo between two gay people and that you feel how Eskild’s speech doesn’t feel forced and ’woke’ for it’s own sake. You can really feel how sad and disappointed he was w him when he just came to be supportive😢🏳️🌈❤️
Midway through the reaction and I just feel like saying how great you both are at contextualizing your opinions. I hate when reactions are just people staring at a screen lol this is not a "watch party", I wanna hear people's takes on the show 😅 anyways you guys are great, appreciate! 🎉 Exited to tune in for all the next videos!!
I wish you released these more than once a week because I’m so excited for you guys to see where the season goes!! I’ve loved your insight so far though, I know it’ll only get better as more things start to unfold.
Have to say, watching this series as it was being released was a trip, seeing the segments drop on socials (as I recall the segments were released on Instagram in "real time" and then on NRK at the end of the week), and then waiting for the English translations was agony, especially for later scenes in the season. Eskild's speech was incredible, not because of the coming out aspect, but the idea having to fight for something (or someone) which comes into play a little later. Might be a generational thing, but I don't think Emma was out of bounds. Isak really led her on. Her reaction at the party was an incredibly authentic human moment regardless of whether you think it was right or wrong. It's one of the many scenes that makes Skam one of the best shows on TV. Also my heart melts a little bit every time my phone displays 21:21. If ya know, ya know.
SKAM has put me through so much torment at times and I don't know why but it's pretty enjoyable seeing other people suffer through those moments 😅 Even's behaviour is such a mindfuck the first time you watch this episode but hopefully you'll understand later on what was going on here. I love these reactions btw!
This is such an important episode. I think I’ve watched the shows in the same order you guys did. I watched Heartstopper first, then Young Royals, and then Skam. I can of course see how important Skam was in telling lgbtq+ stories. I loved the way the episode started and really I crave a scene like that for Simon & Wilhelm in Young Royals - just the time to be together and just be. The scene with Eskild was so hard to watch because Isak just kept digging a bigger hole, but everything Eskild said back was so so important. But yeah, these boys are confused and messy, but their journey across the season is beautiful.
Haha I'm the opposite, watched skam, then young royals, then heartstopper, all when they released. Skam still stands the test of time to me, and it's really cool to see people still discovering it now. It's amazing
I love looking back on Isak and Evens high chat about parallel universes so much! Because of course we got 7 international remakes of Skam, so technically we have seen their story remade, (all with varying degrees of differences) in German, French, Italian, Spanish and Belgian - which are all like parallel universes. I’m still so heartbroken we never got the Dutch season 3 - it was my favourite remake - it could’ve been so good!
The locker room subtitles are different than the version I watched. An important distinction - when Isak asks what Even’s parents would say about him, Even’s response is, “They would have loved you,” not “They’d love you.” That distinction becomes important to the story later.
The wait to hear your reaction to episode 5 is over! Thank you! Love Eskild’s talk with Isak. So important for people to hear. And some of what Isak said in the locker room to Even which wasn’t in your video informs Even’s actions later in this episode. It will become clear later on. The two clearly need to talk more to avoid causing heartache where none is necessary.
i have LOVED watching skam again with you two. You guys are so fun an insightful. I really hope you guys react to s4 too (sana's) because it's really important and just such a good season, 3-4 are the best in my opinion!
This is so good! I really hope you watch season 4 too, even if that's Sana's season, because it's also amazing. And the "bloopers" (which isn't really bloopers, more great behind the scenes clips), and you can't miss to react to the trailer for Skam season 3.
The conversation between Eskild and Isak is one of my favorite scenes of this series. I understand Isak's point of saying that people stereotyping gay people sucks, but he went way too far and I love everything Eskild said and of course everyone should be accepted for who they are. Emma is the worst, she wasn annoying from the beginning but after this she was just the worst
I love your reactions so much! You guys always make important points about being lgbt+ when there's a scene like the one with Eskild and I find it really comforting. This show came out (no pun intended) when I was 15 and figuring out my sexuality and it was really emotional for me and always stands out in my brain when I think of representation, especially with all the spin offs. I hope you guys can find time to react to DRUCK season 3 after this, it's the German version of SKAM and I hope you'll like it as much as I did. Enjoy watching!
Omg yes Druck is my absolute favorite remake. I hope @AStoryWorthTelling react to its 3rd season next. I love it so much it even came close to beating the og as my favorite.
love this reaction. i love this episode as well -- the journey it takes you on is such an agonizing one, but it has so many highs as well. when I first watched this show a few months ago, I was giggling when eskild first approached isak in his room but boy does that scene take a turn and keeps getting worse. it's tough to sit through lol, but it's definitely worth it.
I know people are going to drown you in requests for the remakes of Season 3. Generally there are THREE of them that people refer to: -Skam France -Skam Germany (Druck) -Skam Belgium (WTFock) France is steamy and omg the boys are incredibly hot. Sticks the closest to the Isak & Even storyline. Germany is a departure from the OG storyline and has actors that actually look the age. It’s tender, sweet, and tackles more LGBT subjects. WTFock is chemistry x10! They boys carry this season though, as the script leaves some plot holes. They are adorable though. (Skam Italia isn’t usually included because the chemistry just isn’t there TBH.) Hope that’s a little helpful in helping you navigate your next Skam binge, if we are lucky enough to have you do so! 💛xo
Lol. I’m embarrassed about how much time I’ve devoted to SKAM myself! Wish this show had been around when I worked with teenagers years ago. And even Love Victor raised many important issues people struggle with. (And yes , Eliot is one of the most beautiful looking people . My g_d! ❤️
Love how you’re mentioning how many Young Royals and Heartstopper similarities you notice knowing that SKAM has been the blueprint for all the shows we love and enjoy now, I still can’t believe it’s been so long already! 2016 feels like a lifetime away 🥲 Loved your reactions so far! ❤
You missed a few clues in the locker room scene with Isak and Even. And it looked like the subtitles at one point were under the wrong character. When Even asked Isak what his parents would think, Isak says his dad would be okay, but his mom would not because of her mental state. Isak then says something like " I don't want to be around crazy people." (That is why he lives with Eskild instead of home.) When Isak asks Even what his parents will think of him, Even says "They would have loved you." Then Even says good-bye and walks out, without giving Isak a proper kiss on the lips, as he had done just moments before at the beginning of the scene. Some of this was not shown in your edit, for time concerns, I suppose. These will be relevant to plot developments in upcoming episodes. The writing on this series is extremely good.
1. Thank you for giving me a reason to watch and access to understand SKAM for the first time. 2. Evan is acting very Bi-polar around people. Especially with those he seems to have an emotional connection with, like the girlfrield(forgot name) and Isak. 3. Non-gay that find out or figure out someone is non-straight should never try and dictate when is the right time for them to come "out of the closet" no matter what their prior interactions with them were. Not cool Emma, not cool. Non-gay folk need to understand that being 2016+ is irrelevant to a new Gay's self discovery timeline. Just because the times are better does not mean they are right or good for them. 4. Non-gays need to better understand the affect they have on Gays when they try to Out them or pull them out of the closet. This can be traumatic up to and including self harm. The very fact that Isak still sees "Gay life" the way he does speaks volumes to the progress we need to make in separating "masculine/feminine" concepts from being Gay. One can be Gay and Masc as well as being Straight and Feminine. Thank you guys for watching so many great shows with me over the years. You are the silent friends I have needed to get through all the loss over the years. I wish I could find friends like you that live nearby. But, until that happens, you keep me sane and happy. Thank you for all of that happiness.
Others have hinted at this, and I won’t be too explicit, except to say that you skipped on here the most important part of the conversation in the locker room. (I assume it will show up in your Patreon version.) You are spot on about the scene with Eskild, though. He tells Isak exactly what Isak needs to hear at that point. And I agree that Emma is way out of line in what she says. This is a brutal, but vital episode to get us where we need to go for the rest of the series.
I loved watching your reactions to Eskild's speech. That was such a great response from him. I remember watching this scene like oh no Isak, you're making it worse... and yup, even worse
I love your metaphor of the ‘gay club’, almost exactly how the Isak/Eskild convo starts in WTFock (Skam Belgium). Eskild is amazing, the other remakes never quite get it quite as right as the OG. Some one mentioned this as a response it the Patreon, in a interview with the actors that play Isak and Eskild, they both found this scene very emotional. Eskild’s actor, who is openly gay and out at the time, found it especially hard as during filming he really related to what Isak was saying, more than his own character, and it was a time of learning and self reflection for himself too. ❤
I didn't know that, and it's so interesting and also very understandable. It's an exceptional scene - it's the kind of thing a lot of people need to hear, both queer and straight. The actor who played Eskild really gave it socks and your comment explains why it has that special intensity and emotional edge.
I had to be a Patreon to see this epic episode with you guys. And it was 💯 worth it. You are amazing to analyze and forsee/ predict . Especially the best Scene ever when Eskimd talks to Isak 🩷🙏👌👍 I try to see all SKAM reactions and you are on my top five. #SKAMfansince2017😅
Watching Skam live was an amazing experience, waiting for episodes to drop and never knowing when… then trying to work out the translations. It was a real roller coaster but a community built around it helping to alert you no matter what Timezone you were in and we won’t even go into the real time theories about the plot twists. It’s great rewatching it’s with you two…. Enjoy!
I can watch Skam-reactions how many times as ..ever. I love it. Ep 5 hits me in a different way nowadays compared to when I first saw it, back then I did not get what Eskild said but later I did, I just scold myself I had no clue for so long. I wish I had had some Eskild myself back then. I honestly did not understand why that person (in my life) was angry at me, and he did not want to explain. Too bad, I was very sad for a looong time. Then I got it, rewatching Skam s3 especially ep 5… and boy did it hit me. It still does honestly, but I like the way Isak understands what Eskild says. I can watch it so so many times. Love the whole Skam but s3 especially. I&E are in s4 too, so that’s good. I don’t think that is a spoiler. Hope not. Love your reaction vids!🙄😱🤐💜
i think something to know wrt. the locker room scene is that Isak has a lot of family issues, which is why he's hesitant to talk about how his folx would like Evan being his bf.
I simple love the Isak Elskid scene, not only because Elskid told Isak what he need to hear after that speech, but because this internalized homofobia is a very frequent thing that we have to deal as we come out and after
I absolutely agree with what you said about Eskilde’s speech. In the lgbtq community you can be as masc or as femme or as androgynous or whatever as you want. It’s most important that you’re being you!
I agree with all of your comments! The Eskild scene is so powerful and I think it was also really important that it was delivered by an out gay man (both in real life and in the show). I feel like Isaks reasoning is unfortunately quite common and yet before this I had never heard it be challenged in this way in any form of media. The whole speech is worded so perfectly. I love the opening scene because small things like this are so normalising for other young LGBT people. If it had been a heterosexual couple no one would have been surprised and this portrayal of reality shows we shouldn’t have to be. I can’t stand Emma. I understand being a hurt 16 year old girl but Isak never made any commitment to her. No one has a right to out anybody in any circumstance. After this I was so done with her. I love how much you guys pick up on without even realising how important it all is yet. Can’t wait for the next episode
I hope you’ll go on to react to season 4 as well! It’s focused around Sana but since Isak and Even are both in her circles they are also in it quite a bit and we get to understand them even better. There is also one particular scene between Sana and Isak which is maybe my favourite scene in Skam alongside the scene between Isak and Eskild in this episode. Oh and just btw Skam is actually pronounced similarly to the English word Scum 😅
Eskild's speech was amazing. I agree that the lbgt community is filled with all sorts of personality types. I'm a gaymer. I'm nerdy and big into gaming. It's all about respect for the different personality types in our community.
Y’all should definitely watch SKAM FRANCE after this. Emma’s French character apologizes for her behavior in this scene in the alternate French universe which I think is a nice touch.
Ooh, I haven't seen the show though I know a little about how this season ends and right now if I was there ... I would think that Evan got scared and told his girlfriend that Isak was the one who flirted with him and that he didn’t do anything. But he told Isak that he had talked to her and by that time it seemed like he had been honest to her (unless he lied to Isak). So in that case it would seem like it was his girlfriend who told other people the lie, and Evan decided to not say anything about it. But I can totally see Isak thinking that Evan was the one telling "everyone" the lie and being scared/angry. So much drama!
Yes , but for several reasons that he should have talked to Isak about. Also, Even didn’t just leave Isak after they spent the night together… he left a note on the pillow getting into the whole parallel universe idea of Isak’s . Not as good as talking, obviously, but he already cares deeply about Isak.
I LOVE Skam S3 and I'm so enjoying your reactions (I joined Patreon because you have so much new content and the full reactions are great). I don't agree though with the comments recommending Skam France or Druck or whatever. I tried watching the other versions and honestly I don't get wanting to watch something that's mainly the same but a bit different, and also I think OG Skam is just infinitely superior in terms of the naturalism of the performances etc. Nothing compares to Evak!
UGH i love THIS I could rewatch this show soooo many times. I am still eating my socks because the dutch version stopped the show just before the third season. ):< I wanted a dutch season 3 soooo bad Little sidenote, young royals and skam are two different countries haha.
Everything said in the locker room is important to remember! And especially the stuff about their parents and that Even says "They would have loved you"!
I love watching new ppl reacting to SKAM cuz omg at the end of the whole season (1-4) you will say "Yup!! SKAM IS LITERALLY FCKING TEEN SHOW MASTERPIECE" Just wait guys😀
I thought and said almost exactly what Isak did when I was first coming to term with being gay and coming out. It’s something that you mature out of as you grow up.
Watch SKAM France Season 3. You will LOVE Lucas and Eliott ❤ They change things around so it’s not like you’re watching the exact same thing. It follows the same story though. It’s beautiful!! ❤️❤️ The paint scene is EPIC!!
Does anyone else see the powerful reversal in Even in the locker room. He goes from *i told Sonia, I'm all in- to *my parents "would have" loved you in the seconds following Isak saying he decided it is better to not have mentally ill people in his life. And then he goes back to Sonia.
Also, this was the first episode i watched as it aired and it was a NIGHTMARE waiting for the next episode. I binged 1-4 and was excited for ep 5. Imagine the pain i felt :')
I know I say this every week, but I'm going to keep doing it, just to remind you... please please do Skam France straight after this. You'll fall in love with Elliott 😍
I always read the Isak Eskild scene a bit differently. I think Isak was trying (and failing) to talk about flamboyance and the fact that most visible portrayal of gay people was them being extremely flamboyant. Luckily representation has come a long way and it's no longer the only way to be gay. We owe the flamboyant ones a lot, and I'm very happy when ever I can see someone be their aunthentic selves, but I've always been annoyed when gay is used as an adjective to mean flamboyant.
13:31 - NO. Isak was right to question his right to be "not gay" in the way of many people see gay. I am like Isak. And there are many like Isak. I don't think blaming him is the way towards since we all just need to accept eachothers more. :D STILL I think that was a VERY good scene. This original Norwegean SKAM is something you guys should have watched from Season 1 to Season 4. :)
The locker room scène was a bit off in the subtitles. Thats to bad because its kinda important later in the show. The talk with eskild is so important because of Isak his own internal homophobia ❤ I loved your reaction at the ending. So much happened 😂❤
Once you have watched the rest of the season, come back and watch the locker room scene again. It is incredibly sad once you realize why Even said "I think the they'd love you". Even's parents are alive, he decided that they would never meet Isak after hearing him talk about his crazy mother 😭😭😭 Even gave him a good bye kiss 😭😭😭 😭😭😭
the thing what I love about skam is that they're not afraid to use realistic, natural dialogue and actually let characters say stupid shit as well and let them mess up like real teenagers would. That whole thing with Isak going all like „but I'm not THAT type of gay“ was painful to watch but actually would be a pretty realistic reponse for someone like Isak, same thing with Emma saying „come out of the closet“ of course it's not her right to say shit like that but I guess teenagers a lot of times say shit before thinking first. The natural dialogue really is what makes this show so amazing and one-of-a- kind. And yessssss Eskild absolutely slayed with that reponse immediatly letting Isak know that he messed up but not in the confrontational way making a huge dramatic scene out of it but just telling him like a normal person that what he just said is absolutely fucked up and that he should think about what he did and figure shit out so so so good.. your reactions really want to make me watch it again 😂❤ haha still have all the episodes in my google drive
Guys!!! Why don't you react to SKAM FRANCE season3 ???!!!! I'm telling you!! It's miles a head from other skams!!! The chemistry between two actors!! The intimacy! Everything is just WOW!!! BELIEVE ME!
Watching all four seasons really adds a lot of depth to all the characters, but Emma doesn’t grow a lot. Also, never has any repercussions from loudly saying that he’s gay and having other people hear
i 100% understand what Isak was trying to say, and that he clearly didn't MEAN to offend, but like Eskild said, you dont put yourself above the people who gave you even the OPTION to be a 'different gay'. Yes, people like isak who aren't the stereotype gay will have their own struggles in coming out constantly and having people assume things, but that's nowhere near the struggle of feminine gay men who are constantly beaten and belittled for the way they are. And that's not to dilute the struggles Isak and people like him will face, but rather to say you need to read the room and check your privilege.
Also, Isak is my favorite character and i adore him, so this comes from love. He's allowed to make these mistakes and learn from them. And I never look down on him for this moment because he had to get that reality check :) and he's been through a lot, so it's understandable. Not to mention, this was 2016 i believe. So.
All the times i've seen straight people hype Emma up during that scene pissed me off. Like, they don't understand the struggle of being in the closet. She had no right to say that and it made me dislike her entirely. She was already annoying but that was ridiculous. It's wrong to say that in 2023, let alone 2016.
Maybe I am the devils advocate here but I can definitely see Isaks point of view in the talk with Eskild. Not wanting to be described by your sexuality and being automatically put in a box where people make assumptions about your personality, interests, the way you act etc from a societal pov just because someone describes you as the "gay" friend can get super exhausting. It's all about respect as you said but there also needs to be respect for those who don't feel like they belong in the community and/or in the pride/club scene. Personally I hate being described as the "gay" friend because I feel like it diminishes me into a sexuality when I as a person have so many way more interesting traits to my personality than who I prefer in bed.
15:54 - He does not make the good choises because he's 16... And that's why I love SKAM. It really is so gringe to watch but I was as gringe when I was 16. I love SKAM.
GUYS. YOU //HAVE// TO WATCH SKAM FRANCE'S EQUIVALENT EPISODE TO THIS. DYING TO SEE YOUR REACTION TO THAT. And noooooo, your guys' faces changed about a hundred different times during isak and eskilde's scene. Hard same. That scene was what my entire midterm paper was about for my media and culture studies.
I actually thought Emmas reaction telling Isak to come out of the closet was fair enough, and pretty Powerful for underlining that girls enotions should not be used or sidelined for others self realisation. I think maybe the concept of "intersectionality" comes into it here? that cis white male gay men need to consider the privilege of patriarchy by thinking it's ok ignoring the value of women's emotions. Gay boys feelings don't matter more than straight girls. Basically, don't use girls to test or hide behind...? Hope I'm making sense!
It’s fine for her to be mad at being strung along, but it’s not right for her to tell someone else to come out of the closet. People have different reasons for keeping that stuff private, in Isak’s case he’s worried about how his mom would react, and he doesn’t even label himself as gay yet because he’s still figuring it out. He shouldn’t have strung her along and she has every right to be mad about that, but forcing someone out of the closet is not “empowering for women.”
She didn't force him to come out, she forcefully suggested he should. I thought it was a realistic reaction, and maybe even a good lesson for boys "figuring it out"... 🤷
No, I don't agree. Never liked the concept of community. Too many assumptions involved. I have brown eyes but don't feel part of some brown eyed world. I am male but don't feel part of some fraternity.
Being brown eyed and being just a "male" isn't necessarily linked to years of oppression and targeted harassment from society, worldwide. Even progressive countries have daunting statistics showing discriminatory practices against queer people. Being queer directly links you to that reality because the world isn't about to ignore the fact that you're different. Different in the way that it CAN get you killed. Community is what educates people and saves lives. Who tf cares if you don't give a sh*t about having brown eyes?
That little Norwegian show really rewrote the whole book about making an LGBTQ+ tv show. It paved the way for everything we see now even if people don't realize it. In my opinion it is still by far the best.
I agree with you 100%, having only seen it after watching Heartstopper and Young Royals - this is the Ur show. It's exceptionally good. The later shows are not copies or replicas - they're all quite different in fact - but what Skam did in 2016 was unprecedented. It's great that it's having a second life now.
Seriously. It set the standard
The whole speech of Eskild is one of the best scenes in SKAM, in my opinion. He nailed it! I absolutely looove that scene.
The actor of Eskild actually said in interviews that that, now iconic, scene was surprisingly hard for him to do because he was actually in Isaks perspective IRL when they were filming... And so he had a LOT to unpack within himself during the process of filming this show.
@@AnxietyRat Wow I didn’t know that! I can only imagine how hard it must’ve had been for him.
i love how the show’s title means shame as well, it could be how the characters work their way through shame and overcome it
I watched Skam in real time back in 2016 as the clips were droping and dear fucking god i remember so vividly watching that last clip.
Ohhh I envy you! I discovered skam way later unfortunately, I guess 2020
👏👏👏👏👏🏳️🌈🤩😍
@@ladywiththecats I thought so! Yeah, these subtitles are a little off. Thanks for your comment! I was surprised to see “boyfriend” there too!
Norwegian here: He asked what they'd think if they were together. as in a couple. but that's not a super serious thing at that age, which people who've watched season 1 and 2 already know. or just people who were in relationships when they were teens. teens do messed up stuff all the time, brain going through major reorganisation and all that.
I love how you guys did a full “4 stages of grief react” in the Isaac/Eskild convo scene 😂
Anyone in the comments considering Patreon, the uncut version of this episode is 1hr of fantastic commentary and reaction for Josh and Alex. It’s worth every cent for this episode alone ❤
Awww thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
I hate when reactions are just people staring at a screen lol this is not a "watch party", I wanna hear people's takes on the show 😅
anyways you guys are great, appreciate! 🎉 Exited to tune in for all the next videos!!
I wish you released these more than once a week because I’m so excited for you guys to see where the season goes!! I’ve loved your insight so far though, I know it’ll only get better as more things start to unfold.
You may be in for a treat this week 😉
@@AStoryWorthTelling😍
@@AStoryWorthTelling ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh please🥰
@@AStoryWorthTelling whaaaaaat
It’s all soooo good from here on out!
Wilmon fluff in Season 3 or we riot 🔥
Haha I'm the opposite, watched skam, then young royals, then heartstopper, all when they released. Skam still stands the test of time to me, and it's really cool to see people still discovering it now. It's amazing
Haha that kissing scene in the beginning reminded me of the S3 bloopers. Hope you guys watch those as well. 😊
OMG yes!!! The bloopers are so great
I love looking back on Isak and Evens high chat about parallel universes so much!
Both are valid translations of the Norwegian sentence, but I personally think that "They'd love you" captures the meaning better in this scene.
I was so excited for your reaction to Eskilds scene! He really spoke some truths!
I want two episodes per week! I love your reaction to SKAM
i just think you two are hilarious, so glad you're enjoying the show as much as i do
Welcome to SKAM’s hell week 💀

Yeah, the trailers are very artistically done, and S3 trailer is great! Haha
@@heidi_d In an interview Julie Andem was asked what her favorite scene was and she talked about the season 3 trailer. It so good!
I _love_ your skam reactions 😍✨
It was so painful to see Even kissing her. It all makes sense later, but atm it really sucks.
I love Eskild. Eskild’s speech >>>>>>>>>>
OMG I absolutely LOVE Druck and what they did with the Isak and Even storyline. ❤
Omg yes Druck is my absolute favorite remake. I hope @AStoryWorthTelling react to its 3rd season next. I love it so much it even came close to beating the og as my favorite.
@@lancelotandmerlin 💯!!!

Yes, Druck is the best of remames
man, I had forgotten how much I liked this tv show!?? And your reviews on this episode in particular are better than therapy!
love this reaction. i love this episode as well -- the journey it takes you on is such an agonizing one, but it has so many highs as well. when I first watched this show a few months ago, I was giggling when eskild first approached isak in his room but boy does that scene take a turn and keeps getting worse. it's tough to sit through lol, but it's definitely worth it.
*character development shuffle* 🕺
I know people are going to drown you in requests for the remakes of Season 3. Generally there are THREE of them that people refer to:
-Skam France
-Skam Germany (Druck)
-Skam Belgium (WTFock)
France is steamy and omg the boys are incredibly hot.
(Skam Italia isn’t usually included because the chemistry just isn’t there TBH.)
Hope that’s a little helpful in helping you navigate your next Skam binge, if we are lucky enough to have you do so! 💛xo
such an accurate description on why ppl recommend certain remakes haha
@@underpressure. Thx! Big fan of yours BTW 👍🏻
Very accurate descriptions Heidi.
So much lobbying by fans for the various remakes gives me a chuckle. VERY loyal SKAM devotees!
@@marthahammel8543 Haha! I know right?! Thanks Martha 😊
I really would love to watch your reactions to season 3 of DRUCK (the German SKAM) after you finished this. Thank you for your great reactions. ❤
True…that’s something that’s missed if you haven’t seen previous seasons.
I simple love the Isak Elskid scene, not only because Elskid told Isak what he need to hear after that speech, but because this internalized homofobia is a very frequent thing that we have to deal as we come out and after
The talk of parallel universes is even more amazing when you consider there are several other versions of Isak and Even in the remakes ❤
I want you to pay attention to the scene in the locker room... that might make you understand later why certain things happened!
Yes, and there is a very important part of the conversation missing here - the actual reason why Even says that things have happened too quickly...
I absolutely agree with what you said about Eskilde’s speech. In the lgbtq community you can be as masc or as femme or as androgynous or whatever as you want. It’s most important that you’re being you!
Hope after you watched the show you will watch the bloopers of season 3…
These are on UA-cam and are so funny😂😂😂
🙋🏻♀️ Present and accounted for. Let’s go!
Thanks Josh and Alex
Ooh, I haven't seen the show though I know a little about how this season ends and right now if I was there ... I would think that Evan got scared and told his girlfriend that Isak was the one who flirted with him and that he didn’t do anything.
But he told Isak that he had talked to her and by that time it seemed like he had been honest to her (unless he lied to Isak). So in that case it would seem like it was his girlfriend who told other people the lie, and Evan decided to not say anything about it.
But I can totally see Isak thinking that Evan was the one telling "everyone" the lie and being scared/angry.
So much drama!
This show is the dark horse in my greatest of all time TV shows list.
Even definitely is a bit of a rollercoaster boyfriend during this episode.
UGH i love THIS
I could rewatch this show soooo many times.
I am still eating my socks because the dutch version stopped the show just before the third season. ):< I wanted a dutch season 3 soooo bad

Everything said in the locker room is important to remember! And especially the stuff about their parents and that Even says "They would have loved you"!
I love watching new ppl reacting to SKAM cuz omg at the end of the whole season (1-4) you will say "Yup!! SKAM IS LITERALLY FCKING TEEN SHOW MASTERPIECE"
Just wait guys😀
I thought and said almost exactly what Isak did when I was first coming to term with being gay and coming out. It’s something that you mature out of as you grow up.
i loved seeing you go trhought this rollerscoaster of an episode xD

STILL I think that was a VERY good scene. This original Norwegean SKAM is something you guys should have watched from Season 1 to Season 4. :)

The locker room scène was a bit off in the subtitles. Thats to bad because its kinda important later in the show. The talk with eskild is so important because of Isak his own internal homophobia ❤

Really hope you guys will react to Season 3 of SKAM France after this.
Will you be reacting to any of the remakes? WTFock is my favorite
the thing what I love about skam is that they're not afraid to use realistic, natural dialogue and actually let characters say stupid shit as well and let them mess up like real teenagers would.
And yessssss Eskild absolutely slayed with that reponse immediatly letting Isak know that he messed up but not in the confrontational way making a huge dramatic scene out of it but just telling him like a normal person that what he just said is absolutely fucked up and that he should think about what he did and figure shit out
so so so good.. your reactions really want to make me watch it again 😂❤ haha still have all the episodes in my google drive
After yall watch this yall HAVE to watch the France version.

Guys!!!
Why don't you react to SKAM FRANCE season3 ???!!!!
I'm telling you!! It's miles a head from other skams!!!
The chemistry between two actors!! The intimacy! Everything is just WOW!!!
BELIEVE ME!
This is such an insane episode, right?
So.
Emma's bitchfest at the party was obviously out of bounds, but it also felt like a real response that would still happen today in 2023.
Damn episode 5 is allways the best and the worst in all seasons! I have seen it so often, but my heart can't take it! Never!! 😭😭
I love skamm
All the times i've seen straight people hype Emma up during that scene pissed me off. Like, they don't understand the struggle of being in the closet. She had no right to say that and it made me dislike her entirely. She was already annoying but that was ridiculous. It's wrong to say that in 2023, let alone 2016.
The synchronized gasp when you saw that Even is at the party 😂👌
I wonder what you’ll think kf the other remakes… ❤
Please, please, please watch ss 1 and 2 of skam as well❤❤
Or they gay in real life
No, I don't agree. Never liked the concept of community. Too many assumptions involved. I have brown eyes but don't feel part of some brown eyed world. I am male but don't feel part of some fraternity.
Community is how humanity survives my good dude
@@JustWandering fucken, exactly.
